Yes, the orange staining is from the aluminum in antiperspirant oxidizing when it comes in contact with sweat. But they may also mean the actual wet patches from sweating. If you sweat a lot then you use antiperspirant to try and stop it, so it becomes a vicious cycle. 😵💫

I have hyperhidrosis from a medication that I can’t stop taking. It’s absolutely miserable. I wish the injection thing was an option for me but I don’t sweat in my armpits, it’s basically the neck up, especially under my hair which is insanely thick & black which holds heat also 😑😑🥵
I’ve also had this issue, including the thick hair that holds on to the heat. From the neck up, at any time (didn’t even have to actually be warm) my hair and face would literally pour with sweat like a faucet was turned on. I always had to take a little towel with me everywhere and often told people I’d just showered and hadn’t fully dried my hair. It is so frustrating and tiring. I recently was able to take less of the meds that caused it and am so relieved. I hope you as well will one day find a solution. Maybe it is possible to use Botox on your scalp as well? Definitely worth asking your doctor right?
Have you tried getting an undercut? I found it really helped me when I struggled. My hair isn’t thick enough to need it anymore but it really does make a difference.
Have you talked to your doctor about the unwanted side effect? I had the same from a medication I take, and they gave me the option to either switch medication or take an additional medication to help with the sweating. I chose the latter since I didn’t want to deal with trial and error of switching. It works great!
They can do Botox in other places besides the armpits for hyperhidrosis, including the neck and scalp. It can be injected almost anywhere. Many people get injections in the head/neck area for migraines, and they can even inject into the palms of the hands and soles of the feet for hyperhidrosis.
It seems that some adults are still wholly uneducated about basic hygiene; deodorant serves two distinct purposes-to mask bacteria-causing odor, and to absorb persperation. Botox only addresses the persperation problem, hence the odor caused from naturally occurring bacteria (we all have it) will be unaffected. A simple yet effective tip for odor is to apply a benzoyl peroxide or Salycilic acid wash to the underarm area, leave for a few minutes, then rinse off. Some may need additional moisturizer afterwards, and note that benzoyl peroxide stains dark cloth/material. Pro tip: do this at night, so as to allow the mechanism to penetrate thoroughly while asleep.
Most of my life I've dealt with sweaty palms ☠️ When I asked my derm about it, they told me that Botox injections in the palm can help, BUT it's very painful and you are likely to become more sweaty elsewhere, like the armpits. So I'm curious how having Botox in the armpits will impact sweat elsewhere
For sweaty palms, there is also a device that is filled with a bit of water, you submerge your palms in the water and it sends a small current through both arms. I don't think we know exactly why that works, but it's legit. Has to be done regularly in order for it to work, not sure how expensive it is but I don't think prohibitively so.
My fathers is 88 years old and was detwcted cancer, and the doctor said is the most common cancer in older people , he tan during all his youth only in the 80's he take care and use sunscreen and what he did in his youth affected you even you care in your mature older years

However, I must remember not to take a mouthful of tea before hand....the outcome....not a pretty sight.😂 On a more serious note dear James, as someone whom has only ever owned Samsung phones powered by Android I have to let you know when my mobile heard that, it broke its poor heart and now it won't stop crying.🥺 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Omg so much agreement on Pantones colour of the year. Constant snooze 😆The process and result reminds me of when there's like 10 writers on a song and it's still underwhelming
My daughter had botox in armpits for excessive sweating, and then found she started having terrible excessive sweaty palms!! Had some other injections to then treat that!!!! When it finally wore off (years later!!) She never had it done again!!
I am not anti botox, but I am anti, anti aging. There is nothing wrong with getting older, or having wrinkles. Ladies, we are so much more than our looks. "When you're young and beautiful that's an accident, but when you're old and beautiful, you've earned it!"
I have discoid lupus which basically means I’m allergic to the sun and I also burn very easily PLUS the meds I was on in high school made me sweat so much my mom got my second period gym class moved to the last period of school to spare me of being even sweatier all day. My skin breaks out in lesions that bleed if in sun too much. Benadryl is a staple in our house
The color trending thing happens in fashion as well. If you listen to the podcast Articles of Interest Season 3 American Ivy : Chapter 1, they talk all about it. (Great podcast btw! Not spon) It’s kind of a tail wagging the dog thing. These trend forecaster companies sell info to most every corporation that carries fashion of any kind and tells them “this will be the trend”. So, is it the trend coming first or the trend forecasters causing the trends to happen?
hypochlorous acid isn't "100 more time more powerful than bleach", because it is bleach, it's ClO- (aq), albeit in a very different concentration than in household products hehe :p I love it! a 0,02% hypochlorous acid spray is a must have in first aid kit for minor wound care and a secret weapon for skincare (against angry acne, fungal overgrowth like seborrhoeic dermatitis, even rosacea) also great for hand sanitizer on the go.
