Neil Miller was delightful! I enjoyed listening to his tips. You can tell he loves his work there at the castle. Thank you for "taking us along" on the tour!
Excellent questions, really direct and helpful answers. Interviews that raise more questions than answers have their place, but there's a nice calm feeling from this style that I appreciated today. Thank you. Plus a little bit of history to keep things memorable as a bonus!
This is one of my favourite garden channels. So informative, and I love your personality, Alexandra! And this episode's guest Neil Miller is is just amazing. His enthusiasm and passion is so infectious ( I am going to buy so many roses tomorrow:)) and even the casual "Hi there" at the beginning is just adorable.
Wonderful, informative video! Thank you Alexandra, for taking us along for this tour! I love how animated Mr. Miller is while speaking of roses. He is just delightful and so knowledgeable! The gardens and grounds there are stunning! 💚♥️🌹
Neil Miller is fantastic in telling this rose story! I enjoyed it immensely! Thank you! That rare case when I didn't feel like looking at the roses while listening to the tips. He was the star!
How refreshing......direct answers to pertinent questions. Everything one could want in an inspiring vid. This is why I like the Middle sized Garden channel. Just ....Thank you.
Roses can be a joy to behold, In recent years have a purchased number of new roses which are more disease resistent. Florabunda 'Lovestruck' roses which flower from May until Sept, 'Scent of Heaven' which is a lovely climbing rose. I've made many mistakes ranging from not pruning my florabunba in March ...as a result I had to carry a builders bag around with me whilst deadheading! I've recently removed one of my old roses which only flowered for a short time and didn't have any scent.... as you've mentioned before plants need to earn their keep else one needs to be ruthless. Planning to make some more purchases as bareroots later in the year and move my climber which is currently located at the back of my border.... always put scented flowers in locations where they can be appreciated people. Keep up the good work, i do love the efforts you go to interview the experts
Thanks Ms. Alexandra for another jam-packed episode of valuable information. Mr. Miller was very entertaining to watch...you can tell he is passionate about his work.
Without a doubt one of my favourite and most informative TH-cam videos. I've loved listening to him! Knowledgeable and passionate. Absolutely brilliant thank you!!
From start till end, this vibrant and energetic gentleman had me keep my eyes and ears on him, and with no effort! ...And he did it despite standing in front of a beautiful, rather stunning background!! He knows his stuff and is passionate about it!!!
What a fun and knowledgeable rose expert! Love his enthusiasm and what an incredible garden! Thank you for sharing this particular garden and this particular rosarian.
What a delightful video. 🌹 I talk to my rose bushes… I must say, my roses are elegant and are the talk of the neighborhood. Thank you for all your wonderful advice! 🌹
Thanks for filming this. I'm just getting into rose growing, and I learnt a huge amount from this video. I have planted an old -fashioned rose called Royal Jubilee - a lovely dusty pink with peony type flowers. It's raining heavily as I type this - which is why I'm inside watching TH-cam gardening videos. If the buds rot on this beautiful rose, at least I'll understand why!
This is your heaven on earth series of beautiful garden... Wonderful host.... Amazing gardens... Mind blowing ideas... Colourful gardens... What else you want... Just keep watching these
That’s what I did - go to the garden center and pick up what appealed to me, did not even think how to care for them. Thanks you for this interview, beautiful, I learned a lot. ( Amazing love for the garden isn’t it? That would motivate one to spend $110 million...)
This video is so dang exciting to watch over and over! Got me so enthused I want to go buy a big box store out of rose bushes. Great tip about pots. Can't thank you enough for sharing.
I have a passion for roses. If I get a bouquet with roses in it I take a pencil length cutting and use rooting powder and pot up. Also I take cuttings of all of my roses, always think I will remember which rose it is. I always forget. Our house is referred to as the flower house, some of the flowers are were too.
Excellent video. Your questions were so on point and the head gardener very knowledgable. I am going to be planting some florabunda standard ice bergs tomorow using these tips. Big thumbs up from New Zealand.
Best guide on How-to grow roses and properly take care of them. Thank you for sharing valuable information with us. Your talk calmed my inhibitions to give it a try. I know I will be visiting your channel several time as reference guide. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Just watched Roots and Refuge before this, she had a garden tour, mostly veg, she showed her Olivia Rose Austin and said how much she loves it. This was so informative, as always.
What beautiful roses. We have a rose in our front garden, it was here when we moved in a year ago and so far all I've done is dead head it and our neighbours said it's never flowered so well. I recently underplanted it with some small salvia as I heard it can help with the blackspot, so we shall see. I imagine the poor thing hasn't been fed since it was planted however many years ago, so I will do that too! It's a bit misshapen as it's not been pruned well, but it's still producing lovely blooms. I was going to get rid of it when we moved in, but ended up leaving it for the flowering season and am glad I kept it, so that is good advice about leaving it to see what it does for a bit!
What a lovely and knowledgeable gentleman! Thank you for sharing your tips and expertise. Novice here muddling along as best I can and this is really helpful :-)
This gentleman I’d love to invite him to dinner and just talk roses. His enthusiasm and knowledge infectious !!
I'd love to have a lengthy lunch with Alexandra!
This guy's the real deal. Super knowledgeable and loves what he does. If you don't like roses after listening to him somethings wrong.
Those were great questions! He was a walking rose encyclopedia!
Thank you both!
Neil Miller was delightful! I enjoyed listening to his tips. You can tell he loves his work there at the castle. Thank you for "taking us along" on the tour!
It's a pleasure, I enjoyed it so much too.
Jim Skipper I wanted to take him to the local pub and keep asking questions!
You can tell that he is a really nice person.
Neil is a character! I was belly laughing when he said the rose wasn’t blooming because you haven’t been talking to it…😂
Excellent questions, really direct and helpful answers. Interviews that raise more questions than answers have their place, but there's a nice calm feeling from this style that I appreciated today. Thank you. Plus a little bit of history to keep things memorable as a bonus!
Thank you!
