I like this story. I think this sort of thing happens a lot more than people realize. I've heard other accounts of people missing this or that catastrophe...by being too early or too late.

My aunt is a retired flight attendant & twice in her life she changed flights at the last minute for random causes (ran into friend attendants & the other time she switched a schedule for an event later) & both planes crashed.

Ooh I just realized I'm the first to comment! I mostly catch stories that are a year or more old!
Well I loved this tale! It covers several areas of interest for me..not just the supernatural, but that area of the country which I'm familiar with, and train travel, which I used to love( until it all went downhill, and don't get me started on Avanti. ) and that stretch of the West Coast Mainline I have travelled so often, always with excitement for my destination ..
I believe it! How about a collection of train Ghost stories? Maybe there's not enough..maybe include coach and horses...! The Signalman one of my all time faves...

@@sleepy-folklore Brilliant! So..my personal reading time is limited to a snatched half hour here and there, and bedtime. Bedtime not ideal for ghost stories..which is why I LOVE to listen to you while I work, during bright daylight hours..before the dark shadows... 😱 So how about you get hold of that volume of train ghost stories..I bet I'm not the only one who'd love em! 😄🙏

Very interesting. Thank you for sharing. I am reminded, I once heard, not sure if it's true, statistically, there is an unusually high number of people who miss their flights that later crash. I think I remember it because I have a cousin who missed a flight in D.C. that later crashed.

As you heard in the comments, I am a big believer i these because I had one. One thing I forgot to say was that she believes it’s her fiancé who warns her but of course he has no knowledge of doing it.
