Just got mine today thank you for this video it really helped me understand more about my primo bottom loader water dispenser..!🙂👍 I do have a question ? When changing out the 5 gallon water bottle do we turn off the power buttons located in the back top left hand side for the heat & cold I heard from Alhambra water delivery man that alot of customers burn these out because they run empty and it's sucking in air , we got ours from Alhambra should of bought it from Walmart instead of renting it for $6.99 a month but yeah today the delivery guy did tell us not to let it go dry or it can burn out so I'm now left wondering if it's best to power off between bottle changes...? If you have some advice for me I surely would appreciate it "thank you"

I've been debating on buy that very one (My Sam's Club has them). I am a bit discouraged, We (Wife & me) had a very pricey top load one, the hot water was barely warm and the "Ice Cold" was not, no colder then tap water.. I was impressed seeing the steam from the hot water button.. You never said how cold or not the ice cold was.. Could you please say if it does or not get very cold.. We enjoyed watching.. Thank you for sharing.. Also, we only use & drink spring water. We don't trust city water.. So on the one we used to have, I bought gallons of Ice Mountain spring water and poured them into the 5 gal one to use.. We gave it to our daughter our grandchildren love it..

I used to not like the newer ones I thought they redesigned them so you would get 3 or 4 ounces less of waterAnd the newer ones are concaved another feature I didn't like The older ones Mice can get inside of the bottles and be trapped in the handle. "Yes they can squeeze into a hole the size of a dime" Nothing worse than taking a drink of water and noticing a dead mouse stuck in the handle! I've been reusing my water bottles for about 15 years and they store well for about three or four months before they start getting mold, and it's green mold. It's not going to kill you. @@ArisBuliteanu It's only noisy when it's filling up and that's understandable because the water pump is probably the vibrating bladder type and not the electric motor type. It sounds relatively similar to a pair of electric hair clippers, but a little more base and it only runs for about 3/5 minutes, and you can't hear the compressor for the refrigeration unit at all! It's definitely quieter than my older Primo unit.

Primo recommends that you use the instructions below to dissolve mineral deposits, sanitize, and deodorize your dispenser every 3-4 months. Time Required: 30 minutes Need: (2) tablespoon regular bleach or (2) cups of distilled white vinegar, (1) Empty 5 gallon bottle, (1) 2-gallon bucket and a Philips head screwdriver.
Turn energy saving switches to OFF.
Unplug power cord from wall outlet.
      Remove water bottle.
Move appliance away from wall to gain access to the back.
Remove remaining water from reservoirs by dispensing from the hot and cold taps into a pitcher or bucket.
Remove the cap from a spare empty 5 gallon bottle. Pour the bleach (2 tbsp.) or vinegar (2 cups) and hot tap water (2 Gallons) into the empty bottle.
Apply the cleaning bottle to the dispenser.
Allow the cleaning solution to fill the reservoirs.
Wait 10 minutes then drain the water from the reservoirs as described in step 5.
Rinse the bottle and fill with only hot tap water and apply it to the dispenser.
Place a two gallon bucket in the back of the appliance and remove the drain plug, while also flushing water through the taps (step 5).
Replace the silicone plug and drain cap.
Return the unit to its location, install a fresh water bottle, plug the power cord into the grounded wall outlet and turn the energy saving switch ON.
