Explained: Why Indian government is pushing for NaVIC

NaVIC -- Navigation with Indian Constellation -- is India’s own satellite navigation system and it has been in operation since 2018. Recently, the Centre has asked mobile phone manufacturers to ensure all phones in India NaVIC-compatible. What made the Indian government to make bring in its own navigation system?

US refused to share GPS images wth our Govt. in Kargil conflict, so is the birth of NaVIC. Japan, Russia, China & EU have it. We need it. Don't waste your 7 min to watch this video..
