I love how this track started with that urban feel for the streets then took on the orchestral feel with the very nice chord choices and harmonies within the chords.Took a whole new life and direction. Another great vid...

@Ambassador1 Hey, been a fan of your vids for quite some time now, found ur beats to be just freaking amazing. Anyways I deeply love music especially old school rap and hip hop and im really interested into learning how to make some beats and maybe even a song. So first question: What do i exactly need to start making beats? What do I Need to know about things like the MPC? Do you recomend any specific book or video to check out before i do this? What MPC do you recomend i use? Thanks in advance

Thumbs up if yall hear a Pac and MJB duet on this 1--B Cox did again w/a gutter, raw, soul joint. Bass/guit stab/chop with the stiff, raw drums give it a hard street vibe. the strings and paino add a nice melancholy feel--that ONLY Mary and Pac would do justice to!

what kontakt program were you using to give you that piano sound. I have a few kontakt piano sounds but they all sound to brittle... like the Vienna and NY grand by native instruments... even the Best Service Galaxy Vintage D sounds brittle!

What's good B? First let me say, you are truly an inspiration. Troy Taylor put me onto you years ago when I was working under him, and Charles( The Characters ). Although I never met you, I still look at you as one of my mentors. I just wanna say Thank You.. Now, my question is How are you getting the MPC to trigger logic? It never worked that way for me. Logic had to be the master.

  • @timm.2422

The sample track was cool, but that track at the beginning of the video! There's so many avenues you can go vocally on a record like that. Real grown. I can hear Keisha Cole over that. Even Trey Songz would kill that joint as long as it's written and vocally produced the right way so that the artist and the track compliment each other. **Side note** that clap sounded like a gun shot. Nice reverb and mix to it. I wonder if Sam I Am mixed that track..?
