FIRST TIME WATCHING CAPTAIN AMERICA CIVIL WAR
What a movie??! Are you Team Captain America or Team Iron Man? Let's have a movie night!!!! FULL reaction on Patreon! www.patreon.com/tktopmovies
Team Iron Man because of Spider-Man!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊😊
Team Iron Man !!!
Also fix your title please
I love Tony "Iron Man" a lot, but I have to side with Cap'n on this one. Sorry, not sorry...
Neither team is completely right, however Team Tony is more right than Team Cap. Team Cap saying there should be no accountability or oversight and complete autonomy for their actions is ridiculous and stupid. Only in the MCU do The Avengers operate in that manner. In the comics. they always had government oversight and representation because they needed to. Even in the MCU they were formed as a special task force under SHIELD...A GOVERNMENT AGENCY. Just because they are superheroes doesn't detach them from the responsibility of the collateral damage they cause. Everyone has oversight in any society. That is what holds a society together, rules and regulations put in place to protect the citizens. Nobody sees the silliness in a Captain America claiming to be fighting for America while also saying anything he does is above the law of America?! Cap in the comics was never like that and the comics had a much more realistic and mature approach to this. The MCU having The Avengers just going wherever they want with nobody to coordinate with or answer to is cartoonish.
Team Cap 100%. The Sokovia Accords are idiotic. No one smarter than the chair they sit on would trust the UN to be in charge of the Avengers. Or General/Secretary Ross. Ross is the longest-running villain in the MCU. Everything he does is wrong. You might as well put Justin Hammer in charge of the Avengers - he's about equally ethical and equally competent.
The first thing they do after the accords are signed is to try to hunt down and murder Bucky. No investigation, no proof of guilt beyond a reasonable doubt, no trial or due process of law. Then they throw Falcon, Ant Man, and Hawkeye in a prison with no trial. The Sokovia Accords are not partially right. They are 100% wrong. Countries already have laws and systems of justice in place. If the government of Nigeria wants to issue an arrest warrant for Wanda, they can. No Sokovia Accords needed. There can be a trial, and evidence presented on both sides, due process, and respect for human rights. The Sokovia Accords are the antithesis of that.
THE central moral idea of the Marvel Universe is "With great power comes great responsibility." Peter says this in different words in his conversation with Tony, but Tony fails to understand it. The message of the Sokovia Accords is "With great power comes someone else's responsibility."
It is both Captain America 3 and Avengers 2.5 at the same time. Hate to see them all fight but still fun. Also interesting to see the one person, Zemo, who took the Avengers down had no super powers.
Woah no superpowers to tear apart the superheroes, that's a really crazy point!!!!
In the MCU, the Mind Stone didn't necessarily give Wanda her powers, but rather _awakened_ them, as in the comics she is known as the Scarlet Witch, who wields actual magic thanks to her heredity.
This film is great because we see Cap reaching the end of his journey of growth. He started off as a soldier following orders, then began questioning those orders when the ones giving them disguised fascism as security, and now is actively opposing the legal authority of the UN in a wonderful nod to Thomas Jefferson, who famously said in his papers "If a law is unjust, a man is not only right to disobey it, he is obligated to do so."
"Legal" does not mean "right", and that is the stance Steve Rogers has taken, though the whole world is against him, he is standing firm.
And back in the day prior to all these sports drinks and such, athletes would eat orange slices at halftime of sports games and such for hydration and a quick carb rush.
Wanda and her brother are magneto from x-men kids
@@AntoineRideaux-wd1zk
Depending on which comic continuity you go by. This caused some legal confusion when the X-Men movies used Quicksilver as Magneto's son, and this franchise used him as Wanda's brother. They ultimately had to split them up, but how is a spoiler for Age of Ultron.
Spoilers!
Why spill a bunch of spoilers? Lol
35:04 "Orange slices" Scott (Paul Rudd) is referring to the snack commonly given to kids at half time of a soccer game, at least that's what we supplied my son's teams when it was our turn. By the way, remember this phrase.
I love how this movie leads one to _think_ they know what's coming next, then delivers the shocks. All the way to the end.
OMG Complete shocks! We had no clue they would turn on each other like that!!
In the video Ross showed, about the only event that could be blamed on the Avengers was Sokovia. Almost all the others were bad actions _by government agencies and officials._ Most of the Hulk incidents were Ross’s direct fault, the government’s proposed solution to the New York incident was to try to nuke New York. SHIELD was planning to kill millions before Steve, Natasha and Sam stopped them.
And even Sokovia was mostly Tony's fault, rather than the rest of the Avengers'. But even so, you could blame that on Wanda, for manipulating Tony. Or on Hydra, for using Wanda to manipulate Tony.
And then Ross's actions here were to hunt down and murder an innocent man with no investigation and no due process of law. And then to imprison three other men, also with no trial. Ross seems to believe that if you can be labeled a "superhero", you lose your human rights.
