My thoughts on the 3SGE Toyota Altezza after 5000 miles ownership

So I've been meaning to make this for a while, hopefully helps someone out! My own superb little Altezza gets a 8/10 score.

So I've been wanting to make this video since I bought my Altezza back in 2022 and I never had the time. I decided to make it last week and that was a total failure, anywho I ended up making a video in this style so I hope it's good enough for you!
Had to buy one of those 3 point strut bar
Replace the dual mass flywheel with a light weight one, a TRD or an equivalent if you can find one and put in the later 4.3 diff really helps these cars.
Yeah, a lightweight flywheel + the 4.3 and a premium japan throttle body would be the perfect 3 mods to liven the car up
Toda flywheel is the best for these

Intake sounds amazing, i have an hks intake myself but sometimes i feel like im getting less performance
Yes I feel like the ECU probably thinks oh no too much air not enough fuel so then it causes the lack of performance, you need to be quite gradual with the throttle otherwise it just sucks, literally! :)
There is an Altezza 280T which was turbo'd from factory

Hehe it's a must have for the Altezza, might sell if it I put the car back to stock before selling up!
@@Drivinist im looking at getting the apexi power intake with the heat-shield cover, sadly only like $100 difference but i can split into two payments with the intake being one and heat-shield being the other that makes it way more easily affordable in my case and still have the heat protection which is the big one with the 3sge altezza’s from what Ive read. did you notice any low end torque loss after the aftermarket intake install?
@@user-xd1zk8tm3q Apexi and HKS is a good shout this is hella expensive for what it is! The low end torque is the same, if i straight piped it then it would definitely lose a bit of torque at the bottom!
tezza tax is a thing. Im still collecting parts for my car from 2016 til now 🤣
Bro tell me about it, I was looking for the facelift digital dash and centre tach and it's like 45,000 yen minimum and even then you have to pay an autospark £150 or so to correct the mileage! Crazy but I guess you have so much satisfaction owning such unique bits!
@@Drivinist i just want the cluster with the rpm gauge in the centre lol i was lucky enough to buy the car with the blitz supercharger kit and intercooler along with the power fc, work vsxx rims, 4-2-1 headers and a rare sti genome dual exit axleback exhaust that is usually fitted to subaru’s 😁 (too bad it wasn’t catback)
The G5 cluster is the most beautiful, don't know how to share the pictures, l have a modelista version altezza and also the cluster is nice but swapped it our for the digital one
Me since 2017 and l am on my 7th Tezza. The moment I have everything I sell and start again 😂😂😂
