I LOVE how honest this performance is…he takes a breath, he talks with his musicians, talks with the audience, sings twice, forgets the words. Just so amazing…

There will never, ever be another one like him. Such a talented singer and actor, philanthropist, loving, generous, funny, kind, handsome and charismatic man. And he was always the first to laugh and poor fun at himself! I had the unbelievable good fortune to see him perform in concert, and even from the nose-bleed seats, he was mesmerizing! He once said.he figured he'd be long forgotten after just a few short years of performing-- not one little bit, Elvis -- you will ALWAYS be remembered!

He was so messed up. The love for his friends and family, the fear of letting everyone down turned a living legend into a dead legend.

I just saw the movie Sunday. It was really very good. How do you take a life like his and be able to do justice to it in 2 hours? I am of the age that I have had him in my life since he was on Ed Sullivan early 1960's. This actor really did a great job on his movements, mannerisms, and emotions. He was an excellent Elvis!! (So darn cute) I did see things that I am thinking it didn't happen quite like that but it was good enough it didn't matter.

I wish his twin would have lived. Imagine all the fun they would have had, the pranks they would have pulled and I am pretty sure they would have switched roles from time to time as well. Elvis would have been so happy and would have never felt lonely with his twin. They would have been unstoppable and inseparable.

I appreciate many kinds of good music, I also know all the songs of Johnny Cash and June Carter (Great) and other great artists. However, Elvis remains the greatest musician and entertainer of all time, but in all his songs, all the power of his soul comes out. One could also say that he gave his whole heart to his listeners. This way is definitely unique and I think it will remain so. Denis Herger

My sort of take on Elvis's vocals is. From what i've viewed of him live on youtube. He was always loose when he needed to be and tight when he needed to be.
(Rather like the best jazz musicians)
His judgement i've found to be impeccable!

What an amazing and talented human being. It's crazy to think it was recorded 56 years ago. It still sounds so current and its image, despite having the look of the 68, is so modern that it looks perfectly contemporary. Elvis has invented the society we are still living in, without him our world wouldn't be the same. In good and bad he invented the modern world's society
