She can express her grief (which she did in later scenes) especially with her best friends but I think her not doing the dramatic recriminations scenes typical in dramas gave her back the power - the other woman wanted to see her crumble so that she could have the last “laugh” or to prove she has the power to bring the wife to her knees (so to speak). Acting the way she did, I think allowed her to wrestle back the dignity this other woman sought to take from her. But that is just how I view it. Other folks might definitely feel the other way and I guess it boils down to what works for each person. 🙂

I totally agree with this. A million women might want him, but that does not mean he has any obligation to return their feelings. He made a vow to love, honor, and respect his wife. As soon as he starts to even think of having an affair furthermore acts it out regardless if emotions were involved or not, he's the one to blame. Those vows were broken already once those thoughts were mentioned. Yeah, that mistress is to blame too for wanting someone else's husband, and most of the time they want that other person's livelihood. In the end, it's the husband that lets that person in, no one else. He's the one to blame and should just tuck his tail and leave.
