2021 GLS 580 SUV • 2021 Mercedes GLS 580 ...
With luxury seating for up to seven, a new voice assistant, and a 483-hp Biturbo V8 with EQ Boost electrification, it's the S-Class of SUVs and then some. The 2020 GLS 580 SUV features a 4.0L V8 Biturbo engine with EQ Boost that makes 483 hp @ 5,500 rpm and 516 lb-ft @ 2,000-4,000 rpm torque, It has an eco start/stop system that automatically shuts off the engine at stoplights and other idle situations, to save fuel and reduce emissions. It has 4MATIC fully variable all-wheel drive which can automatically send from zero to 100% of the engine's torque to either axle, front or rear. A transfer case with a multi-disc clutch can vary the torque distribution based on the driving conditions in the moment.
The new GLS 580 has a 9G-TRONIC 9-speed automatic transmission with shift paddles and has a 5.2 sec 0-60 mph acceleration. This GLS 580 design offers AMG body styling - the muscular lines of the GLS 580 are further defined by a deep front apron with larger mesh grilles and fine chrome details, a diffuser-style rear bumper with black and chrome elements, and color-keyed fender flares.
The look of modern luxury
The largest SUV in the Mercedes-Benz family is also among the sleekest, thanks to flowing contours that please the wind as much as the eye. Rugged detailing like chrome bumper inserts underscores smooth elegance that continues all the way to the polished roof rails.
7-seat cabin configuration
Offering first-class comfort in all three rows has long been a hallmark of the GLS, a benefit of its spacious size and advanced suspension. The redesigned cabin enhances comfort for all aboard: The second row features standard power seats, increased legroom, and 40/20/40-split-folding seatbacks. The third row offers room for two adults, along with enhanced luxuries from climate to cupholders to charging ports. It also power-folds in a 50/50 split to increase cargo space.

How do you like the new key? It looks cheaper than the outgoing fob, does it still have a nice weight to it?
It is much lighter and smaller than the old one, which is a good thing...obviously. The new key fob is better feeling in quality than the old one. I compared it with my key fob.
They key could need an upgrade considering this SUV price tags. It’s lighter than the previous key.

The Head-Up Display projects a 9.5-inch-wide virtual image that appears to "float" several feet in front of the windshield. The high-resolution readout places useful information in the driver's natural field of vision, with minimal "eyes off the road." The large, full-color graphical display can show the next navigation instruction, driving speed, cruise-control settings and more. Its height adjustment is stored in the seat memory, while the display adapts automatically to ambient light.

If I were at this dealership, I would probably be sold on the vehicle since its Mercedes. But if this guy were the salesman and I was new to Mercedes, I would not be convinced and probably wouldn't buy.

@@BenjaminMutuku Well, the presentation seems a bit insecure. And when I say that I really don't mean that in a disrespectful way. But for example, you point out a lot of the luxury features which is great. But people that have owned Mercedes expect Luxury and usually know what they are getting for the money. In fact I think people who have never bought a Mercedes and are probably looking to buy one are expecting luxury also but more than likely are not gonna look at this model as a first time buyer. So although you are pointing out some new luxury features, there is no talk about options, cost, new safety features, comparison to other Mercedes Models such as the GLE or the AMG. The drive was very short, no mention on the opinion on how it drives, etc. Perhaps maybe you made a longer video and maybe I missed it, but this video just isn't very convincing. Its almost as if you go into a dealership and the salesman says, "ok here it is, do you plan to finance or pay cash?"

I actually liked seeing it at night: the lights reflecting on that black paint and front grill emblem. Plus it enhances the ambient lighting which is one of the biggest selling points.

Car salesman need to leave the car reviews to the TH-cam guys who do reviews for a living. Every car review video by a saleman is just a laundry list of obvious details....."...and here you have some buttons...and here you have two cup holders...and here you have a steering wheel...."
