Yes I feel like the ECU probably thinks oh no too much air not enough fuel so then it causes the lack of performance, you need to be quite gradual with the throttle otherwise it just sucks, literally! :)
Have you checked it is fueling right? I never found MPG to be an issue. I changed to a 4.6 final drive and it has been great, definitely a good choice. The poor response did my head in, so I went ITBs which solved that nicely. But the best part is the reliability. Unlike you, I rag mine on roads, take it to track days, then leave it sat unused for months, and I have never had a problem with it.
Yeah dude, fueling is fine, it's pretty normal, I feel it a bit more with myself currently in-between employment haha! ITBs would be such a good move but I think it's time for me to move on to something I'm more familiar with.
Definitely worth switching to a 4.3 final (between 250-400) or a 4.6 final (350+), any higher you'll need a diff cooler and it'll get tiring for daily.
Great vid man i just bought a rs200 I’m 18 so I don’t got much experience rn😂😂 mine runs rich and white smoke comes out the exhaust do you have any experience of that?
If it's white smoke, that's probably burning coolant. How you get the altezza? I just imported my rs200 in june. I drive it every chance I get. Love that car!
Replace the dual mass flywheel with a light weight one, a TRD or an equivalent if you can find one and put in the later 4.3 diff really helps these cars.
Bro tell me about it, I was looking for the facelift digital dash and centre tach and it's like 45,000 yen minimum and even then you have to pay an autospark £150 or so to correct the mileage! Crazy but I guess you have so much satisfaction owning such unique bits!
@@Drivinist i just want the cluster with the rpm gauge in the centre lol i was lucky enough to buy the car with the blitz supercharger kit and intercooler along with the power fc, work vsxx rims, 4-2-1 headers and a rare sti genome dual exit axleback exhaust that is usually fitted to subaru’s 😁 (too bad it wasn’t catback)
The G5 cluster is the most beautiful, don't know how to share the pictures, l have a modelista version altezza and also the cluster is nice but swapped it our for the digital one
Intake sounds amazing, i have an hks intake myself but sometimes i feel like im getting less performance

Had one for 10 years loved it. Little underpowered need more torque. Parts can be pricy

The 4.1 rear end in my 1999 is the one thing I would like to change.

@@Drivinist Is there a 4.6 out there?
@@criticalevent Yes there's even a 5.1 but its quite rare and definitely track use only
@@Drivinist Any suggestions on where one might find a 4.3? Was there ever an aftermarket one?
@@criticalevent it's the stock 2002+ in the RS200
Pls check your o2 sensor could be the cause of high fuel consumption

Yeah, a lightweight flywheel + the 4.3 and a premium japan throttle body would be the perfect 3 mods to liven the car up
Toda flywheel is the best for these
There is an Altezza 280T which was turbo'd from factory
Also very good video! :D
aw thank you so much for the kind words! YES they had the 280T totally forgot about that!
How much you after for it .?.
Did u get a tune for intake and exhaust?
No dude its stock ECU, I only changed the axle back, I still have all the cats.
tezza tax is a thing. Im still collecting parts for my car from 2016 til now 🤣

@@KadeBokota should make a vid on it
Love my 3sge-swaped xe10🎉like @divin3kag3242 said, just can’t stop collecting those part, simply too many versions
