My conspiracy thought of the day: I have a feeling none of these grading and customer service problems will be fixed at Beckett. All of these things take just a little bit of time and investment and can be turned around. That's why they won't be fixed. If Beckett has any inclination to be purchased (which by all accounts seems like a real possibility), they would remove their appeal if they fixed the problems. Once the problems are fixed the upside is lost. So to keep appeal as a possible takeover candidate they must have things that can be fixed relatively easily.
I do think that Beckett-graded cards will have some people think internally "Well, can I even trust that grade?". Overall, I believe that this is the same as most industries these days - they will do anything to squeeze all the profit as possible, while giving us the least possible. If they all do the same thing, we're F'ed for choices.
Yup! It’s going to be interesting going forward because I already don’t trust grading 100% and now with all of this going on with Beckett I really don’t
I like the look of the cards when they graded but the price and timeframe are ridiculous! Should be like $5 per card, not $40+ after it’s all said and done. That def rubs people the wrong way. Thx for chiming in!
The only gradein company that i would trust is sgc because there strict on grades the only time that i would use psa is if the card is a tough one to find if you was to buy
@@Mattgipson21The parent company does: Collectors Universe. They bought SGC because of PSA getting into constant controversy that's killing their reputation. It's just a matter of time they cut the losses on PSA and sell them to Fanatics.
I sent 8 cards from my PWCC vault to PSA for re-casing. PWCC said they didn't know where they were. After 6 months and the Tigard Police Dept. PWCC said PSA had them. That very day a Mr. Salgado PSA called and said he had the cards. He had wiped the cert. #'s from the registration. That's why I couldn't find them. Salgado immediately sent me the 8 cards still in cracked cases back to me and suspended me forever. I believe Salgado tried to steal my cards. PSA is OK what Salgado did. Salgado said PSA has the right to void serial numbers on the cards when they arrive. He hid them in a secret file. Salgado is a thief that got caught and PSA didn't do a damn thing. They're all a bunch of crooks and thieves.
@@FDLrick No kidding!! I never trusted that vault thing! I don’t understand why you would want to get a card graded and then put it in some vault? Makes no sense.
I wouldn’t be surprised down the road if PSA gets in trouble for something.
The controversies have been climbing; it's been one after another.
Yup! You can def. go down a bunch of rabbit holes. Cheers guys!
Grading is magic preformed by wizards 😊
😂😂
Hahahahahahah. Almost like the Wizard of Oz
@ the sooner we accept it’s magic the more fun you have grading. 😁

Not a fan of grading, I’ll take a raw card in the purest original old school form

@ as long as the card looks good, I’m fine with it, doesn’t need to be perfect but if I was gonna grade, I’d prob find a cheaper company to grade with
@ yea, PSA was a 4 month wait and 45$

You do realize PSA owns SGC, right?

After this, I have lost faith in a lot of grading. Somehow, they will have to regain everyone’s trust to be successful.
