    Insomniac are my favorite developer. Everytime they release a new game you know its going to be good. Plus they release one every year so you know theres going to be atleast one fantastic game in the year.

    @Permafry42 Though the modders do add a lot to the PC scene. User-generated content adds quite a lot to the experiences in games and it really sets the PC apart from the console, but note that this applies to mods and content only. Not full games, which is what I was setting my focus on.

    insomniac are definitely my favourite developer. Great games with little or no bugs and they are always fun games free of cheap gimmicks and lame dlc.

    i think then it comes down to what games/art you prefer. Me personally even though i like both kinds i prefer the unprofessional "4chan" type games that are less about trying to have a narrative ("hollywood" type) and more games that make full use of the interact and play-nature of gaming. Sure games like shadow of the colossus are amazing experiences, but they don't feel like games as much as the mods and flash games do most of the time.

  • @xZak777x
    @xZak777x 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @Permafry42 I can see your point with that. It does boil down to opinion overall. And yeah, I've had my fair share of flash-games under my belt on a few dull days.
    PS. Rules 1 + 2 ;P.

    @Permafry42 I kind of agree with him. I can't really think of any PC games that were really "good", to the point of it becoming a classic. Starcraft and WoW are more addictive than just a memorable experience. It could just because a lot of developers focused more on the console side of things, but the end result is still there. Examples: Ocarina of Time (Console), Mario (Console), Shadow of the Colossus (Console). I find it hard to think of ONE PC game personally.

    @scorpgul not to bag on insomniac because i've loved them ever since i was a kid but infamous had a few bugs. It was hard not to run into one

    Why does think Resistance 2 was dissapointing? I thinks its one of the best in the series, sure the weapon wheel wasen't there, but everything else of the game just improved.Graphics were much more improved and had more vibrant colors, story had more action and characters...;Nathan Hale grew out to a more likeable character....the setpieces and back drops were breathtaking and more unique than anything else available on consoles, this game was awsome and polished as hell.This gam isa masterpiece

  • @Permafry42108
    @Permafry42108 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    love insomniac, buti disagree with him on consoles being a better representation of the art of video games than pc. IMO both pc and and consoles have amazing games that are pieces of art.

  • @Permafry42108
    @Permafry42108 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @xZak777x
    that's probably just cause you don't have much experience with PC. Indie and multiplatform developers and more importantly the user generated content for their games is what makes the PC shine. For example the thousands of flash games, the thousands of mods for gaming classics like valve games, the independent games like Cloud (made by the makers of flow and flower), and yes the MMOs like Wow (no more addicting than LoZ is). Plus PC is just 1 platform; there's hundreds of "consoles".

    @scorpgul Bethesda and Bioware make such big games that its inevitable that there will be bugs, dont be unfair on them

  • @bobmarleyluke
    @bobmarleyluke 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @scorpgul Not really... they are high budget companies because games so big cost more to create... Insomniac also has a high budget... I agree that at times Fallout New Vegas was rediculously bad.. and theres no excuse for how bad it was... fallout 3 wasnt bad, but they do patch up their games quite a lot... and obviously in games so big its hard to catch every glitch before release... and we dont really want the games delayed to patch minor glitches

    • @aleksandrbear6095
      @aleksandrbear6095 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wow….I didn’t know that fallout New Vegas was seen in a negative light back then….I have to wonder 11 years later, do you still have that same opinion for Fallout New Vegas?
      Also have your thoughts changed in any way on the video game industry?

    @scorpgul I dont really think there is any such thing as a 'bugfree' game, theres always going to be something... but tbf... I dont agree with what you said at all... mainly because of the types of games they make... insomniac have their platformers and fps... but because Bioware and Bethesda have their much more open RPG's... now thats a lot harder to debug just because of the size and the amount of different things you can do which is hard to test. Your last statement was just unfair tbh

  • @xZak777x
    @xZak777x 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @Permafry42 "you don't have much experience with PC." Au contraire. I've been gaming on the PC far longer than I have the console. I've played all of the Flash games and all of the Indie games. I practically grew up on Diablo and Starcraft (Diablo! There we go, that's one.). But they're more just blind fun than anything. Current PC games focus too much on the graphics, a lot of the fun factor dissipates. This is just opinion, but I do see Ted Price's point and where he gets it.

    lol no they dont......Bioware are better than Insomniac with no question, the majority of their games win multiple awards and they have been consistant through the last few years with what games are being produced and how they are produced, a perfect example the Mass Effect franchise, ME2 has won GOTY over many other successful company franchises, the one thing that goes with Biowares work is very good story development too
