All I can say this Drama is very true to life. I thought wife. Absolutely wonderful. Very calm no screaming, no shouting, just deep hurt of what he did to the Family. This is a lovely drama to watch. Well done Admin

They did have discussions, however he made many mistakes in his work and it was her who had to deal with the consequences of his errors, after sometime, she had to make most of the decisions what should be done and what not and he resented her for that, not remembering how many times she had helped him fix his problems. Just take a good look at the blue firework's development. She told him that it would be pretty much dangerous if he'd continue to do it, but to please his mistress, he went against his wife's warning, which resulted in the exploding of the firework facility and him ending up in prison.
Him getting imprisoned asap is kinda an easy way out for him. He should've gone to the mistress after he lost everything, and then he'll suffer because there's no longer a capable wife taking care of him, then his health deteriorates because the mistress enables his bad habits, they lose their money, and the mistress leaves him, his son is disappointed in him, THEN he goes to prison.

The price to pay for his adultery was extremely great.

All over some broke, thirsty, 23 year old tail who was obsessed with trying to leach off the coattails of another woman’s efforts.
It's always like that. They regret only when they're at their dead end. It does not have anything to do with being remorseful for the hurt and damage caused to the person they cheated on. There are wives who cheat on their husbands too, but mostly, wives are always the best life-partners to their husbands.

I love the naration at the end by the three wonderful ladies. Besties for life people. This is the friendship every woman deserve to have. This drama is awesome, lots of lessons about womanhood. Todays society expect capable and independent women can do every thing but at the same time labeling them as selfish, overbearing and coldhearted. But well, they actually just want a good life.
There’s always the possibility that they’ll get back together as they share a son, so the contact is still there. Besides they still love each other, admitting too, to their own faults in the relationship. It’s just that he finally agreed to divorce her, unselfishly, so it frees her to have someone else in her life if she so wishes. It’s his ultimate proof of his love for her. She could have instigated a divorce even if he was unwilling, as she has grounds. However, they both waited for the other to decide, out of mutual love.

