The Hip have a warehouse in Kingston Ontario where they have every live show recorded in Audio since almost when they started. I don't know how much video they have. They do have 4 special order live cd's that you can find. They're called 'Live from the Vault', fantastic set of discs
Wow I heard this on a TV special late one night back in JR High...some CBC special. I had it on tape for a long time( held a tape recorder to the tv set) LOL!! and could never find it since. Thank you for posting this
I understand for personal reasons that this was never released but this is a classic tune! I have a different version and am very grateful that you posted this!
Why was this never put on an album…. This song is a gem! I want this so bad…. Dear tragically hip….. why did u never record this? I’d love to know why!! I love the hip…. Up to here one of the greatest albums ever recorded but this has to be my favourite hip song! One of my favourite songs all time!
Best Band ever, I cant believe they arent big in the states when shitty ass bands like U2 are big. Thats fine though, its what makes them even more Canadian, Hip are the best rock band in the world!
The Hip are great to be sure and let me assure you there are plenty of Hip fans here in the states. Gord is amazing and was tragically (pun intended - Gord would approve) taken from us wayyyyyyy too early. However - let's not be ridiculous and call U2 a "shitty ass band". U2's a band that has produced some really great songs, sold millions of records, and (sometimes annoyingly so I admit) used there fame to get more than a bit preachy. Rolling Stone rates them the 22nd of the top 100 bands of all time - which doesn't amount to much but calling them a "shitty ass band" is well - ignorant. You may not like them, but let's put things in perspective.
An unplucked gem....
Last one.
I'm kinda dumb and so are you
RIP Gord. We love you.
This song changed my life because it's such a weepy little thing

It was supposed to be on the “up to here” album but it got bumped off by “38 years old” after they wrote it in a hotel room in Memphis.
There's The Hip being melancholy again, imagine that. Rock On!!!!
Big hopes for the new album too but I suggest you give "times are passing us by" if you like the classic unreleased hip.
