Most people interested in the Wii also enjoyed the basic nature of it's motion controlled games, and the crazy cheap price. I think that's why the Wii U flopped. People didn't feel the portable screen controller thing was suitable for a family bowling night. And the higher cost made it less of an impulse buy (I know I bought a Wii on a whim one Christmas just for something fun to do on Christmas day... Very out of character for me).

My wife loves the typing as well, personally, for me the finger tapping and keyboard use isn't for me! Especially the finger tapping on packages etc I just can't.

But Hey that's a cool red wii mote you have I totally forgot they made that, has to be a limited edition wii right? haha
Unpopular opinion: the Wii U Pro Controller is one of, if not the greatest, most comfortable controller of all time! I bought an adapter so I can use it on my Switch because I can't imagine playing Nintendo games with a different controller any more lol.
I like the Wii but i wasn't a fan of the nunchuck controls. Im glad that there were games where you could turn the controller sideways to use it like the nes or snes controller.

If it was me id buy the wii u over the wii. Because you get backwards compatibility and are able to play both. So buying the wii these days is useless. When the wiiu can play all wii games.