6:53 James said that 2023 was a filler year like a season two episode five. And I remembered that the season two episode five of Euphoria was my favorite episode which I watched like five times… and this was absolutely not a filler one
2023 has been the crap year that keeps on giving. Two weeks ago, I was like, yay, holiday break! 2024 is almost here! And then I found out tonight I have strep throat and will probably have to wear a mask at Christmas. Typical 2023.
I’ve had painful sunburns where I got sick from it when I was younger and ever since I make sure to wear my sunscreen every single day but seeing these people do this is just sickening because I can only imagine the pain that’s going to come with this and the skin cancer but they did this to themselves.
Ive had botox on the NHS for hyperhidrosis (hairline, hands and pits) - its not as good as it sounds tbh. I stopped sweating in the botoxed area, and started sweating elsewhere (compensatory sweating). When the botox wore off, i continued sweating in both areas, so actually increased my problem. What made it worse is that my hairline sweating turned into severe facial sweating which i still suffer from years later. I take medications on occasions, but they have their own issues like not being able to pee! Surgery is no longer performed in the UK, NHS or private. Sometimes is better to learn to live with a condition, however antisocial it is.
Hi! I work at a dermatologist office, only a receptionist mind you, but we actually have a lot of people come in for hyperhidrosis, which is excessive sweating, and botox in the armpits is a good way to help with it. You can also get it in the face, so if you sweat on your upper lip a l o t, then that might be a sign to get it checked! Always good to get things like that checked, and sometimes it's covered w/ your insurance, if you're in the USA. Always check your plan, though. Also, botox is just a brand of neurotoxin, but there are others called dysport, xeomin, and daxxify that I can remember off the top of my head, but botox is the most famous one. Anyways, botox is interesting, and has a LOT more uses than you think! But the girl thinking it's not a toxin when it... really is, since it's paralyzing your sweat glands. Weird.
I'm slightly surprised James didn't mention that the compound used to dissolve fillers can also dissolve naturally-occurring HA in your skin leading to sagging skin.
I got underarm Botox for medical reasons. Absolutely worth it 100%, amazing, stunning, life changing. I’m so happy with it. If insurance covers it, there’s no reason not to do it.
Do people not realize that we sweat for a reason? Unless you have Hyperhydrosis, keeping your sweat glands functional is important, especially in a hot environment like LA.
Sweat glands are present all over your body. It won't impact the average person overmuch to stop the sweating in the pits, as long as they're not an athlete or construction worker or something. LA may be hot, but a model will mostly be indoors in climate-controlled environments.
Eyyyyy I'm in the Cursed AI group on Facebook 😂😂 I don't make AI pics but it's funny seeing what other people make. And it's even funnier to see people outside of the group thinking every picture that looks somewhat real is actually real. Like.... there's no way there is a new breed of dogs called mini micro that can fit in the palm of your hand. I mean, come on 😂💜
So i work in a derm office and we actually use botox injections to treat excessive sweating! It's usually about 50cc in each axilla (one little syringe for both sides). And we can do this every 3-9 months depending on how long it lasts for the patient. We dont stop the sweating entirely, we just help bring it back to a managable level! But pls everyone use deodorant PLEASE
I swear you get more handsome every time I watch you 😍 that sunburn competition gave me the ultimate fear 😂 I hope you and your family have a great Christmas ❤
Pantone color of the year - I always imagine it on my walls or otherwise in my interior. And now thinkimg of that peach, what I see is 2000s salmon walls everywhere... it's scarry
Not sweating at all is not a good thing (and thank God we don't sweat only from our armpits). Sweating is one of the ways our body can regulate its temperature so we don't overheat. I understand the treatment for people who sweat too much, like you said, but if you sweat a normal amount, then I think it's silly to get it done.