The events of 2012 can be blamed on shield messing with the tesseract, attracting loki and the chitauri. Shield was also a private organisation which the avengers was under until shield fell in winter soldier. So New York is easily blamable as well
@@jxy8938 But Shield is and always was a government agency. The Avengers had nothing to do with Shield messing with the tesseract. In fact, the Avengers didn't even exist at the time, except as an idea.
So in short, Cap is right. The Accords simply shifts the blame.
Correct. Government tried to NUKE New York.
Fun fact the making of the chase scene where black panther is chasing buckey through that tunnel is practically done. Sure there are cgi enhancements…but them running as fast or faster than the cars is done practically. Highly recommend checking out the behind the scenes of these movies one of these days.
It is pretty cool…they drag these giant super flat tarp like mats behind these vehicles rigged up with cameras and the stuntmen run on the mat as the vehicle drags that mat they’re running on. So it makes it look like they are running as fast as or faster than the traffic.
It's a great way to film super-speed practically instead of relying on CGI. I think Underworld was the first movie to come up with that way of filming the effect.
That would be sweet to check out the behind-the-scenes!! Thanks for sharing that!!! Sounds sweet!
Corridor Crew TH-cam channel has an episode where they cover it with the stunt guys. Also... the other winter soldier's we see are played by the stunt actors (the female one, for example, is Black Widow's / Scarlett's stunt double).
@@carlgibson285 Yes! Underworld was the first time I saw this particular practical effect.
"VENGEANCE HAS CONSUMED U, ITS CONSUMING THEM.......IM DONE LETTING IT CONSUME ME"
" I believe that's yours Captain America" LOL I SWEAR I LOVE HIM SO MUCH 😂😂❤
Hahaha, Paul Rudd plays Ant-Man so well.
9:06 do y'all remember Thaddeus Ross, he was the general who was hunting down Hulk and now he's the secretary of state
OMG OMG OMG RIGHT!!!!! He looked so familiar!!!!!
And the Hulk rampages in his video were _his_ fault.
@@donsample1002 Exactly. He should be in prison, not made secretary of state. Ross is the longest-running villain in the MCU.
@@PhilBagels Welcome to the way 'Murica runs things. The ones who make the most money for the rich end up with the most power
@@lordmortarius538 But Ross didn't make any money for anyone. With all the property damage and destroyed equipment, and human casualties - and never succeeding in his objectives, he cost them a ton of money and gained nothing.
I just happen to live in Chadwick’s hometown of Anderson, South Carolina. this man has done truly king work for the kids & local communities here. Wakanda Forever, My King 🤴🏿 and Team Cap all the way 🫡🇺🇸🗽🦅
Oh wow that's amazing to hear how much he did for the local communities! May he rest in peace
Marvel's continuity is so strong. In the 1st Ironman movie, at tha awards ceremony at the beginning, the newspaper with the headline about Tony's parents dying is dated December 17th 1991.
Great reactions. Can't wait for you to see more.
Woahhhh! Love that!! Thanks for watching with us (: Eager to see Dr. Strange next!
@@tktopmovies I can't wait to see your reaction. It is so good. 😊
Secretary (aka General) Ross criticizing the Avengers for losing track of Banner is really rich, considering that that's exactly what he did in the Hulk movie.
Yep. General Ross is an idiot, as dumb and as unethical as Justin Hammer. As is whoever appointed him secretary of state.
Ross isn't above a bit of hypocrisy after all. Whatever works. 😉
OH RIGHT!!!!! Woah....now he's the Secretary of State! Ross can't be trusted!!
I will never understand those that blame Bucky for what the Winter Soldier did. I'm glad he had Steve fighting for him. I feel bad for Tony and understand his reaction but still. As a friend Steve tried to protect Tony by not telling him what he'd found out. As I see it Steve tried to do right by both Bucky and Tony.
As for the Accords... they all had their reasons to sign or not sign. I think both sides have a point. But it is ironic how it is Thunderbolt Ross that's in charge and saying what he does.
The wintersoldier will always be a part of him
Like Bucky sayed he still did it and thats why I love him, he knows its unforgivable for many he cant expect ppl to forgive him (espec family) because he was brainwashed.
I would react the same as Tony I could not forgive him and Steve too like he knew for a long time, so not only did he saw the murder of his parents but also felt betrayed by a good friend in a matter of mins. Try to cope that I dont know I would explode 😅 there is no right or wrong
Im glad he got out and a chance to redeem himself but at the same time I would have understood Tony if he had killed Bucky
@@opromlie2272 Yes, I agree and that's why I love him too. The wintersoldier will sadly always be apart of him but Bucky has always been a good hearted person that's why he will always feel bad for what he did as the wintersoldier. Still, it wasn't his doing but like I said, I understood Tony and can't blame him for his reaction. It's rather the fans of the movies that blames Bucky I will never understand.
