It’s honestly the curse of most talented soul type singers. Singing to well isn’t a good thing in the industry nowadays especially if your brown-dark skin black. You’re just not gonna have a push. Gotta have a certain look & have a ambiguous poppy voice. Jen is absolutely talented & gorgeous. One of the best singers out there. So yea it’s definitely unfortunate her actual singing career didn’t go far but she’s still a star and her successes in film & other areas in her life need to be acknowledged & uplifted as well. She’s still well known & a black household name.