I feel watching them having the telephone conversation that they still love each other. Those glances are so full of love. I think they will reconcile later on though in most of my comments about this drama, I say the wife should not take him back. Well, he has learned his lesson and maybe they will again be a happy family. The wife said she also had mistakes in their marriage. I think at this point she has forgiven the husband. Absolutely agreed with these three ladies' stories. Age before thirty and after thirty. Before marriage and after marriage. I used to (and still had some) hatred about Shanghai. Many years ago, before I was married, I was been send to that city by my previous corporate firm, temporary in charged of Shanghai branch office's management before they finds a suitable candidate (a CEO) for that position. And I was in my early thirty's and just a COO. I was willing to took up this temporary position and based there for within six months the most before the right candidate took over. And I was single at then. Before with that previous corporate firm, I was a cabin crew. There was uncountable European routings or long haul flights, Shanghai was a stop over city for us the fleet crew. It was very much landed there at night and straight away checked into the assigned hotel that was nearby to the airport for us to get a night's sleep before the next day we continued on our routes. At then, Shanghai was a city that sort of fascinated me, I wanted to visit but due to the tight schedule of flight time, I didn't got that chance. Until my contract with that airline had fully served, and I had resigned and joined that previous corporate firm. So when the management assigned me to be based at Shanghai for a temporary duration of within six months, I was sort of excited and looking forward to ventured into that city, understanding and exploring the cultures, lifestyles and peoples. Simplified, I was full of life before I went. And so I went ahead. At there, my story begun. My story, I was playing the role like in this drama the mistress "Lin Yo Yo". Honestly, I really didn't knew at all. My differences compared to "Lin Yo Yo" was, I was unaware this guy that I had a short "crushed" was indeed a married guy / man. In fact, I was been fooled by the entire branch's colleagues. Because I was a foreigner, an expatriate that managed that entire office there, as the COO, their superior. But just for temporary. This guy, he's one of (considered as a) subordinate under me. No doubt, the attractions between us was fast. Similar mindset, mentality, interests ... etc. But I knew clearly that we couldn't be long forever together, and somehow the day comes, I'll be still returning to my homeland. So I wasn't taking things in between us too seriously or with too much hopes. Needless to mentioned intimacies. We hadn't gone till this part yet. It was more on casual till formal datings / outings. There was no sign at all about this guy was married. He lived alone, and everything about him was totally like a bachelor. But the truth was, his wife was residing at his village or the state he was from, and he came to this metropolitan city to pursued for a better career with with better pay range compared to the pay range in his state or village. That's why he portraits exactly like a single eligible bachelor. And worst, in that branch office, several of his colleagues actually knew his real “status”. No one had told me a single word about it. They were like watching a "comedy" of me. Because I'm a foreigner, I'm half Asian with mix ethnic. Perhaps for him, I was like a “trophy” for him to date, it's like dating an Eurasian (European with Asian ethnic), like a "show off" when we goes out. And the rest, it's almost 90% similar like how in this drama the cheating husband "Xue Huan Shan" lied to me. Exactly the f**king same ways of lying. Until things got into the end of the fourth month. Out of the sudden one day, his village wife came to this metropolitan city to visit him. And it was blunt. She came straight to the office there and showed up to him like a surprise visit. And everyone was waiting to looked at my reactions, as seem I was their clown, their joke to laughed at. I then realized, what a messed I'd caused. Not just it hurts me, I was almost hurting another lady as well without my knowing. In just that brief one night at my own condominium, I'd realized what a cruel joke these people played on me. This bastard played on me. They was hoping I'll crashed, torn, broke, or jealous and angried like a fool. Fortunately, I wasn't that category of people that they thought I should be. Remember I'd mentioned earlier, way before I was a cabin crew. As cabin crew, we was trained to handled situations with the most sensible, logical ways, regardless how annoying a passenger could be. So yeah, they had underestimated me. I didn't felt for their cruelest joke that they waited to see. And I also realized, I almost hurt another women, just like in this drama "Gu Jia" the wife. Fortunately, things hadn't gone too far deep developed yet between us. Coz I'd mentioned, I knew I won't be long in that metropolitan city, I'm just there temporary, and what can I expected much from there ? Somehow I'll still needs to return to my country. And next my rational thoughts - I really need to take a move out of that city as soonest as possible. I ain't gonna be their joker or his joker. So I contacted my chairman, the owner of my previous corporate firm. And I requested an immediate return back to my country, reasons being “I'm Not Used To The Working Culture and Lifestyle There”. I need to retrieved immediately. Fortunately, my request was granted instantly. And the following week, as I packed up both my personal belongings and wrapped up my work, I left this sh*t city with myriad emotions. Angered, Hatred, Vengeance, Regretted, Exhausted and Devastated. They thought after I'd left, the "comedy" was over, and they had enough fun on me. When I returned back to my country where the head quarter office I'm based at, I was then beginning to felt emotional, upset. And I was on leave for two weeks, absent from work. My chairman / boss had noticed something ain't right about me. The following week, I was been called in to his office for report. And so I told the truth. It was clearly I was been humiliated, insulted, deceived. The conclusion - The chairman resend another more higher ranking officer, a Caucasian male CEO to be based at that branch office with his family (wife and kids). I was just a COO, and by my tasks and rank, no doubt I should be reported to the CEO. When this new CEO took over the position at that branch, his first priority was to terminate that bastard and quite several few staffs that was involved in this humiliation game they placed on me. Not just for me, it's an unwanted culture and attitude of work the corporate firm expected. It was been ordered to executed so by the chairman to that new CEO, and he was been pretold about their working cultures and attitudes. Ever since then, I can't denied, I hated that city. I hated their culture. I remained with that corporate firm for another three years then I resigned and move on to joined another multinational firm as CEO of S. E Asia & Asia Pacific Regions. But I'll never forget that lesson I'd learned. And this drama, I didn't watched it, I was just watching here several short videos and I got the whole story what was all about. It reminded me that unpleasant experience. But thankfully, I didn't hurt another women. That's the differences between my story compared with this drama's the mistress "Lin Yo Yo". And I also believes in retribution as well. In my experience, I think I have the right to says, it ain't my fault coz I really didn't knew. The retribution should goes to him, not me. Now looking back, certainly it doesn't felt any much, and I'm happily married with someone, at least my current husband if he lied, he knew his "limits". But usually are common lies, nothing too cruel or ruining away this marriage. Coz he too knew my this unpleasant experience. And he knew too well, if it's something too "over" he'd done, I'll be capable to walked out this marriage just like "Gu Jia" did so in this drama. And this experience, it was about two decades ago. Today, I'm a retiree and doing my freelance work from home.

