Adagio is not a cover in the strict sense, Lara is the author of the lyrics, both in English and Italian. The music was born from a fragment by Tomaso Albinoni (1671-1721) from which the musicologist Remo Giazotto constructed the melody and harmony in 1958. Thanks 👍

The Adagio in G Minor is a neo-Baroque piece of music composed by the 20th century musicologist Remo Giazotto and said by him to be based on a fragment by the 18th century composer Tomaso Albinoni. This led the Adagio to be attributed by many people to Albinoni himself.

Lara is one of the very best of the best. I absolutely love her voice, her emotional outpouring. Another artist to consider reacting to is South Korean's So Hyang. The earliest version of the Instrumental Adagio dates back to 1685. The song has evolved & rewritten primarily in different keys. Lara was approached about writing lyrics to Adagio, and she responded “Have you lost your mind? That is an Italian classic”. She struggled a bit, but a friend of her encouraged her too stop over thinking, a brief mental exercise. Lara said the words began to flow. I have never heard of any other person writing lyrics other than Lara.
Hi, good reaction once again 👏👏. I really like both versions, the one of Lara and Dimash. In fact, I think both of them are the best voices and most versatile artists on our time. Greetings.
While she did not write the music she did write the lyrics in both English and Italian. Which version you prefer depends on which one you heard first. The official music video is also fascinating, with a series of statue actor's in an opera house, If I remember correctly.
I find the music video fascinating because it has art coming to life, which is basically what this song is about. Bringing art to life. It's a pleading to the god of inspiration, as Adagio, to never abandon her, that she'll always be waiting at the piano that plays. It's about the connection to the muse, to where music comes from. So I love the way the music video expresses that visually.
When she sang it in Italian, was the moment when a lot of people here in italy... Me included, started to love her, based on her magnificent voice and resonance. We didn't know a lot about her since.. Her Italian version is amazing, even if I do much prefer the English version.. That song is difficult to sing, requires a huge amount of breath control and dynamic and she is a masterclass on it, beside the passion and her interpretation that she put in anything she does so effortly. Amazing attention and color on every word and vowel, amazing the way she modulates on pitch after a long note on belting on a key switch.she doesn't breath for more than 20 seconds . Masterclass on technique. ❤
Her voice is so incredible, and the feeling and effort she put into the performance is amazing to watch ! Thank you Lauren enjoyed your reaction so much ,I look forward to the Dimash version !
You are so right, each song takes you on a different journey, but then again each song bears a different titles and therefore one must expect a different story each with its own moods and styles, etc. A lovely reaction Lauren of this absolutely wonderful artist. Thanks. ❤
Gracias!
You are a gem Lauren sweetheart, I think I love you. Most reactors are not respectful to the artist, interrupting the performance again and again or laughing and talking upon the artist's voice or closing their eyes or looking anywhere else but the video for several reasons though they are supposed to comment what they heard and saw. As for the vocal coaches they do their own mistake by talking mostly about vocal technics in detail and ignoring the emotions of the song as if we asked to become singers. You do the right thing, you first let the artist finish the performance and then you start your reaction. As you see I am not talking about Lara because she is out of the question as a human being as well as an artist. You deserve many more followers. I subscribed at once though I am not used to do so. Hugs. Greece ❤
Lara is an epic performer. Few singers in the world come close. Since you are doing some Diana Ankudinova reactions, why not try her version of Lara Fabian's "Tomorrow is a Lie" that she sang at 14 years old, or do both of them. Lara's version is obviously amazing, and although Diana sings it reasonably faithfully to the original and doesn't change it up too much, her version is somehow still unique and brings a different vibe - as with all her covers.
I would recommend any song from her "With Love From Lara " concert😢.(Love By Grace, You're Not From Here, Pedere d'amour, Quedate, Broken Vow, I Will Love Again, I Am Who I Am to name a few. I would also recommend the live performance of Barbra Streisand's Yentl Medley at the Molson Center in Montreal.
As noted, Lara co-wrote this piece and Dimash performed it as well..........in music terms, "adagio" refers to "slowly" ( as in a slower tempo ) ......
Extended note then change.. why did she do that? 😮Because she CAN😅! We ❤️ love our Lara! No theatrics like the cover that you will be watching next. Thank you for the video 🌺
Your understanding of the song is very unique and I concord with your insights. She had some overtones reminiscent of Celine but she is more enchanting than Celine IMHO.
You've stated after each of your reviews of Lara Fabian how much emotion she can put into a song and still maintain control of her voice. To get a gauge on how her fans feel about her, watch the video je t'aime live from Paris that has the lyrics below. Her divorce from a bad 6 year marriage was finalized the day before and her fans wanted to show their support for her. They arranged with the producer and pianist to allow them to sing the song to her but changing the "I love you" to "We love you". Talk about emotional! The ultimate reward for a performer!
@@pacscanadadatabaseservices3711 My apologies, it was a 6 year relationship resulting in a daughter. I used comments on another post without confirming all of the details.
@@243tarqui - No. You are confusing and conflating a host of relationships, personal and professional. LARA was not a mother at the time of this concert.
There are several different myths about what was going on in her life before this concert, they are myths. Everything from what you said to a friend dying, who didn't die until 5 yrs later. Her fans just love her. They knew her experience trying to break into America had gone badly, and they just wanted to express how much they love her. The Nue album and concert were her comeback after returning from America. This concert, From Lara With Love, was filmed to be distributed in America as part of that effort.
Lara wrote the lyrics on this old classic music composition in English and Italian. Lara writes often lyrics on her songs in more than one language and this in French, English, Italian or Spanish. She also sings, records and performs many of her songs in different languages ans switches with no effort. I myself prefer the Italian version of Agagio. Italian is a more colored language.

