Best $1 boxes to look through are cards from the 90s into the early 2000s. The newer collectors have no clue about them and don't look through them. I regularly find $20 to $100 cards in $1 bins. Best one was a Shaquille O'Neal late 90s linchpins insert. Sold it for over $200
The amount of hate Geoff gets in the comments is crazy to me. I understand not loving the idea that a rich TH-camr negotiates for sports cards but it’s part of the hobby! For me I am unable to go to card shows often and this allows me to almost experience one virtually. Thanks for all you put out Geoff.
What a cool video Geoff and very nostalgic. I started collecting in the early 90's at school and still have almost every card from the last 30 years as I rarely sell anything, and this was like a trip down memory lane seeing the old styles and how good they were compared to today's inserts (not all are bad). It also reminded me of the hidden treasures I forgot about since putting more focus on current players. Might be time to dig out the card boxes and share them back into the world being now 40 years old, maybe I need a boat instead 😁
Asking him to do $8 for 10 dollar cards and then paying with a $10 bill is crazy work and so rude, especially when you’re a millionaire and literally recording content with them in it and taking forever to draw out an $8 transaction. You didn’t need him to fish you those 2 one dollar bills In change Geoff… cmon man
You clearly don’t know how sports card show work. Geoff is completely in the right for asking and negotiating with the dealer. In fact most dealers fully expect to get offers on most cards it is how the sports card world works
Horrible logic. This dudes daily overhead cost just to function and be as successful he is in the six figures + everyday. He buys hundreds and hundreds of cars every single day and dollar cards or not he’s taking down his overhead by negotiating, few dealers expect to get actual sticker/ getting bulk off their hands that they don’t find valuable for their business model is often a win win. Also a ton of young kids/ people just getting into the hobby and negotiating isn’t as common today so this is teaching new people into the hobby on how to negotiate.
I love the 90's inserts😎👍I got super lucky finding some low numbers & autos of Jared McCain RC don't be shocked when he appears on the top 5 very soon. 🤑💯
@@michaelcarter3127no sorry cards hq is nothing like walmart. Walmart don't sell singles and slabs. Huge difference between the 2. That is crazy you even used walmart as a comparison to cards hq. Yes 99% of cards stores you can get bulk deals and stuff.
I'm not a big fan of the guy,but he got those cards for 4.50 each... And I beat you on what not he'll get anywhere from $5 to $20.00... not to mention the cards he's gonna pick out to get graded... I think he's gonna make a few dollars...
He's doing this to show kids how to find some value in the hobby! The steps they can take to work up to the bigger cards they want.

Tons of fun as always. Like you said “trip down memory lane!!”
Great pickups!
Great job from Texas. Wish we would have run into you at the show. Good times!

Have you ever been to a card show? Genuinely? Deals like $8 for 10 cards in a dollar bin are some of the most common in card show history.
The merchant can always say "No". Whether rich or poor, there's nothing wrong with bartering.

They still haven't caught those thieves, wasn't that in Dallas? That James, Kobe, Jordan auto is nice.
Did you find any Desmond Ridder or Lonzo Ball rookie cards in the $1 bin?
I bet they were in there!
They are dollar cards but when you run them on whatnot it's not a dollar anymore because of shipping
Awesome! I love your videos!
Like you need to do this 😂
I get it, it's nostalgia and fun digging through that era and seeing those players.
He has like the biggest or second biggest shop in the world now so now he does
hey all.
What’s up man

Dude can you leave the dollar boxes for us non-millionaires?
Fr
He like it cause it's "FUN 🤓" he like " FUN STUFF🤓"... Being sarcastic by the way
He is a content creator . 🙄
Love the edits on recent vids 🤣
Have you never seen a basketball card from the 90s? Those are all dollar cards. Your lack of knowledge in the hobby is astounding.
Geoff, did you make good deals?
Do customers at Cards HQ take a stack of 20 $5 cards and offer say, 80 bucks? And is that considered and or accepted?
Retail store vs card show. Do you do that at Walmart?

Hi
Whwn you sell cards like this do you pay Tax on it? And if you do how do you do it?
If u want to find some gems for cheap u don’t go to a card show I ain’t gonna but u can figure it out
Cooks to 99!!
I wonder how many people will get that reference 😂😂😂
I’m a Steve McNair collector so I’m glad to see McNair got some card love in this video 🙌🏼
Geoff starts looking through value boxes and shows how he has no idea what is/isn’t a good deal. He only really knows modern high end cards…
If we all had the money for it, who wouldn’t be into high end

@@PedroSimoes-sp7ln 100% correct. I thought he was spot on with how he was selecting and should do well 😁
After you build your sports card empire and create a game changing app, I can’t wait to see what dollar bin finds you snag in your video!!
Yall should come to the maize card show in ks Dec 14!
I’d feel so cringe if I was the camera guy
I think that's just you and your insecurities speaking 😁
@ probably
Great video, awesome cards and amazing idea!
He got sick of the $1 cards and bought $5 cards @ mkt value because he was blinded by the shine. I was going to like the video, but not much baseball.

Boo! These videos suck. Make CardsHQ its own channel….
Nah, the only thing that sucks is you after a few drinks 🤣
I wish you would talk to the camera like you are talking to an adult. It seems you're talking as if we're stupid children
If the shoe fits 🤣