What a bitter lesson for Xu Huan Shan... I doubt that even You You (Mistress) would take him back (even though they deserve each other). I wonder if Hua Shan's weak and immature character is similar to a lot of sons brought up by wealthy families. Everything is done for them, all problems and hardships are handled for him. The extraordinary woman who he marries ends up being kind of like a 'mom' to him. As much as I despise Xu Huan Shan, I absolutely hate the rich playboy dude that was screwing (in more ways than one) Man Ni. They should write another episode where a number of the women that he exploited, all go on another luxury cruise with him, and they end up throwing him overboard one night, somewhere on the East China Sea. 5 years later, his half eaten, decomposed body washes up on the Alaska coast, under a beautiful Northern Lights sky. hahaha!

幻山提離婚的時候的眼神，認真的彷彿很珍惜最後看她一樣。
感覺是真的覺得自己配不上顧佳，想到自己僅有的才能還是靠她才穩定賺錢的，現在被自己毀了。

I feel watching them having the telephone conversation that they still love each other. Those glances are so full of love. I think they will reconcile later on though in most of my comments about this drama, I say the wife should not take him back. Well, he has learned his lesson and maybe they will again be a happy family. The wife said she also had mistakes in their marriage. I think at this point she has forgiven the husband. Too bad the son will not have a father in 3 years. Sad.

