Im on a very tight budget and I was able to find the drift roses on sale at home depot. They're a little beat up so I probably won't get a show until next year but your video is making the wait worth it. Thank you for the video and I hope my garden is as half as beautiful as yours one day.

ok, between this video and your video on garden decor I was inspired by the drift roses and have ordered the Apricot ones for by back yard 🥰 I had to order them online from Home Depot because no one seems to carry them so 🤞🏼 . So happy I found your channel and I wanted to tell you I love your flute playing! I paint and when I am in my studio in the morning I listen to reiki music which includes a lot of the native flute… it is so beautiful!

Thank you!!! So glad you picked up a drift rose, they are so cute! I hope it does great for you 🌹 Glad you like the flute as well :) I love hiking and playing the flute outside. It is so inspiring! Love the desert.

Hi thanks, I am subscribing. I am starting a "front yard" rose area in my New Mexico home, and was looking on YT for people with experience growing roses in desert-like environments. I guess Phoenix Arizona is adequate. I am thinking of having a green mulch type plant under the roses. Maybe you might make a video on what kind of mulch to put under roses in hot environments? At present, I am just going to plant some miniature clover as a green mulch. I enjoyed seeing the comparison between the drift roses and the carpet rose. I will be looking for them. (My roses are just "local Lowes and Tractor Supply type roses-- I'm not into big name nurseries, but they are all mostly orange and yellow. I would like to do all the colors, but I am not sure how to work out a color scheme. I like the "big flow" idea, with multiple plants of one color or type in each area. Sorry for so many questions! Thanks!!!

Great! I hope the garden turns out amazing :) I actually just use Gromulch (which you can get at Lowes) and I have a video or two showing how/when I apply it. I don't have any ground cover plants perse -- just the roses and the mulch. I do have some lavender and rosemary nearby. th-cam.com/video/vgcP2UiQlbw/w-d-xo.html
I would recommend checking out an online supplier like Heirloom Roses or David Austin. They have EVERYTHING (too many, haha). It is a bit of work because I would suggest looking at pictures of people who actually have and grow the rose to make sure it looks the way you want instead of relying on the website photos, but they have TONS to choose from. th-cam.com/video/exxK771ubpE/w-d-xo.html
You can also order the drift roses from the Lowes website and have it delivered, Linda did this and I filmed her adventures with planting drift roses in pots as well as follow ups you can check out on my channel as well. th-cam.com/video/b53VWtsh5JU/w-d-xo.html
In my yard I actually tried to plant very contrasting colors and heights next to one another to make them pop and i really like it. I have several 'walk through' and 'spring blooms' videos you can check out on my channel and see if you like it as well. I actually was going to do similar colors together in my front yard -- but that is a future project , and a future me problem. 😜🌹😊🌹 th-cam.com/video/AB2fhLVXPnw/w-d-xo.html