Ectoine is an extremely interesting compound. It’s an osmolyte that protects bacteria in extreme condition from osmotic stress. Basically it helps prevent water loss to the surrounding high salinity environments and protects proteins from high temperatures. Really nifty compound. I can see why they experiment with it in skin care. No idea if it works.
As someone with a slight case of hyperhydrosis (?) I’ve made a few lists as to why getting Botox in my pits or palms of my hands might be a good or bad idea. The thing that always makes me reconsider it majorly as that the body can easily turn to compensatory sweating which would mean all that excess sweat moving to other places that I currently don’t have many issues with like my back and chest which compared to my hands (which are the worse) don’t sweat much. Also it high key very painful in the pits and has to be redone every 6-12 months to keep the excessive sweating away. In my case topical more intensive antiperspirant have been the better option and I can in fact also use them on my hands. I know of people with the same condition who do get the Botox done in their pits and it’s a 50% success for those I do know. For some it’s perfect and for others it either didn’t do much more than the topical treatments and for a few it made the underarm sweat go away but they got sweatier else where… hey if she actually got it done for hyperhydrosis than more power to her. But if it was to avoid toxins for real than that was just dumb af.

Me laughing my ass off because the extreme sunburn competition came from the fb group Cursed AI
I love dissolver videos too, people are absolutely gorgeous after!
....it's more like a "Who can get Skin Cancer Fastest" contest
Thank you for clarifying the information on Pantone color of the year. As somebody who works in the print industry I have known for a long time how that actually happened although it is kind of funny to see these conspiracy theories of about Pantone emerge. 😁
not content related, but i often put your videos on once im ready to sleep, the way you speak and your voice is just so calming.. 🙃
Concealer lips actually did come from somewhere! Cosplayers (usually women) have been applying concealer as lip tint for years in order to appear more masculine.
yesss merry Christmas everyone 🩷🩷🩷🩷
same 🎄
& the same to you 🕊
That 7:10 reference to 2023 being a filler year really summed up how the year felt. Spot on!
Lmfao so much batshit crazy in one video 😂
😂😂😂
JAMES!! Off topic completely- I’m turning 27 in two weeks and I feel my skincare is needing a change- please teach me what products I can use together to keep my skin nice and tight and bright- I need all the anti aging secrets for my age group! Love ya ur the greatest.
No toxins! But I’ll inject another substance… love it 🤣
Just a LITERAL TOXIN 😂
Great topics.... Thank you! Merry Christmas to everyone who celebrates.🎄
“Season 2 episode 5”😂 that about sums it up!
Oh my goodness, the tone in your voice when you said ectoin was ‘found in dark caves’ had me in bits. So funny 😂
OMG I've been saying this to my friends that 2023 felt like a filler year! Felt like 2022 part 2, idk. Just felt like time passed and so much but also nothing happened
Im from Florida and this is the tip of the iceberg when it comes to to the weirdness for anybody wondering… that being said! If anyone ever needs any Florida advice please reach out and ask… there’s MUCH to see and much to avoid lol
Gulf coast is so beautiful ❤️
I just got a condo in Ft. Lauderdale, living part time in Mass and part time in Fl. I wish I could be there full time despite the craziness hahaha
@@berry2563 hope you enjoy it even it’s it’s part time. Congrats on the condo and happy holidays (: 🍾
My only time there I broke out in hives all over my legs. Like blistered/ purple ass legs. Turns out I’m allergic to the sand in the gulf coast 🙃 (specifically, yes) probably won’t try again hahaha
@@Cashhhhew that side does have sand fleas in the summer sounds like sand flea bites… the deer flies on the west side of Florida also sting and hurt badly if you do ever decide to come back and head to the freshwater springs and swim ( usually no gators but can’t guarantee..) I’ve been a bunch of times it’s more on the rare side for alligator attacks in springs
S2E5 is the best descriptor I have ever heard. Like you can’t skip it or you’ll be lost in E6 but getting through it is like “well that was….okay”
I have hyperhidrosis from a medication that I can’t stop taking. It’s absolutely miserable. I wish the injection thing was an option for me but I don’t sweat in my armpits, it’s basically the neck up, especially under my hair which is insanely thick & black which holds heat also 😑😑🥵
I was also on meds that gave me horrendous excessive sweating. I really feel for you
I’ve also had this issue, including the thick hair that holds on to the heat.
Hello! Thanks again for uploading in time for my Saturday brunch!
