Guitar player here. Had a bad finger injury that needs surgery. It's been driving me insane not playing. So, I'm gonna be with you for a while. I hope ❤ ☮️
After breaking my left arm, and unable to play my guitar for a while, I still needed music in my life. I came across your lessons by chance and must say, thank you, your a dedicated teacher. A new chapter begins :)
I got a harmonica today for easter and im so happy about it because im a huge fan of western music :D I instantly subscribed to your channel because you teach very beginner friendly and its relatively easy to follow, i hope i get good at this and i wish all the best to everybody who reads this and is also practising
Happy Easter, good decision...practice is the key,so stick at it ,you will get better over time...choose what you enjoy and then enjoy working it out! Once you can master just one lick you're laughing, the rest will follow. Just go for it !👍
I played for about 7 months solid when I started. I felt I was a quick learner with it. Stopped for about a year. Now I'm back at it. Your videos helped me in the beginning, now they are getting me up to speed again
Nice. I carry my harmonica everywhere and I'm always playing, willing to put it to music. I started about 6 months ago. Many times when I know a solo, I kick in with my harmonica. I'm having fun.
i used to play harmonica when i was twelve years old, now i am starting again in the age of 54 because of this absolutely excellent channel. you are doing such a great job as a harmonica teacher! all thumbs up! (i wish i had more than two!🙏😅) Greetings from germany.
Aw, Thank you for your kind words. I really appreciate it! So glad that you're getting back into the harmonica, and I hope you never quit again! Aloha from Hawaii.
Been playing harmonica for about 2 months and just found you're videos wish I had found them at the start would have made it so much easier love your work brother
I've always wanted to play the harmonica, and even started by myself, but always felt I wasn't getting any better. Your lessons really made a difference, and I can't thank you enough for it. Best wishes from Brazil!
These are fun simple groves/riffs that any beginner can "master" and then have a blast playing for friends and in the right situation play along with TH-cam and recordings. Kind of jump start the fun of playing. Great video.
Thank you Luke. I’ve been learning to play since 2017. I mostly play for myself and children. I buy harmonicas and give them to interested children, teaching about four of them what I’ve learned. You’re a great and inspiring teacher. I’ll be sending my $thanks here.❤😊
I love a fair bit of western medias and blues music and I'm a newcomer to the harmonica. Somehow it never crossed my mind to use the mouth shapes of vowels and syllables before. This really is a game changer! Instant subscribe. I feel like this channel may come in very useful in the future! Edit: I'm gonna need a link for shirts like that cause it looks awesome.
Thanks Luke, feeling the joy. The chord bomb blew me up. 🤘maybe I’ll get there after numerous rewinds. Two days into learning and I’m loving Juzzy Smith. Great for newbies.

Hi Luke ! I've just discovered your youtube page, it's undoubtedly one of the best. Thank you for your work! I really like Juzzie Smith's Jamming, I discovered this artist in your video. I play the riff but I'd like to add his little harmonica phrases at 40'', 50'', 1'00'', 1'13'', ... in the official video. I don't have the ear to hear the notes, with the microphone it's very difficult. Do you have a tablature please? I would be very grateful Thank you once again for your content!
Newbie here. I've been a guitarist for ages, but I'm going to be living in a campervan for a year and I fancy emerging as a harmonica player. Tell me what I should buy?
Hey Luke! I recently bought a harmonica and i have already learnt the basics of the instrument. The first groove by Juzzie Smith was amazing. Could you please tell me what backing track did you use for this video?? I would appreciate it a ton. Thank you very much, you are an amazing teacher!!
Seems like the norm in comments for guitar players switching over to harmonica due to hand/shoulder injuries interfering with their guitar playing and I’m definitely one of them too. When one passion becomes less fun due to injuries it’s good to pick up a different instrument and learn something new that keeps you enjoying the passion of playing music.
Yep. I already had been playing harp for a couple years, but when I got repetitive stress syndrome in my left hand and had to stop playing guitar, I started playing A LOT more harp!!!!! Silver linings...
