    Hello there. When did you finish your summit? How many days it took and what was the most difficult part in the trek? What do you advice for people who are planning for EBC? What all things you packed and which you didn’t use?

      Hello! I finished it on 19th Nov (9th to 19th from Lukla and back). Including your stay in Kathmandu it takes 13 days in standard itinerary. There are couple of places where the hike takes time and you need to go slow, these hikes are usually after lunch break so light lunch is recommended. I had three layers of clothes, Merino wool base layer, Uniqlo fleece middle layer and a Down on top when needed, so I could beat the Nov cold easily. Some of the important things to pack are three sets of base layer clothes, fleece as middle layer, down jacket, sleeping bag, toiletries including sunscreen, moisturiser & lip balm with SPF, disposable toilet seat paper, some basic medicines though I did not need to use except for mild headache. One thing I did not need to use at all was mosquito repellant gel. Hope this helps.

      there are two insurance TPAs in India offering adventure sports cover for trekking to EBC, Asego from Pune asego.in/travel-insurance and ASC 360 from Delhi asc360.com/
      Both are good and takes care of emergency evacuation, ASC360 is slightly higher at around 8K, Asego is around 5k. Asego evacuates to Kathmandu whereas ASC360 evacuates to Lukla, however clinic expenses if any are cashless only for ASC360 and so is flight delays.

      Superb visibility, moderately cold for 80% of the trip, was subzero beyond Lobuche but thats always the case. Nov might be the best time, sky free of clouds and tolerable cold.

    Hi sir,
    How did you manage to keep battery in your phone while recording? Did you carry power banks? I heard we have pay for charging.
    If so how much was your phone charging expense for your trip?

    • @samratchatterjee5351
      @samratchatterjee5351  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, yes I carried power bank, thankfully the rooms in some of the places had free charging ports where I charges both my mobile and power bank. Had to pay in Lobuche and Gorakshep they charge insanely anywhere between 300-500 NPR if I remember well. More importantly to avoid draining of charge faster keep the phone and power bank warm like inside sleeping bag or inside jacket. Hope that helps.
