When I first watched this, I didn’t understand what she meant by only an incapable woman deals with the home wrecker. I finally realised what she means now. If the husband hadn’t had the audacity to have the affair, there’d be no home wrecker. It was his vow to remain faithful, but then he broke it. She was capable enough to see the problem lied with her husband, her marriage. A brave woman to face that fact and deal with the fall out within her family without involving the outsider who ruined it. I think it was truly disgusting that the home wrecker had the audacity to play psychological games with a CHILD! She is a home wrecker because she ruined someone’s marriage, but she is a sociopath when she fails to see her wrongs with harming a child mentally.
I love what the soon to be ex-wife did. She cancelled the lease on the mistress apartment, gave her 3 days to leave, but it was the slap that she gave her. That slap woke her all the way up.

I could really appreciate the character of the soon-to-be ex-wife in this scene because she shows how efficient she really could be if she wanted to deal with the mistress in the first place. In a way, she was merciful because she could have told her that the lease was cancelled with immediate effect and she had to leave, but she didn't. She gave her three days to find different accommodation that was not associated with her husband or family.

Wisdom, self determination, confidence… she’s truly an amazing example of an independent woman. She clearly doesn’t need a husband to live on with her life. Unlike Ling You You who is a leech and a homewrecker. She manipulates Huan Shan, becomes very shameless to the point of going into their home and spending time with Gu Jia’s son, and makes it very clear to Gu Jia that she’s the mistress, yet denies that what she did was wrong. Deep down she knows she’s not even close to being an equal to Gu Jia. She can’t win. And even when they do actually get divorced, she doesn’t get Xu Huan Shan in the end. That’s what she gets for knowingly getting in between a family.

Someone to love her wholeheartedly and one who would never cheat on her would be great, but She can also just stay single. Devote her life to her son and her passions if that is what makes her happy.
If i remember correctly, the husband started cheating because his ego could not handle that she was waaayyy more capaple than him. He was not capable enough, honest enough and strong enough to handle that situation. And the mistress was the ego booster that pampered his sad excuse of masculinity.
In the end karma did got to him, sad for the son, who has a father like him who cheated and went to jail. But then again his mom is rock solid.
I dont remember what happened to the mistress, but i do think sh deserves to marry a another guy who will also cheat on her. Eye for an eye thing. So i hope she finds one that looks perfect on the outside but one who is a cheater too... she how she handles that.

The owners of the fashion label are Gu jia and her friends, the writer and the other one who has returned from abroad. They tell Gu jia what they did, which she thought was unnecessary and excessive. Gu jia now has a successful tea company, and has ventured into investing in other companies, having bought majority stakes in a few wineries, and also a joint stake in a fashion label.
The ex husband, having completed his sentence, took up a job at a local cafe and worked his way to being a co-owner of a cafe. He still visits his child sometimes, but the visits are now just a couple times a year. The child having learnt the real reason behind the parent's divorce and being old enough to understand the reason, hates the father, and wants nothing to do with him. Gu jia isn't dating anyone seriously but has been on a few dates.
The writer and her husband are a happy family of three. Both her and her husband have had to mature by the arrival of their child. They now have a mutual understanding of each other and do not take the other for granted.
The other friend, after coming back from abroad, is now fully invested in the fashion label.
