Why would you put a skim coat of polyester on the bare metal frame? I think this is sending the wrong message. Also the sand blasted surface still shows some rust on the bare metal, that might be due to the fact that this process requires very high volume of air/ sand blasting.
Very interested in your Eastwood products. While I will be sanding frame by hand also frame has no rust.with that said I won’t be sand blasting or fillers.Would the primer work or ?Thanks.
Two points; One forum user I read who has used it (I have not) suggests that it IS super hard, but this makes it easily chipped. The other is This system is 3 to 4 times the price of Industrial / Automotive Polyurethane 2K paint from local paint factors. Why is it so much more expensive I wonder and can it possibly be worth it??
Would the chassis black be a good choice to use on the rocker/lower perimeter or bumpers? Or does it have issues with holding up to UV? Perhaps it could be applied under a clear coat?
Chassis Black has UV Resistance so if you want to apply it on the outside of your vehicle you can. www.eastwood.com/eastwood-original-chassis-black-satin-gloss-paint.html
@@eastwoodco thank you! Can this be applied under a clear coat as well? I’m considering the coastal blue color you offer paired with this chassis black.
No doubt they used the polyester filler to smooth the pit marks from the rust...to make their product look good. Now Nano ceramic paint technology, is basically a fancy name for adding ceramic.very hard.. to paint to make the finish more scratch resistant.. But any fool knows ..hard = easier chipped..and one other thing when would a chassis rail ever get exposed to UV rays.. if you want a chassis rail to stay like new and rust free, you want to be using a soft self healing wax based coating..
What is a ceramic paint? Do you have fine particles of fired porcelain clay (kaolin granules) in the paint to make it a hard paint? Unfired clay would need to be baked in a kiln too hot for paint. Please explain this paint better. I am left unclear. When you understand products well, you can make better decisions about usage.

Love it. I wonder though, if I galvanize my chassis (unibody) can I use this product afterward?
Clean white bare metal surface? Looks gray to me. I might need to have my eyes checked out before I use this stuff :).

How do you determine if you will have a gloss or satin finish?? All I can find is black epoxy to order.
Dose the paint prevent BRINE damage?