(That said, who knows what they will do with Bucky in the upcoming movie. I kinda dread it but am hoping they won't change who he is, aka a good person at heart.)
Also tchalla has been the black panther since tony created the ironman suit in 2008.
I know it sounds strange (ba dum tssssss), but Strange is a real last name. Dr. Strange (as well as DC's Adam Strange and Hugo Strange) was named during a time when actor Glen Strange was active, although he wasn't named after the actor, but rather for the anthology comic that he first appeared in: _Strange Tales._
Steve Strange was also the name of the lead singer from 80s band, Visage. I have no idea if it was his real name or if he was just a big fan of Dr Strange though.
Oh sweet!!! Can't wait to watch Dr. Strange next!
Now we got introduced to Black Panther and Spider-Man in the MCU
You guys are great. 👍
Super reactions..... ❤️
I loved how you both ducked when the helicopter blades flew in your faces! Lol. 🤣
LOL!!! That is so funny looking back that we did that! Thanks for always being here, Zeke!!! (: You're great!! Have a nice week!
@tktopmovies Thanks. You two are fun to watch. I'm looking forward to Dr. Strange reaction, you guys... 👍
The dynamic between Steve and Tony are
Steve - Moral decisions
Tony - Ethical decisions.
They have similar goals, but may clash at times.
Great way to put it, John!!!
26:00 This line from Ross negates his entire argument. “There are dead people who would have been alive now.” Surely that’s exactly the point of the Avengers regarding NY, Sakovia … etc
I appreciate Daniel Brühl's (Zemo) acting resembling The Princes Bride famous scene.
"Hello. My name is Baron Zemo. You killed my father, wife and child. Prepare to die."
9:03 That’s the same guy who wanted to hunt down Bruce Banner and weaponize him.
I always thought…why didn’t any of these Avengers just say ok you don’t want us to save you anymore? Ok cool got it deal with the threats yourselves then! See how fast you come crawling back.
I think it's the same reason why the personal in hospitals don't go on strike: people, who are not responsible for the problem, would die. And they just can't let that happen. It's a real and sometimes serious problem.
grew up watching it and love it and in 7th grade my friend took me to the theater as a birthday present and it had just came out at the time and am on Caps side always
An awesome movie! We enjoyed it!! So cool you saw it in the theaters (:
YES!!!!!!! RIGHT ON TIME
WOOOHOOOO! This movie has us SHOCKED! Can't believe they are so split :( Thanks for being here with us!!
Hello there. Love y’all reactions. Id recommend watching the first trailer for Infinty war before watching for more excitement. It’s considered one of the best trailers ever and the hype was crazy when it dropped. Civil war had amazing trailers as well. Highly recommend!!🔥🔥
Oops. Looks like I found a live reaction late. I didn't know you were dropping it today. I ❤❤❤😍 this movie. It's an Avengers 2.5 movie because Thor and Banner are missing.
I saw this at the theater and didn't realize how tight coiled my muscles were from the anxiety, anticipation and overstimulation. It was bonkers in the theaters.
I am 1000% TEAM CAP, especially after uncovering that Hydra was hidden inside of S.H.I.E.L.D. He's right. Not all of Hydra was in one place. They were placed around the world in different political arenas and military secret services..on top of having mentally brainwashed sleeper cell assassins.
Pepper was overwhelmed with what happened in Ironman 3 and then what Tony did building Ultron, and what Ultron did to Sokovia. She needed some space from him, so that's why she wasn't at the college.
Secretary Thunderbolt Ross was a major hypocrite talking to the Avengers about the Accords, when he was responsible for the Abonination and Hulk in Harlem, N.Y.
He even had his pilot shooting live military grade rounds of ammunition from a helicopter, in the civilian neighborhood.
Back to being TEAM CAP... If my best friend from childhood was taken as a P.O.W., experimented on against his will and then mind controlled into a killer for over 50 years...just to be almost murdered by Tony. Nope...I need to protect his life. Tony wasn't going to just knock him out and then detain him for lock up...he was going for the kill.
I don't get how people thought Steve was wrong for defending Bucky.
They said he was wrong for not telling Tony about his parents. All he knew, before confirmation from that video, that Hydra was responsible for having the Starks killed. He didn't know it was by Bucky, but I think a part of him didn't want to know, because he never asked Bucky.
Once Cap drops the shield he becomes called by a different name..NOMAD. A soldier without a country.
Out of the first 3 phases, I think that Captain America movies give the most arcs to move the story plots forward.
Sharon Carter is Peggy's great niece, because the math doesn't add up that she'd be her immediate aunt. Peggy had to be in her late 20's or early 30's in the first Captain America movie, which was set in the 40's during WW2.
Steve thawed out close to the end of the first decade of the new millennium. The Winter Soldier events happened in the 2010's. Sharon looks no older than 27. Even if Peggy had a 15 year old sibling back then, the numbers still wouldn't add right to make Sharon her immediate niece.