I’ve had a bad burn when I was 8 years old. I was out of school for a week and it was absolutely miserable. I don’t do outside without my sunscreen.❤
JAMES! What a NASTY trick to play! I thought that sunburn competition was real and I lost all my faith in humanity. 😩😄
Wow, she looks beautiful and natural after the filler was devolved. ❤
My fathers is 88 years old and was detwcted cancer, and the doctor said is the most common cancer in older people , he tan during all his youth only in the 80's he take care and use sunscreen and what he did in his youth affected you even you care in your mature older years
Hypochlorous acid has helped my skin so much this year!
AI is the definition of the Uncanny Valley 😮
That lady looks so much younger without her filler. I’m happy for her
Would you ever do a Aldi dupe comparison skin care review?!
I've been using Optase for a while which is a hypochlorous acid eyelid spray for people who don't sleep well/get irritated crusty eyes. It works well but I'd never thought of it as a beauty treatment.
Hi James, what barrier cream do you recommend for my husbands' beautiful face. He works outside for Cirque du Soleil so he's always in the elements. I finally got him to at least wear a moisturiser & he does wear sunscreen.
Will you be coming to Royal Albert Hall to see our show??
Merry Christmas ❤❤❤❤
That opening line is gold lol
The sunburn competition didn’t surprise me as a possibility, made me think of that sauna competition in Finland which is brutal
Merry Christmas James! ❤
The video quality is amazing
thank you!
As a fair skinned, freckled Aussie I always got told I look sickly and need a tan. I never listened. Until I open my mouth, many people assume I'm British or European. That sunburn thing really made me feel ill.
The tone of voice and expression when you said you'd never own an Android made me laugh. However, I must remember not to take a mouthful of tea before hand....the outcome....not a pretty sight.😂
On a more serious note dear James, as someone whom has only ever owned Samsung phones powered by Android I have to let you know when my mobile heard that, it broke its poor heart and now it won't stop crying.🥺 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Hey James, i love your viedeos. ❤ Can you please show us a good skincare routine with korean products. Which are not skin brigthening. Ive been trying it for years but i struggle. 😢
Merry Christmas to you and your family! ❤
If something dumb is happening it's definitely in Florida. Please don't tell anyone I've lived here for 40 yrs. Lol
"I feel like 2023 was a filler year... like season 2 episode 5... you don't really need it". I love the philosophical metaphors from James. Spot on 😂
Omg so much agreement on Pantones colour of the year.
I LOVE THIS!
So, is it the trend coming first or
the trend forecasters causing the trends to happen?
this type of content has to be one of my fav ones from you 🥹💜
hypochlorous acid isn't "100 more time more powerful than bleach", because it is bleach, it's ClO- (aq), albeit in a very different concentration than in household products hehe :p I love it! a 0,02% hypochlorous acid spray is a must have in first aid kit for minor wound care and a secret weapon for skincare (against angry acne, fungal overgrowth like seborrhoeic dermatitis, even rosacea) also great for hand sanitizer on the go.
love these videos so much! i wish they were longerrrr 🥹😭😭
It's not real 😂
Omg, my face hurts, just looking at the sunburn thumbnail. 😂❤
I love your little uncertain laugh after, “Yes, it smells a little bit like chlorine…”
Extreme sunburn competition sounds like a hunger games for natural selection party 💀
Having lived in Florida for most of my adult life...i can say i have never heard of this competition
@@raerohan4241 Fair enough.
I mean I would exactly be surprised if Florida actually had a sunburn competition
James 💔 Why would you break my Androids heart...😂 JK love the video as always!
They think it's like a smoothie for your skin, but it's more like gas station nacho cheese for your skin
Pantone color of the year - I always imagine it on my walls or otherwise in my interior. And now thinkimg of that peach, what I see is 2000s salmon walls everywhere... it's scarry
So, the Devil Wears Prada-style colour choice method for Pantone lol
Not sweating at all is not a good thing (and thank God we don't sweat only from our armpits). Sweating is one of the ways our body can regulate its temperature so we don't overheat. I understand the treatment for people who sweat too much, like you said, but if you sweat a normal amount, then I think it's silly to get it done.
Uh,James you didn't show an image of the pantone color. You showed another cursed AI image. 😂❤
I love you so much 😂 your personality is the best
A sunburn competition?!
*SCREAMS IN GINGE SKIN. . .then I'm reminded I could be in the running just after a could bit of cardio*
That lady was REALLY into her little slideshow presentation...
