If ever you had played an harmonica you cannot begin to fandom what a monster this dude is. It's almost disgusting how good he is.

What's really impressive is how he can still play with all that off-beat clapping in the background
Yeah, I think that's sort of rude actually.
I really hate when people clap to music.
it might be an illusion, as sound takes some time to travel in large theatres like that
I was thinking the same thing man, but I think you can concentrate on the beat and isolate the rest
RIGHT?!
Harmonica is one of those instruments where, until you attempt it, it looks almost comical. And then you realize exactly how much nuance there is to playing it even passably well. To be this good is not only a lifetime of practice, but a once-in-a-generation talent.
Harmonica and whistle can make music anytime, but people lost the skill these days
Ohhhhhhhhhhh yeah....

The sad thing is that people have no clue how hard each of those songs are in the harmonica! The first one was so beautiful and played so amazingly that it was breathtaking! That was the easy one! What he did on the second and 3rd song was on the border of impossible! Yet he made it seem so easy! It was utterly and completely amazing!!!!

Yup, amazing! Harmonicas are so limited; yet, he's able to still get all those notes (from a standard diatonic!)

He is playing these pieces on a diatonic harmonica... whoaaaa... all those bending and overblowing to get the half notes would be sheer impossible to achieve even at very slow speeds, let alone at those tempos and with such musicality. A true master indeed.
I didnt know that this is such a Harmonica. This Makes it so much More impressive
My dad could play harmonica and for his birthday one year my mom bought him a really good chromatic harmonica. Well that was it!! He loved it and so did we! I can still hear him in my head. I love you dad...
@bunkyman8097 I bought my Dad a chromonica with my proper first weeks wages in 1982 and had it engraved to him. It was £51. I have it here in front of me, its well worn and still has a smell of him when I play my basic stuff. Oh how I wish we had phones back in the 80's 90's and early 0's when he was alive 😢
The people who think this is easy have clearly never played harmonica. It may look easy but it is hard. It's incredible how good he is. And here I am, struggling to play HAPPY BIRTHDAY-
It's cringeworthy how you state the obvious with such a sense of discovery. Why would anyone think it's easy!? That you think that of others is condescending alone. Do you think other people are that dense?! If it was easy, anyone could do it and would do it! That applies to everything in life! And what all professionals in any craft have in common is that they are so good at it that they make it look easy. That's why it's so impressive to begin with. If they struggled at what they do, no one would want to see or hear it, because we all have enough to struggle with ourselves, no need to watch others do it too, or even pay for it. Look at yerself. Does anyone want to hear that? Nope. Only you.
@@Claude-Eckel Ah, a pretentious..."elitist." Does it make *you* feel good to tear down someone making a simple observation? Do you rip into your children in the same acidic way when they roll up on you to share whatever trite little effort they have? God forbid if they do because after one or two of these kinds of scathing diatribes I imagine they wouldn't want to hear what you have to say ever again.
Now the really interesting part of your "rebuke," if you can even call it that, though that's my way of being gentle with what you're *actually* doing, is that you felt it was even necessary to respond at all and while you go on about saying that this person is condescending, you yourself are even far more condescending and, frankly, despicable in your methodology. Do you think anyone reading your comment cares what you have to say after your opening "salvo," as it were? I can't even say you were well intentioned here, but rather just using this opportunity to vent. You lost all credibility and that's sad because you could easily have made your observations and they might have had some validity, but you didn't. You went for full on Internet Troll nonsense.
I'm responding because you're a bully and someone needs to call you out on it. No one cares about your own assessment of this person's comment or your attempt to put this commenter in their place. I think the only person here that needs to look at themselves is you. Learn how to rebuke softly and gently and you won't be getting folk like myself getting up in your face and calling you out on your behavior.
And, please, since I took the time to respond in the most tactful of ways, if you feel it necessary to respond, (though I believe you should keep your mouth shut, take your licks, man up and learn something here) don't. Seriously. Don't. I don't care what you have to say at this point. As I said previously, you lost all credibility and whatever else you say is just going to compound your losing position. Does anyone want to hear what you have to say now? Nope. Only you.
Cheers!

Harmonica is easy, just learn how to practice like you're playing, and all your playing is practice. You will be fine
That harmonica did not know it was capable of those notes. It is still astonished.
Just WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
From the box, the typical harmonica has 10 holes - equal to 19 tones (there is a one repeated tone depending on whether you blow or suck the chord). But it is more complicated - you can play half tones by either sucking the air hard, or by blowing (and this technique is super hard to be done correctly). I've been playing the harmonica for several years in the band. After about three or four years I was able to copy almost every simple melody, but what this guy is doing this is unachievable-level-god. Super, super hard.
Yet this guy discovers all the possible
Técnicas de overbands e overblows.
Hahahaha

It is incredible a small harmonica sounds like an orchestra performance.

Just because it plays the same melody? It doesn't sound like an orchestra at all.

u can say whatever u want but the harmonica is easily in the top 5 best instruments ever created, u can't change my mind, no other instrument can channel feeling like the harmonica, which is also why, while u can play all types and genres of music, to me it is purely a blues instrument. Man do I love the harmonica

This dude seriously whipped out "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring," with it's 9/8 time & intricate arpeggiated melody, as the first "sophisticated" thing he played before going full Boss Mode on the William Tell Overture's "Finale," which suits itself really well to the Harmonica.

Imagine being a violin player that practices years to be come the best and make it into an award winning orchestra and a guy walks in with a harmonica a steals the show. Lol legend
So true! In college, i took violin lessons using the Suzuki method and learned some of those classical tunes on my harp. At one point my teacher had me sorta prank some faculty members. I walked into the room, opened my violin case, set my bow aside then reached in and pulled my harp from the case and played - it was a surprise to them and gave me a lot of joy - if only i could remember which piece it was - certainly not close to what Buddy does here.
Legend indeed. Buddy has practiced his instrument longer than most them violin players been alive for.
16 years ago, at the beginning of my harmonica journey, I saw this clip of buddy green and was blown away and inspired.