Sharon getting a kiss from Steve was simply the least he could do to say thank you. She risked a lot to get their stuff.
I think they both wouldn't want to go there though.
People complained about the kiss, because Peggy was the "love of his life", but in all fairness, he barely knew her either. I think it was the first girl that paid attention to him, then he got changed and both were military (no fraternizing), also, women weren't officers in the service back then, so she couldn't just start acting like how they thought of her. Making out with Steve, as a higher ranking officer would be ruining her career, if caught.
Howard Stark bought the vibranium off of the black market, as an experimenting metal to use. It was still being considered while all materials were still being tested. Steve picked it up and took it.
It wasn't really military issued. So...yeah. Even though stolen vibranium was sold on the black market, even back then, the shield was used for good intentions by a good hearted man.
Natasha was right. Tony played it wrong and now Rhodes is paralyzed.
Although I agree with Steve, I thought it was big of him to contact Tony and extend an olive branch to Tony.
Tony has always acted condescending towards Steve because of his own daddy issues. Steve being praised by Tony's dad just built up so much resentment in him, even before meeting Steve for long.
If you flipped the narrative towards Tony, concerning what Bucky did, Tony didn't know his killing weapons were being sold to the bad guys from his dad's old partner. But none the less, Tony still made killing weapons.
It's just like Bucky was captured and turned into a mind controlled killing weapon.
Tony has the whole Sokovia situation to feel horrible about. He shouldn't have messed with the mindstone that created Ultron. He accidentally made a mass murdering machine.
Then that means Zemo was right to try and get them to kill each other or go straight after Tony.
Great reaction guys😁👍🏾
Hey Blackkatt!! Thanks for watching with us!! Love your thoughtful comments (: Oh I bet this was just madness in the theaters!! Thanks for answering our questions and you make great points!!! Looking forward to what happens next!
Seriously tho, Katie: how *CUTE* is Daniel Brühl (AKA: Zemo), and how JEALOUS would Ty be if you answered something along the lines of "I want him on my 'freebie cheat list'..."? ;)
The Sharon Carter speech was actually what Captain America said in the Civil War event in the comics.
Out of all the ppl I've seen react to this movie. I believe you're the first to catch on in the fact that one of the major reason tony signed the accords was due to try and please pepper..
I love that this has been set up over all the previous Avengers movies. Steve and Tony, while they worked well together, were constantly at odds in every film.
That's so true looking at it now!!!
Exactly why I hate the "He's my friend." "So was I." scene so much. There's absolutely no comparison between Steve/Bucky's friendship/relationship and Steve and Tony's tentative friendship. None at all!
It’s such an American perspective to think there isn’t any social responsibility in being dangerous weapons. Tony Stark has to deal with consequences in a way that Steve Rogers never bothers to, of course he wants to limit damage.
Those of us that grew up reading comics knew Agent 13 was Peggy's niece.
Even though was a bunch of Avengers in this movie, It's a captain America movie because Bucky is involved in it and the lengths that Steve goes through to help his best friend which also leads into the conflict with Tony.
I agree that Tony is allowed to be upset with finding out about his parents but actively trying to kill Bucky when he wasn't even in control of himself, meaning it wasn't really his fault. The fault is with Hydra, who programmed Bucky to be the winter soldier and ultimately their pawn so that's who Tony should really be after.
The scene with Tony asking Bucky if he even remembers them and him responding with i remember all of them is so sad because there's so much guilt in Bucky's voice as he says that line as it clearly affects him because of the things he had to do whilst as the winter soldier and he hates it because deep down he is a good guy.
I hate that Tony brought Peter into a battlefield filled with adults, he's literally a teenager, a minor plus he didn't tell him the complete truth on why he was there in the first place especially because peter was in danger because of the Sokovia Accords if they found out Spidermans identity.
The reason Bucky is going into Cryofreeze is so the Wakandans can figure out how to get the trigger words from Hydra out of his head which is totally understandable when he said he's afraid of his own mind and doesn't want to cause anymore pain or hurt and he also just wants to be free from Hydra having that control on him.
Despite what Zemo did to get his plan to work which included framing Bucky and triggering him into the winter soldier, I am very sympathetic towards Zemo because Tony created Ultron which created the destruction of Sokovia and in turn killing Zemos family. He had the smartest plan and he succeeded.
Tony's mindset on all of this and his reasoning behind it all is exactly how it was in the comic version. Tony was all for the Superhero Registration Act, because he was VERY concerned what would happen later without it, and in his mind it was better to get in on the ground floor and help guide it than to just be at its mercy (in the film he says "better to have one hand on the wheel than none). He's also persuaded by Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic) who does the math and shows that more heroes would survive and be able to help than if they all just went off on their own with no oversight.
