Just LOVE CanCoat, always keep it around as it's so very useful in a variety of situations.
Wanna give the 'coating lifestyle' a try before going all-in with a full-blown coating? CanCoat it. Current coating not up to par? CanCoat it. I've used it on top of countless coatings that have lost their pop and it always brings back that 'just coated' look, feel and performance.
Neighbors keep asking "Gonna do my car next?" Throw 'em some Bathe, Prep, some towels and the CanCoat, 5 minutes of explanation and you'll have peace and quiet for the rest of the Summer.
Paint, plastic trim, headlights, taillights...works on everything. Really good for easily keeping doorjambs nice too. Great, great product that's quick and easy to use, great gloss, excellent water behavior.
Standalone use is equally as exceptional, a light polish with Gyeon Primer before adds even more to the the CanCoat experience.
Also works nicely on stainless steel clad kitchen appliances!
    A definite winner...
Great color on that Honda too; love me a good, rich blue.

@@jpr96 Daily driver that I was gonna beat the snot out of and maybe not wash as often as I should, CanCoat every 3 or 4 months.
A car that was gonna see a bit more care and a little less abuse, Polish Angel combo.

“Six months-yearly stay in touch with the car, spot polish some stuff without being upset that you have buzzed through your multi layer big expensive coating, and it’s a car , it’s gonna live in the world”
These words is the truth for me and that’s the reason until now i like good sealants and products like Sonax Polymer NetShield instead of long lasting ceramics !

I love this stuff. Have been using it for a few years now. It's the best blend of ease of application and durability in the whole line. I use it every 6 months with an application of WetCoat once a month.
Warning: Listen to what he says about not spraying it into the applicator cloth too close to the car. I made that mistake the first time and overspray caused some headaches that required a light polish to correct, followed by a reapplication of CanCoat.

Great video. After suffering overspray I now feel more confindent using Cancoat after watching....so many thanks for this 😊 It's now clear to me the mistake I was making was I was using way too much product, think I had run out after 3 applictions. I was holding the sprayer much further away from the towel and the wind must have been carrying the product over to panels I had already done. The overspray is still there but seeing at I have just bought a Rupes LHR15 and LHR75 I can now do a 1 step with Sonax PF and hopefully get that removed. Shame this will remove my 30 month old MOHS Plus but I will use Cancoat as instructed and maybe apply a more durable coating come summer. Interesting about the short pile microfibre, think I used Gyeon Softwipe towels last time....love those things. Thanks again 😊👍

I used CanCoat on my car 2 years ago. Great easy to apply product. However, after considering how much effort to prep the car - wash, clay, compound, polish, IPA, then apply - I thought why didn't a I just ceramic coat or graphene coat (now available) the car. The shine doesn't come from the CanCoat it comes with the prep work before you apply. Coatings including CanCoat just locks in your work. Just my 2 cents, if you spent 80% prepping your car, do you really want to lock it in for 6+ months, when you can lock it in for 1-2 yrs? Plus with newer products like CQuartz UK 3.0, the setup time is more forgiving (better tolerance when applying in cooler or warmer weather). Sure, you can't go as fast as the guy demo'd CanCoat but you really have to leave CQuartz on for a VERY long time to screw it up. Plus with discounts, true ceramic coating pricing is equal or slightly ($10) to the price of CanCoat. Just something to consider from someone that has used CanCoat and a true ceramic coat. I wish graphene coatings were around when I coated my car. All the benefits of ceramic coating + supposedly more resistance to water spotting and bird droppings. Have fun with CanCoat, true ceramic coats and graphene coatings - very cool products out these days!

Most people using CanCoat aren't polishing beforehand. This is a quicker way to provide some durable protection.

    • @nasdoc1
      @nasdoc1 3 ปีที่แล้ว

What you said makes sense. 90%of our work goes into prepping the car. Why not just go for a consumer grade ceramic coating that will give protection for 2+ years if maintained. It might take a few hours more but if it's a once in 2 years procedure, just take a day off from work and apply a proper ceramic coat.
      Well said. Point taken.

It looks *amazing but I want to add another coat of cancoat myself for extra durability and because I enjoy detailing

It's all about the maintenance. If you're looking for a product to apply to the surface for the "set it and forget it" mindset, you will be disappointed in any product you choose. Use and maintain this, or the more traditional coatings, and your paint will stay looking good for much longer times. The more extreme the weather (hot or cold), the more you need to keep after it.