I used to (and still had some) hatred about Shanghai.
Many years ago, before I was married, I was been send to that city by my previous corporate firm, temporary in charged of Shanghai branch office's management before they finds a suitable candidate (a CEO) for that position. And I was in my early thirty's and just a COO.
I was willing to took up this temporary position and based there for within six months the most before the right candidate took over. And I was single at then.
Before with that previous corporate firm, I was a cabin crew.
There was uncountable European routings or long haul flights, Shanghai was a stop over city for us the fleet crew. It was very much landed there at night and straight away checked into the assigned hotel that was nearby to the airport for us to get a night's sleep before the next day we continued on our routes.
At then, Shanghai was a city that sort of fascinated me, I wanted to visit but due to the tight schedule of flight time, I didn't got that chance.
Until my contract with that airline had fully served, and I had resigned and joined that previous corporate firm.
So when the management assigned me to be based at Shanghai for a temporary duration of within six months, I was sort of excited and looking forward to ventured into that city, understanding and exploring the cultures, lifestyles and peoples.
Simplified, I was full of life before I went.
And so I went ahead.
At there, my story begun.
My story, I was playing the role like in this drama the mistress "Lin Yo Yo".
Honestly, I really didn't knew at all.
My differences compared to "Lin Yo Yo" was, I was unaware this guy that I had a short "crushed" was indeed a married guy / man.
In fact, I was been fooled by the entire branch's colleagues.
Because I was a foreigner, an expatriate that managed that entire office there, as the COO, their superior. But just for temporary.
This guy, he's one of (considered as a) subordinate under me.
No doubt, the attractions between us was fast. Similar mindset, mentality, interests ... etc.
But I knew clearly that we couldn't be long forever together, and somehow the day comes, I'll be still returning to my homeland.
So I wasn't taking things in between us too seriously or with too much hopes. Needless to mentioned intimacies. We hadn't gone till this part yet. It was more on casual till formal datings / outings.
There was no sign at all about this guy was married. He lived alone, and everything about him was totally like a bachelor.
But the truth was, his wife was residing at his village or the state he was from, and he came to this metropolitan city to pursued for a better career with with better pay range compared to the pay range in his state or village.
That's why he portraits exactly like a single eligible bachelor.
And worst, in that branch office, several of his colleagues actually knew his real “status”.
No one had told me a single word about it. They were like watching a "comedy" of me. Because I'm a foreigner, I'm half Asian with mix ethnic.
Perhaps for him, I was like a “trophy” for him to date, it's like dating an Eurasian (European with Asian ethnic), like a "show off" when we goes out.
And the rest, it's almost 90% similar like how in this drama the cheating husband "Xue Huan Shan" lied to me. Exactly the f**king same ways of lying.
Until things got into the end of the fourth month.
Out of the sudden one day, his village wife came to this metropolitan city to visit him.
And it was blunt.
She came straight to the office there and showed up to him like a surprise visit.
And everyone was waiting to looked at my reactions, as seem I was their clown, their joke to laughed at.
I then realized, what a messed I'd caused.
Not just it hurts me, I was almost hurting another lady as well without my knowing.
In just that brief one night at my own condominium, I'd realized what a cruel joke these people played on me. This bastard played on me. They was hoping I'll crashed, torn, broke, or jealous and angried like a fool.
Fortunately, I wasn't that category of people that they thought I should be.
Remember I'd mentioned earlier, way before I was a cabin crew.
As cabin crew, we was trained to handled situations with the most sensible, logical ways, regardless how annoying a passenger could be.
So yeah, they had underestimated me.
I didn't felt for their cruelest joke that they waited to see.
And I also realized, I almost hurt another women, just like in this drama "Gu Jia" the wife.
Fortunately, things hadn't gone too far deep developed yet between us.
Coz I'd mentioned, I knew I won't be long in that metropolitan city, I'm just there temporary, and what can I expected much from there ? Somehow I'll still needs to return to my country.
And next my rational thoughts -
I really need to take a move out of that city as soonest as possible. I ain't gonna be their joker or his joker.
So I contacted my chairman, the owner of my previous corporate firm. And I requested an immediate return back to my country, reasons being “I'm Not Used To The Working Culture and Lifestyle There”.
I need to retrieved immediately.
Fortunately, my request was granted instantly.
And the following week, as I packed up both my personal belongings and wrapped up my work, I left this sh*t city with myriad emotions.
Angered, Hatred, Vengeance, Regretted, Exhausted and Devastated.
They thought after I'd left, the "comedy" was over, and they had enough fun on me.
When I returned back to my country where the head quarter office I'm based at, I was then beginning to felt emotional, upset. And I was on leave for two weeks, absent from work.
My chairman / boss had noticed something ain't right about me.
The following week, I was been called in to his office for report.
And so I told the truth.
It was clearly I was been humiliated, insulted, deceived.
The conclusion -
The chairman resend another more higher ranking officer, a Caucasian male CEO to be based at that branch office with his family (wife and kids).
I was just a COO, and by my tasks and rank, no doubt I should be reported to the CEO.
When this new CEO took over the position at that branch, his first priority was to terminate that bastard and quite several few staffs that was involved in this humiliation game they placed on me.
Not just for me, it's an unwanted culture and attitude of work the corporate firm expected.
It was been ordered to executed so by the chairman to that new CEO, and he was been pretold about their working cultures and attitudes.
Ever since then, I can't denied, I hated that city. I hated their culture.
I remained with that corporate firm for another three years then I resigned and move on to joined another multinational firm as CEO of S. E Asia & Asia Pacific Regions.
But I'll never forget that lesson I'd learned.
And this drama, I didn't watched it, I was just watching here several short videos and I got the whole story what was all about. It reminded me that unpleasant experience.
But thankfully, I didn't hurt another women.
That's the differences between my story compared with this drama's the mistress "Lin Yo Yo".
And I also believes in retribution as well. In my experience, I think I have the right to says, it ain't my fault coz I really didn't knew.
The retribution should goes to him, not me.
Now looking back, certainly it doesn't felt any much, and I'm happily married with someone, at least my current husband if he lied, he knew his "limits". But usually are common lies, nothing too cruel or ruining away this marriage. Coz he too knew my this unpleasant experience. And he knew too well, if it's something too "over" he'd done, I'll be capable to walked out this marriage just like "Gu Jia" did so in this drama.
And this experience, it was about two decades ago.
Today, I'm a retiree and doing my freelance work from home.