In the film he also felt very guilty over his role in all of the events involving Ultron, and felt that if he could cause such devastation unchecked, how bad would it be with others who were more powerful than he was? He knew he was kind of a force of nature when it came to him having an idea and implementing it, and everyone who worked for him wouldn't tell him no because he's the boss, so... you can see why he thought that way.
As for bringing Peter in, he's the kind of guy who will use any tools at his disposal to achieve his goals, and he's been following Peter for a while so he knows what he's capable of handling. I highly doubt that he would have knowingly put the kid into REAL danger, and no one in the airport fight was actually trying to kill each other (except maybe T'Challa going after Bucky).
Also all the Avengers are portrayed as side characters with varying degree of importance. The story is about Cap’s actions: the avengers are either helping him (specifically Sam) or opposing him (specifically Tony and T’Challa).
This movie was based on a Marvel Comics event called Civil War. It was the same basic discussion. Do people with Super Powers have the right to use them as they like. It pitted not just the Avengers against each other, but the entire Marvel Comics universe. Fantastic Four, X-Men, Defenders, Avengers, Spider-Man. All teams were split in their beliefs. It was at this time that I actually stopped reading Marvel comics for awhile because I hated the heroes fighting heroes aspect. I've grown into accepting it, and I do understand it. They do a good job of explaining both sides of the issue. It shaped the Marvel Universe in the comics for at least a decade. This was a good adaptation using the continuity of the movies. It introduced Spider-Man into the MCU in a great way. Doctor Strange is going to be fun. Looking forward to your reaction. Do remember that after Avengers End Game (You've still got a few movies before that comes up) that they also start to incorporate Disney+ shows into the mix. I believe that is phase 4 and up. (Spider-Man: Far From Home is the last movie of the phase after End Game before the Disney+ shows start and actually the 2nd Spider-Man MCU movie after Spider-Man: Homecoming)
This one is def in my top 5 Marvel movies.
Such a good crazy one!!
Captain America is so my favorie, along with bucky 🤩
Yes ! Me too! Captain America side😂❤
Thanks for watching with us, Clara!! This movie was WILD!
Steve's argument against the Accords that the people in charge might not always be good can be turned around. Self-regulation works if the Avengers are good people, but what if some of them aren't so good? Not outright villains, but less heroic.
It's basically "Who watches the watchmen?"
The avengers are literally created by putting together the bravest and strongest individuals , no one is gonna allow a person with a different agenda . So yeah , steve's argument still holds true .
In the comics zemo goes by baron von zemo and he takes over as leader of hydra . Rimlo goes by crossbones and he along with red skull and zemo are caps greatest villains
@tktopmovies great reaction again. To me, this particular movie starts a major shift in the MCU. This i where these movies start getting even better and better. (Wait, dont we say that for all the movies?)
What is different in this movie, is how the roles change between Tony and Steve. Tony now becomes cautious, Steve bucks authority. If you notice in the beginning of the movie for instance, Tony i reading from a teleprompter. He would never have done that before. And Steve? He becomes a criminal. MCU, it never fails to disappoint.
An awesome what if series could be if that super soldier death squad got loose and took over earth😂
#TeamCap
👍
Team Cap all the way.
Civil War would easily be my favorite MCU if Avengers 3 and 4 didn’t exist. Even so, it’s not an easy call. Civil War is Avengers 2.5. Cap is the center point, but every Avenger has an important role, plus it introduces Black Panther and Spider-Man. It was fun seeing you surprised by Spider-Man. They decided the marketing of saying he was in it was more important than the surprise, so at the time no one was surprised, but pretty much everyone loved it.
LOVED seeing Black Panther and Spider man (And Ant Man) in this!!!!!
Seeing cap and iron man fight is kinda heartbreaking. This movie is so good, I’m with cap but I absolutely understand tony’s point of view.
Heartbreaking, right??!! Totally agree! Completely shocked us!
Also I love Zemo and also rip Chadwick
Zemo is so bad 😭😭😭
Team Cap. Cap is God's righteous man. Also, Doctor Strange is amazing.

Great reaction and it's one of the best MCU movies!
One thing: Before you get to the MCU Spider-Man movies - or at least before the 3rd one, Spider-Man: No Way Home - I strongly recommend watching the earlier Spider-Man movies. I don't want to spoil anything by telling you why, but you'll have way more appreciation for No Way Home if you have seen:
Spider-Man 1, 2 & 3 (Toby Maguire) and then
The Amazing Spider-Man 1 & 2 (Andrew Garfield)
Hey Bill!! Thanks for the heads up!! We loved the Tobey Maguire movies!! Classics! And it's been awhile since we've watched the Andrew Garfield ones, with Emma Stone as Gwen Stacey right?? We will have to refresh!
they have plenty of time for that, considering that phase 4 has TV series as well
Many people think "Endgame" is peak Marvel but for me it'll always be "No Way Home". Firstly because I hate Endgame (especially the ending) and secondly because I love "No Way Home" for... reasons.❤️
WAKANDA FOREVER!
