Trekking Nepal and Mt. Everest always fascinate me...your new subscriber out here far east from the Philippines. Thank you I felt like I'm with you in your journey in Nepal and Mt. Everest....take care as always.❤from the 🇵🇭...
I can't remember seeing this ! 😅 You looked kind of sad throughout! The best part of the trek for me was when your guide sang for you ❤ He is one of the best guides if you get to know him better I would want him to sing that song for me 2 a day! He is a love bug 🥰
Hey guys, I was there last July to celebrate my 60th birthday at Basecamp. Your video brought back memories, it’s just so damnd beautiful up there. Somehow I think everybody’s contemplating to return to Basecamp after such an incredible experience but reality might be a different one. still, we keep those fantasies alive.
@@WestonsWanderings you will get a bit of rain both in April as well as October..November end or the the first two weeks of December offers great views(no clouds, crystal clear views)...it's drier but colder during this time
@@dawnchamling5710 I will go early October this year. I think your saying is correct according to my research. There is tradeoff : cold weather for dry and clear view.
What a great video. I appreciate you being professional and calm. Instead of making a video about yourself you made it about the environment and the landscape and that's really great. Most people don't do that. Well done bro. 14479 ft incredible.
i like the song BTW, resham feririri, rehsam firiri, #sometime trekking sometime resting .. " that's very creative. i like your guide who is trying to make your journey interesting by all means. hats off to the man. I am watching from Finland. Cheers.
Nice video. I've watched so many of these base camp trek videos I think I could navigate it without a guide. I just got a few health issues from me ever doing anything like that.
Great video! I’m heading out to Nepal, in October. Trying to make up my mind as to whether I want to trek out to EBC or get out to the Upper Mustang Valley. I know I’ll definitely want to come back and see what I wasn’t able to, on the first trip. How much was your guide to EBC?
That sounds like an exciting adventure! Choosing between the Everest Base Camp (EBC) trek and the Upper Mustang Valley can be tough, as both offer unique experiences in Nepal. The cost of a guide for EBC averages around $25 to $30 USD. The Upper Mustang Valley trek has a similar price range but the permit for 10 days is $500. Consider your preferences for scenery and cultural exploration when deciding. Enjoy your trip and happy trekking!
Appreciate it! I think our guide was about $1,000 each but I know it can go up in the busy season. We used Alpine Ramble Treks and had a great experience!
What Camera gear did you use? The video quality seems pretty crisp and sharp watching on 75” screen. I visited Nepal in 1996. It’s a wonderful place. Nice video.
Since I'm going to do the EBC trek in October this year, I was really relieved to see how some fellow Coloradoans handled the altitude. You guys didn't seem to experience any altitude sickness or related problems. I've been to the top of eleven 14ers and other than mild headaches, I don't have a problem with it. If you did have some issues, let me know. Thanks!
Nice! Typically my first sign of altitude sickness is lack of appetite which I did start to have around 16k-17k'. So I did start to feel the altitude but it wasn't bad outside of just the thin air! It's noticeably different from 14k'.
Thanks for sharing much appreciated... Do you think July would be better or August for more sunshine and clearer.... I'm looking to travel to Nepal soon...
Both July and August are viable for your Nepal trip. July is monsoon season with rain and clouds, while August marks a transition to clearer skies. If you seek sunnier days, August could be a bit better. Pack for rain and enjoy lush landscapes. Welcome to Nepal.
I do not understand why people choose to go up via Tengboche when there is a much more impressive high trail on the opposite side of the valley going via Phortse. Tengboche can be visited on the way down.
@@WestonsWanderings Map is your friend, a paper map, that is. Not just following everybody else. Guides are lazy, afraid of innovation and want the easiest standard solutions and are not really interested in showing the best and most impressive routes. Next time!
Great video - I'm so excited and anticipating my trip next March - can I ask what you used to film/video as the quality of yours is excellent? I'm looking to get something to film my trek
Hi Guys! Nice video. I am considering going within the next 2 years. Could use your recommendations on equipment, and details on how to get to Nepal and on guide services. Especially want your thoughts on what time of year to go. I am retired so, pretty flexible timetable; just need to train to hike that much!!! Thanks!
Planning a Nepal trip in the next two years and seeking your gear recommendations, travel tips, and thoughts on the best time to go. With a flexible schedule due to retirement, I'm ready to train and hike. Exciting times ahead - thanks!
Fortunately, we only received about 5 mins of rain while hiking the whole time we were there. It did rain quite a bit at night while we were sleeping. More than anything, it was cloudy and overcast but lucked out with a couple days of great weather.
Yeah it's monsoon now. I live in India and it's raining a lot. The mountains near me in North Bengal and Sikkim are off limits due to landslides, don't know about Nepal though but I suspect it's risky there too
Although I should mention monsoon is my absolute favourite time of the year. The beauty and abundance in nature knows no limits at this time, everything is lush green and bursting with life at lower altitudes ♥️ And it's a huge respite from the heat! :)
