    I forgot to mention WHY I chose the MRP trumpets and that length.
    Numerous videos and shops have all concluded that the 95-100mm is the best length for the most power increase.
    MRP is well known for their quality and are transparent with the iterations of their products, and why they may have updated their designs.
    They were there when I needed answers to questions about the trumpets and always had reasons for their answers. I felt confident in the product.
    I found some independent test somewhere that did back to back tests of different velocity stacks and the MRP was the winner. This was put down to the particular funnel shape that they use.
    Some might argue that the results are so close it doesn't really even matter but if you can buy the best then why wouldn't you?
    They are made in NZ. thats reason enough
    They are one piece. Not welded.
    Hope that clears that up.

    Plastic ITB adapters act as a heat barrier, where as the metal one contributes to higher intake air temps. There's a reason the stock plenum uses a rubber isolator between it and the intake manifold.
    Remove the PCV valve, you have an aftermarket ECU to clean up any idle issues that may appear. Let that engine breathe!
    ITBs won't net any gain in power unless you run a propper plenum with air routed in from outside the engine bay. The hot engine bay temps will cause lower power, especially with our beams being a iron engine block. Speed academy did a dyno video on their s2000 build and you can really see the difference. Mighty car mods same, thing at the end of their V8 powered E30 video. You cna see the difference on the dyno.
    Also the blacktop 4age 20v ITBs are small for our engine. Think about it, it was made for a 1.6 liter engine, while the BEAMS is a 2.0 liter engine. Try and get some BMW 55mm itbs and have a machine shope create an adapter for you, or have them welded on the the stock manifold. Look at the driftworks Lamborghini build for inspiration.
    Delete the catalytic converters, and also have each of the exhaust runners welded on the manifold, outside where it meats the flange, and use a carbide burr to port the inside of the flange where the factory originally welded it. The factory sis a horrible power restricting job.
    Go 3 inch from the where the cats were all the way to the back of the car to maximize power.
    You should have some T-shirts made that says: "Dave, get it done!"
    It would really sell.

    • @GarageKei
      @GarageKei 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The sq engineering adaptor bolts to the isolator the same as OEM.
      So I'm not sure why you brought that up.

    • @GarageKei
      @GarageKei 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Pcv is not a breathing restriction.

    • @GarageKei
      @GarageKei 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I can't comment on power but I can say that different engines perform differently... You mentioned a bunch of engines that aren't this one.
      The premise of this was to use bolt on mods to make it easy.
      I have custom shit on other cars and I just couldn't be bothered on this one.
      This was supposed to be easy with off the shelf items that bolt on.

    • @GarageKei
      @GarageKei 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      simply looking at the size of the butterfly and then looking at the Port size on the actual engine I don't see a huge difference.
      The astronomical costs of the things that you're suggesting that I do wouldn't be worth it in my opinion.
      Get this custom welded to use this thing from a different car that doesn't line up.....
      Screw that. pay $1,500 and get a turbo kit that supposedly bolts straight on....
      Deleting the catalytic converters would make the car no longer roadworthy so that is not an option. I drive this car to the track and back. it's not a trailer Queen.
      GP sports catalytic converter cost more than toda cams.
      Plenty of other people told me that the catalytic converter won't be a massive increase in power so the cams are better bang for buck.

    Haha, this is the exact path i go down with literally everything aftermarket. Maybe 1 aftermarket thing fits, then you need to add or change 5 other things to make it work how you want. Let alone matching up 2 separate aftermarket bolts for a "Bolt on" solution.

      Hi, I believe it is possible to put itb's on a 4th gen .. but honestly I don't know that much about it.
      This link ECU was specifically designed for the altezza because the altezza uses a special system. I don't believe this system was used in any other car. So I don't think this will work with a fourth gen beams.