Awesome reaction of my favorite Marvel movie!!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Thanks for watching and being here, Price!!! (:
It seems amazing that you're already in Phase 3! It seems like only a month or two since I came across your channel and started following your amazing journey.
Once you finish phase 3, you need to do some homework before getting into Phase 4! Prior to starting Phase 4, if you haven't watched them already, you need to watch the Sony Spider-Man films (three Toby Maguire movies, two Andrew Garfield Amazing Spider-Man films) and the whole Fox X-Men franchise in release order. Once you are done with those, you can continue the MCU journey with Phase 4 (also in release order).
Hey Peter!!! So happy you're here enjoying the MCU with us! Right?! These movies are flying by, we are looking forward to checking out Dr. Strange next! Ooooooh we LOVED the original Spiderman films!! Tobey Maguire, so good! Classic! We've never seen any X-Men, that would be cool to see! Thanks for the heads up!!

Agreed!!
Remember in winter soldier dr sola the guy in the computer show steve and natasha that hydra kill haward star so steve and natasha knew that hydra kill tonys parents he did not knew if was bucky
Oh wow right!!!!
Steve knew it was Bucky. On Zola's computer when they said "accidents waiting to happen" there was the Starks' "accident" shown followed immediately by a Winter Soldier photo. Also at the end of "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" Natasha gave Bucky's files from the time he was brainwiped, tortured and used as a weapon to Steve. So Natasha, Steve and mostly likely Sam (because I'm sure Steve showed those files to Sam too) knew The Winter Soldier killed Tony's parents.

So, this is the second time seeing Peter Parker in the movies XD The creators of Iron Man 2 have confirmed that the little kid in the Iron Man mask that Tony saves is a young Peter Parker. But yeah, this is an amazing movie, with some very powerful scenes and fantastic acting, but it is one that I genuinely have trouble re-watching because I hate the conflict between the Avengers. Though, I will say that I am 100% Team Captain America. There is accountability to be had, yes, but at the same time... Tony is acting out of fear and guilt, not out of conviction. I agree with Cap that you can't put yourself at the whim of politicians, because when you do... you become their puppet. But... you'll see more about that down the road.
Great reaction - did you notice the gov't official at the end was Bilbo Baggins? And Dr Strange is Smaug lol - no spoilers, but the MCU actually skips the serious aftermath of this movie and jumps to Infinity War - but then the Black Widow movie rewinds and shows us what it was like for these heroes during this disorienting time between Civil War and Infinity War - notice that Steve and Tony are basically on opposite sides now from where they'd each been in Avengers 1 re authority vs independence - good character development
- I thought MCU in Civil War handled the Q of superheroes integrating into society more deeply than the X-Men movies - serious questions raised - whose side would you be on if you were among those crowds on the ground, w all those buildings falling on you, instead of a viewer watching safely? Interesting that DC addressed this exact same question the same year as Civil War, w their Batman vs Superman
Who’s Bilbo?

I'm in Captain side in all aspects in this movie
Tony is probably my favorite avenger. That being said, as in ultron, n other times, in this one, he's proving yet again that he's kind of a hypocrite. He thinks he knows best, is always the smartest one in any room (which, he's probably almost always right, lol), n he fully believes, at least in each moment, that he's always right. His ego writes checks his ass can't always cash... this whole breaking down of the avengers started because Tony realized what damage HE caused to sechovia n the avengers' rep around the world, because he believed only he knew what was best n was able to do it, everyone else's opinions, wants or needs, be damned, n instead of just taking accountability for HIS screw up, n only as HIS screw up, n allowing a leash to be put only on himself, he decided everyone else should have to be punished as equal offenders, right along with him, n yet again, tried to force everyone to do what HE thought was the right thing, no matter how they felt about it, or at what cost. He chose for all of them, n decided they were criminals if they didn't wanna get with the program, n even led the fight against them, his closest friends n allies, helped capture n incarcerate them, n smugly imposed sanctions on them, when they were never in the wrong to begin with... n when he finally realizes HIS error, YET AGAIN, he decides it's suddenly ok again for HIM to break the accords AND the law... then, he discovers that bucky, having ZERO control of his own body OR mind, was literally forced to murder his own parents, suddenly, NO LAWS, ACCORDS, ETHICS, etc, mattered to him AT ALL, which he proves yet again, by trying his damnedest to MURDER bucky, IN COLD BLOOD, n had no inclination nor desire, whatsoever, to do the right or even just legal thing, ie, detain n deliver him to the proper authorities, to let the justice system to what it's designed to do... Tony, as much as I truly do love him (I probably am drawn to him most, cuz he's the most relatable... someone who wants to be n do good, do the right thing n see justice work, etc, but is imperfect, at times arrogant n short tempered, n feels that sometimes if he's not the one to get things done, they won't get done, n even if they do, they won't be done right, n he just really does mess up a lot, n have to apologize a lot, n sometimes, his obsessive need for fairness n justice, overrides his good sense, n causes him a lot of trouble n problems that he could have avoided. His hearts in the right place, but he has a big ass time delay between his head n heart, so, he acts on emotions, oftentimes, instead of acting based ONLY on logic n morality n ethically...
