I just picked up a used MPC and was looking for a quick way to start... This is the first video I found, and it was really helpful. Thanks for taking the time to make this!
just got home from picking up an mpc 2500 (still have an 2000xl) and this is the first video that came up... the previous owner put jjos on it, but had the "assign sample to pad" set to "off" and i wasn't aware that this was even possible.. that's awesome and will make things much easier.. thanks man!
Awesome. Thank you for putting this tutorial together. I'm a total novice to the way the MPC's work. In the past 6 months I've scored a 60MKII and a 2500. Both needed some love but I'm also a tech so that part was easy. It's the OS's that have been a bit of a stump for me but watching your video has shown me the similarities between the way the two machines operate. The 2500 just has more features and options. Please make some more videos! Respect. 😎
ooo Man You Rock with this one !!!! j have mpc 2500 and j dont know how to roll with this ...... You so Helpful !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope that You do more of Tutorial Videos !!!!! So So So Great Work Man !!!! Thanks Alot !!!!!!! greeatings form Poland :)
great video.I have a question..in the F5 when loading samples in my 2500 it says delete instead of play so how can i hear the samples before i load it.thanks
Have to fav this one fam jus in case I get one of these one day.. 2500, you & hill have Mad gear.. Always glad to see & hear you doing ya thing Overlor.. Clint.. 1
Very good explanation of the Window setting and loading stuff to RAM, great thing to know for improved workflow. I have the 5000 myself but I haven't used it much yet, since it's a bit hard to find good tutorials for that model (I guess it's because the 2500 is more popular). Though, this worked well on that too. The only thing I've noticed so far that is different is the placement of the buttons. Menus and basic functions seems to be the same. Anyways, nice vid. Keep doing what you do.
Great Tutorial Bro I Use Native Instruments Maschine... I Always Wanted An MPC But The Whole Working Without An Computer Thing Always Threw Me Off, But Now I Feel More Comfortable Buying One
yo for some reason when i find the sound i want and press 'do it' it dosnt come up with 'assign to pad' it just says 'sample name exists!! replace or rename?' any ideas?? thanks
I have an MPC2500 with CD drive. It has alot of sounds to choose from. Is there a way to load every sound from the CD to the MPC without having to go through every single sound and choose wich ones I want? It's takes so much time to audition all the sounds I want to use.
Nath Jones Same here but I can't imagine getting rid of a classic. I still like to use it to stretch my creativity because of it's limitations compared to the Ren. Thanks for watching fam.
Is this the free version of JJOS? I noticed they have 3.13 for free, but not sure if it has limitations or you have to pay to make it save or something. Any idea?
Damn a whole year right!! I am sorry I missed this question. Cloud Paradigms is correct. Also if you decide to go into a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) on your computer a interface will be needed.

Do you need any other hard wear than the mpc and a laptop?
Only for tracking out if you want a digital version of your beat.
