Mercedes-Benz Actros 4 Vs Actros 5 Fuel Challenger - MP4 MP5 with MirrorCam Fuel Saving

In this video we tested the new Mercedes-Benz Actros 5 with the latest version of PPC (Predictive Powertrain Control) and MirrorCam in a Fuel Challenger against the efficient Actros 4 using the most current version of PPC. Both vehicles were 2545 LS StreamSpace Cabs, fully fuelled with a GVW of 36t. Our Truck Trainers were measured on driving style to ensure the test was as fair as could be and the vehicles ran within 2 minutes of each other - no slip streaming allowed.

I’ve got the new actros the gearbox is still slower than frank Spencer good on fuel and good to live in but the beds ain’t as good as a daf put a proper mattress in Mercedes

Hahaha.. what a joke... people who work behind the besk trying to say drivers how to save fuel...and what about if your nignt transport manager who is working on salary and does not care about fuel economy call you and tell you YOU NEED TO DELIVER THIS LOAD BY SUCH AND SUCH TIME. Do you think in this situation actros 5,6 or 7 will save fuel agains actros 1,2 or 3 driven by someone who realy care about fuel economy?