TEAM CAP FOR EVER
It’s not even a question if people would just think about for one second
@@Souphover exactly!!! Given the history alone!!
@@Brianpcomstock Tony was literally trying to kill an innocent man. People will say why don’t you do the same thing no I wouldn’t if I would be killing somebody who was under mind control It makes no sense
Now, if Bucky wasn’t being my control, I would completely understand. I wouldn’t think it was right, but I would do the same thing in that moment I would definitely be pissed at cap
@@Souphover let alone Tony was responsible for ultron like Bruce was even like uuuuuhhhhh no buddy boy
Cant wait for Avengers Infinity War!
Same
Same here!!!!
I have watched tons of these and women always pick Cap who turned his back on his friend to help an outlaw. But I wonder if I t was the hulk who did it if they would still feel that way or is it because cap is a Chad
Bro it’s essentially the same thing. If Cap had decided to not save Bucky or kill him he’d be turning his back on a friend that was always there for him. They choose Cap because most people would help their friend. Tony didn’t need help and was alright Bucky had the world government after him for stuff he didn’t do and stuff he literally had no choice doing. Plus that’s Cap character he would save anyone on the team and wouldn’t kill someone if he knew they were mind controlled unless he absolutely had to. In Buckys case he could be saved and it was shown that Bucky was still in there.
Tell me something , would you just stand and watch your best friend who's been with you since your childhood and had always supported you get killed for a crime he didn't even wanna do ? Bucky was tormented by hydra for decades , he got through the most pain in whole MCU.
Marvel fans tend to think winter soldier is the best movie. But I think civil war is in my top 5 marvel movies. And winter soldier is closer to 10 or lower
The shield is the govts property the title of Captain America is their creation
Do you think cap likes buckey I mean really likes buckey

YASSSSSSS🎉🎉🎉
Thanks for watching with us!!! (:
Everyone's either Team Cap or Team Iron Man. I'm Team Black Widow, the based fence-sitter
Here are some things you should know going forward. In the comic books during the civil war event which takes place later in the universe history Spider-Man plays a big part so that's why Peter was in this movie. Here are some basic power scalings. Comic book Captain America is around 4 tons. For the MCU Steve strength started off around 6 tons but he gets stronger with every appearance due to the fact if he does not constantly work out his super strength will leave him due to muscle atrophy. In this movie Steve strength was around 12 tons. With Bucky strength being 4 tons not including his metal arm which itself could lift a round 18 tons. Which doesn't compare to Spider-Man strength who is 10 times stronger than MCU Captain America right now who also gets stronger with every appearance and the only reason Captain America stood a chance with due to his experience while also carrying the vibranium equalizer his trusted shield.
Team cap all the way!!
Now doctor strange
We saw in winter soldier that goverment can be corrupt by enemies hydra so cap is rigth
So let me get this right. Your position is the equivalent to since there have been cases of dirty cops that abuse their positions of power, that means there should be no law enforcement. Is that right?
in this movie Nat said "technically it's a government property" and in The Falcon & The Winter Soldier, the government took the shield from the museum and gave it to someone, how do you feel if it was iron man's suits? and we know the government been craving for that suits since the 2nd iron man movie
@@dilf4097 The ownership of the shield is disputable. It seems to me that if Howard Stark was still alive, he'd be perfectly OK saying it belongs to Steve. But yes, it was created by the SSR (predecessor of SHIELD), so it could be argued that it belongs to the government, like other military equipment that is issued to soldiers.
But the Iron Man suit 100% belongs to Tony. No government agency invented that.
Cap is right, and Ross's actions prove him right. The first thing he does is try to hunt down and murder an innocent man. No investigation, no trial, no proof beyond a reasonable doubt. Then he puts three other men in prison with no trial. The Sokovia Accords basically say that if you can be considered a "superhero" - even one with no real powers, like Hawkeye - you lose your human rights.
The fact that Ross has been made secretary of state, instead of being arrested for his actions in the Hulk movie, is proof that the government is still corrupt.
@@PhilBagels alright dont get me wrong here, I'm on cap side. based on my previous comment, basically I was saying that we cannot trust the government. like cap said in this movie "government is filled with people with agenda and agendas change"
@@dilf4097 Yes, I understand that. I wasn't disagreeing with you. I was just adding some additional commentary, and I got a little long-winded. Some of the things that happen in some of these movies make me angry. (And now that I've said that, I guess it's mandatory that I say this: You wouldn't like me when I'm angry.)
