Hi, I think I forgot to say it in this guide but when it comes too pre raid gear I try to not mention expensive BoEs since thats what every big youtuber does as if everyone has lots of gold to spend and I want to be more new player friendly when i can. u do not need that gear to clear the raid.
good guide, the #1 parser (as of last night) was full survival with the #2 being BM-they had a ~30 dps variance but both still used BM glove runes. Imo BM is still better all around especially in PvP but survival pumps those numbers up very high with a good group Another thing to mention is when all melee abilities are on CD you can wing clip to refresh wild strikes proc

24:10 the ironspine's eye ring is easy to farm, but it can take a couple of hours because it is dropped by a rare, even so, if you have a lot of time and want to try it at lvl 40 most of the mobs in the graveyard don't attack you, you can skip most of the dungeon until the spawn rare
Just for a reference, it took me about 35 resets and killing the rare 4 times to drop the ring, but I think it was more bad luck than anything else, since the ring has the best chance of dropp
Hi, you talking about the one that lights up in the middle of the screen? For that u need the addon Weakaura and then u go to my description and follow the link to the weakaura script i use. Hope it helps

Some revision on this: Scarlet Legs are worse than Basilisk Hide Pants, Raging Beserker Helm is worse than Artemis Cowl WSG neck is better than this one 1% Crit cloak is worse than 10/9+agility as crit does not work well with dual wield hunter. It's good but not great. Cobrahn's is here for some reason, but its bad, replace with Deftkin Belt if you can't afford a 9+9+ Tiger or Arathi PVP belt. 29 WSG ring is ok but just farm the Ironhide Ring from SM GY
Deftkin is horde only but yes i should have mentioned it. Yeah cobran belt was a weird mention but is 11 ap while the others that was easy to get had 8 but yeah agility does bring more crit
Scarlet leggings are super easy to get vs 200+ gold BoE. Raging Berserker Helm isn't much worse than Artemis Cowl and it's another easy to get item. What sources are you using that says crit isn't good for dual wield melee hunters? Defkin belt is Horde only, and he's clearly a Dwarf character. You can only spam 5 GY while /targetting for Ironhide who is the rarest of the rare spawns in that dungeon... I think you missed the point of this video.
As a Range BM Hunter there's some nice mob farms in Phase 2. Is there any for Melee? Would think you take too much threat away from your pet to gold farm mobs effectively?
Can you go over how to get some of the gear from quest like the neck. I don't know where the quests are and I can't see the name of you gear could you read what it is and where to get it. I subscribes I like the video.

I got a little notice.... back in vanilla we used shadowoil on offhand weapon for the shadowbolt proc. this is although affected by lone wolf with +30% and +% dmg from shadow/warlock....
So the difference to me between surv and bm damage might just be rng procs on reset of flanking. Also with full bm you can literally use the same spec for ranged. So if a big upgrade like the gun drops then I can switch back or if the group needs me ranged I can switch back. Good video again Sven

On living flame horde the blue boe Stalvans Reaper is 34g they have really nice max dmg and slow speed, 2 of those would be nice or 1 and the quest axe

If you have full bfd leather set do you wait till you get a gnomer piece before swapping other 2? Also the 1% pet ring from bfd how viable is that for mellee hunter
Yes the set bonuses makes it really good. I really like it that they added that ring but sadly it was not very strong compared to other rings u could get at that lvl

I noticed you put a talent point for Deterence. When do you use that ability? Or is specifically for PvP?
Yes, mostly for pvp or if u accidentaly have to tank a boss for a couple secs

Yeah i totally forgot about it, it is a very nice ring

You can solo the Blazewind Breastplate quest. Just pull each dragon into Loch Modan and get the town guards to kill them for you.

U get a begins a quest item if u kill any of the npcs that spawn during the ashenvale event, u can do that once a week

I want to mention that your pet scales off of Ranged AP, sol it's more efficient to have hawk active the biggest amount of time possible
This is true, i did mention it but it is only 15 ap so just dont let that gcd override your raptor too much if u wanna min max :D

Either way if you have to move out u will still auto shot and or use ranged on the move so more ranged attack damage

Ah sorry did not know the names was hard to read. Il see what i can do. The quest is named "Shadowshard Fragments" for the neck, hope it helps

your getting 15% agility in your skill tree which makes me think the wsg neck is better mayvbe?
With lion and specc it gets u to almost 14,85 agi wich is ofc good, in bm specc u might want the extra crit it gives abit more too

The big difference is 3% crit & Hit, 15% agility, 20% extra crit with RS and 3% increased dmg to humanoids + crit dmg. Pretty huge tbh.
Are big two handed weapons completely out for hunters now due to the dual wield rune? Even if someone is using hydra?
have not given it a good try at 40 but dual wield is very strong atm yes but mby it catches up when we get a nerf haha
Regarding Pets: Aren't Raptors just as good as Cats in Dmg?
Yeah in pure dmg, but cats have dash so thats why they are better

Do u have petattack in your melee macros? If u do it is safe to have one more that is only for petpassive

A couple of the green axes are fine aswell with the axe skill boost heavy mithril axe or greater scythe

There are much better axes then you listed. Axe of the Ebon drake/ digmaster 5000
The dmg on them is abit low, but alteast one of them is from a quest

Yes but raptor strike, carve and flanking strike only cares about your weapon dmg and not the dps
