Moskvin is insane.... he demonstrated his ability to finger the sample pattern while performing the drums, but went absolutely crazy when it came to doing the drums alone
Moskvin uses some really deep and well rounded samples, but his timing and technique is not the same as some of the competitors I've seen. Too many press one button and wait moments. Nick is legitimatly old school in his approach, flawless in execution, but the casuals just aren't into it.
agreed, but you gotta remember, Being great at sampling is also part of being a beatmaker. there are better guys in terms of timing and technique, but the crowd always prefers something more catchy than "skilled".
I didn't think this was even close, Nick Brown should be winner in a landslide. One guy had thoughtful, well constructed beats that breathed, had timing, and flow. The other guy was noisy and loud and the beats lacked flow and funk if you ask me. In those last little drum segments neither were great but Moskvin frankly mistimed all sorts of drums throughout. Obviously both guys are really talented and deserve praise, splitting hairs on two talented people so consider the context of my comment.
Yea it' s the revival of 90s rave fashion, and by the looks of it the Russian kids are bang into it. Surprised i didn't see a Naf Naf puffa or a Benetton rugby shirt in the crowd!
Both them are great. Moskvin has dirty drums from the 90s and Nick Brown got them clean drums from the 2000s. Both challengers has some good 90s Boom Bap Jazz/Funk Pop samples. Great job for both of them! I like it.
Про Москвина могу сказать одно. мало того что он так битует. Этот человек с огромным опытом. Он мультиинструменталист, гитара, барабаны, бас, вокал. клавиши, помешан на музыке!!!. Потому в его стиле много чего намешано!!!.