I really hope the editing gets better before Infinity War/Endgame :(
we will eventually find out where thor and hulk are!
Oh god that movie🤮
@@Souphover gotta take it for what it is- the mcu isn’t perfect but it’s definitely moving the story forward with what’s ahead
After the MCU being serious we needed a few lighter movies
Should have watched winter soldier before Civil War
We are watching all of the MCU movies in release order! Here is our Winter Soldier reaction: th-cam.com/video/yfX9xT-sgMk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=G8YF2DQ1QDZ3daJp
RIP the legend chadwick boseman

Team iron man forever
React to FALL 2022 😍😍😍
When it came the accords, cap was definitely corect. When it came to Bucky specifically... I dont think I could make the mind control distinction about someone that killed my mom.
In the final fight , neither of them were wrong , they just let their emotions take control.
I'm team iron man
still with the blur? its unwatcheble for a person who struggles with focus and its a shame.
Ur blurring way to much
TEAM IRON MAN
Cap taking what Peggie said out od context is rich. Peggie is a founder of SHEILD....A GOVERNMENT AGENCY.
To all the Team Cap people here in the comments, how exactly are people like Wanda supposed to be acquitted of responsibility for the deaths in Lagos of she can't be charged?
Like, surely you agree there should at least be a hearing of some sort so that we can all agree that they're in the right.
Like, if I get a bunch of my friends together, fly to Lagos and end up in a fight with mercenaries in the street, surely we can't just accept a "nah, I made the right call, trust me" from me.
They were one big power move by Ross. He has always wanted his own super army, so the Accords were his best method for it. Look what happened with him and the Hulk. This is all you need to know about which is the correct side. The issue of accountability is a completely separate argument and how to implement it. The Accords were only about controlling power, and that would have been a VERY bad move, especially given how we know politics are today.
@@davidmacy411
This was not a response to my question,
You completely ignored my question and started talking about how General Ross is an asshole.
This is news to nobody. This is also not what I asked.
@@davidmacy411
Like, it seems to me that you're concerned about "controlling power" and how unreliable politics is.
But you know what's less reliable than power in the hands of governments? Power in the hands of *Private Military Corporations who can kill whoever they feel like.*
Ok. Team Cap here. I agree with you. There should be some sort of hearing/trial when something goes wrong. Wanda didn't mean for that to happen obviously but yes, she should have been questioned and judged. I just don't think these Accords are it but there's still laws to follow. By not signing the accords I don't think Cap meant they should get a free pass just because they are superheroes. He didn't sign because he wanted to be free to make the decision himself on who and when he can help. He was comforting Wanda when he told her it was an accident and not her fault. He wasn't her judge and jury.
I kinda disagree. It seems to me Cap was saying they should get a free pass. Even Frank Castle wouldn't go as far as saying he should just be *allowed* to do the things he does.
Sign the accords, acknowledge that their should be some means of holding you accountable and then, if something that's a big enough deal that they need to break the law comes up, simply break the law and do it illegally.
Basically, I'm Team Romanov. She was the only one being reasonable
Steve trying to murder Tony for being upset that Barnes murdered his parents will never not fill me with rage.
Cap was not worthy of Mjolnir.
Steve never wanted to kill Tony. He wanted to keep Tony from killing Bucky. Cap had the chance to kill Tony when Tony was on the ground. If he had done a Jogn EWalker, Tony would have been gone, but Cap only destroyed the reactor to keep Tony from chasing them.
Batman V Superman Dawn of Justice is better
Team Stark and Zemo
How are you on team stark he tried to kill an innocent man
So if you don’t watch the end credits scene you can watch Black Widow next but if you do it spoils Endgame
Lmao why would you want to see them watch black widow
It's much better to just watch everything in release order.
Steve on his dictator ish.
Steve is a TRASH a friend I was done with him after this u knew who MURDERED Tony’s family first years while they were fighting together and faking a friendship with Tony was beyond foul. It’s UP after that Tony asked that man to his face if he knew and he STILL LIED. Steve knew since The Winter Soldier movie who MURDERED Tony’s parents he knew it wasn’t an accident. What makes it worse it reveals his friendship to Howard Stark was FAKE as cuz how could go lie to Howard’s son Steve what kind of friend does that.
I disagree completely I’m a firm believer in what you don’t know won’t kill you there’s no point in telling him
Steve thought he was protecting Tony by not telling him. Isn't that what a friend does?
Steve knew that Hydra murdered Tony's parents but we have no idea when he learned it was actually Bucky that did it. For all we know, Bucky could've told him on the flight to Siberia, so he may have only known for a couple of hours. TBH it's likely that Black Widow and Nick Fury both knew for way longer than Steve did since they were both already aware of the Winter Soldier's existence before he was introduced in The Winter Soldier movie.
@@carlgibson285 dang I didn’t ever take that into account that he may just only found out recently
