Really like smaller scaled systems, a lot easier to get that massed combat feel.
Would love to see you do a how to play video of this system with those Romans.

Yeah me too, the more games I play the more I prefer scales 15mm and smaller.
Yeah a play through would be a nice vid I need to fully learn the rules first tho haha... This game was our second game of MeG and we still made some big mistakes but learning as we go :)

Looks like it was a fun game. I would have liked a little explanation as to what the tokens meant (as I dont play MEG .. for now) but maybe I missed that in a different video

Yeah not done any rule run throughs. The tokens are what you use to command your army and the colours indicate the level of things you can do. Red being the best and black meaning you can do bugger all.

@@JonnyWatsonGaming many thanks, just maybe in the first turn just go over what you pulled and your plans with that? Only my thoughts.

Interesting to watch you play it through - nice to see you get to play the game after following your painting of the Romans. It looked a good game.
I think re your generals getting killed/shot at my (newbie) understanding is that apart from your floating army commander all generals need to be with a unit group - also my understanding is they are more markers for the location of a general rather than another unit group that can be either charged or shot at (if contacted by enemy ugs they get a free move out the way) - the only times I think they can be killed are by KaB tests on generals (Pg 92 - 93 of the rules ) - if they are either with a ug that breaks or if they choose to be in the front rank of a ug in combat that suffers a wound.
Unsure if that would have helped the Romans this time but looked fun nonetheless

Jamie. Thanks for this. I was a little unsure the Generals can be targeted and killed in combat unless with an UG. Like yourself iv very much a newbie at this game but as we play more and with help from you guys im sure we will improve our understanding of the rules. Thank you for the feedback.

@@JonnyWatsonGaming You cannot target and kill a general in MEG . You test a KAB only if he is in combat and the file looses a base or if the TUG he is in breaks . Lone generals never fight but just move away towards the nearest UG

Generals are basically markers that can be put into combat but they don't constitute separate units.