before Lara made a version with lyrics i think it was only instrumental. It's quite old by Albinoni and i think it may have been an opus that ....... Me: In 1999 Lara Fabian adapted Albinoni's famous piece and added lyrics, if i'm not mistaken usually this was covered as an instrumental by the past, and if someone added lyrics before Lara did, i think it wasn't widely broadcasted. When did Albinoni write this music? wasn't this unfinished work that Albinoni or someone else completed? ChatGPT The piece you're referring to is "Adagio in G minor," often attributed to Tomaso Albinoni. However, the actual history of this composition is quite interesting and a bit complex. Background of "Adagio in G minor": Original Attribution: The piece was originally attributed to Tomaso Albinoni, an Italian Baroque composer who lived from 1671 to 1751. Composition and Completion: The "Adagio in G minor" was purportedly reconstructed or composed by Remo Giazotto, an Italian musicologist, in the mid-20th century. Giazotto claimed to have based it on a fragment of a slow movement from a sonata by Albinoni, which he found in the ruins of the Saxon State Library in Dresden after World War II. However, there is some debate about the authenticity of this claim, and it is widely believed that Giazotto may have composed the piece himself, using the fragment as inspiration. Lara Fabian's Adaptation: Lyrics Addition: In 1999, Lara Fabian adapted the "Adagio in G minor," adding her own lyrics to the piece. This adaptation became quite popular and is one of the more famous versions of the piece with lyrics. Instrumental History: Instrumental Covers: Prior to Fabian's adaptation, the "Adagio in G minor" was indeed mostly known and performed as an instrumental piece. It has been a popular piece for string orchestras and has been used extensively in film scores, television, and other media. Unfinished Work: Albinoni's Fragment: The story goes that the work was based on an unfinished fragment by Albinoni. Giazotto claimed he found a small piece of manuscript, but the full composition as we know it today is largely credited to Giazotto's reconstruction or composition. In summary, while "Adagio in G minor" is often associated with Albinoni, it is actually a 20th-century creation by Remo Giazotto, inspired by a small fragment of Albinoni's music. Lara Fabian's version with lyrics added in 1999 is one of the more notable modern adaptations of this piece.
There is more then one song that both Dimash and Lara sang. some are almost identical, some a bit different. this song is better in Lara version but you know what to expect when reacting to Dimash version :)
For these songs, Lara is called the queen of emotional songsand if I may suggest, after Dimash, check out Floor Jansen's version as well.I really like the reaction, good luck in the future. th-cam.com/video/KZRHLLM6AU4/w-d-xo.html
The music was first written by Tomason Albinoni in the 18th century. I think Lara Fabian wrote the lyrics. Needless to say, the arrangement is heavily modernized.
Its her song, she wrote it and this performance is from 1999. Also nobody does it better, Lara has just a great warm voice and nobody is better in expressing emotions. Dimash on the other hand mostly is just showing off what he can all do with his voice, but on the other hand for me that feels mostly cold and emotionless, and also his voice often sounds even a bit shrill for me, what i don't like that much.
In yhere she doesn't go as high, as it usually makes the whole thing commercial. You can see she can, as for the piwer of the voice. She chooses not to, due to her outstanding musical taste.
As you like low female voices, I'd love to see your reaction and what you think of Portuguese Fado singer (Ana Moura) singing (Loucura - Live). Beijinhos Amara.

You should introduce your talk/stop show, as , welcome to talk and stop show, where the artist is doesn't matter. Lollol. Until next time stay well and poppin for fresh
This proofs again that you Americans know nothing about classical music. You should do your research. Adagio in G minor for strings and organ, also known as Adagio in Sol minore per archi e organo su due spunti tematici e su un basso numerato di Tomaso Albinoni (Mi 26), is a neo-Baroque composition often misattributed to the 18th-century Venetian composer Tomaso Albinoni. In fact the work was composed by a 20th-century musicologist and Albinoni biographer named Remo Giazotto. The piece was purportedly based on the discovery of a bass line by Albinoni in a manuscript fragment.
If I compare this version, Dimash version is more of a circus act. No art, just alot of gymnastics. Also bad english pronounciation. He gets away with to many things that's not pleasent to hear.
Her performance is better than the cover by Dimash … why ? Hers is much more ‘real’ ‘honest’ … not looking for extravagance and ‘effects’ . Dimash is a great singer (my opinion.
I discovered Lara last year and i was floored. The video or audio recordings of ADAGIO only have half the experience. That breath in the end is amazing , so suspenseful. Please do You’re hot from here next from the same concert
Every time I watch one of her videos I keep thinking she is singing only to me.............we all do ! W O W !
La merveilleuse Lara sublime !
Hi, good reaction once again 👏👏. I really like both versions, the one of Lara and Dimash. In fact, I think both of them are the best voices and most versatile artists on our time. Greetings.
During that concert She was blessed by the Gods, period !
React to "Broken vow" and "je t'aime" live in Paris it's magical
Meravigliosa ❤ Lara
I absolutely love Lara Fabian and have for over 20+ years, an incredible singer, who performs with such raw emotion.
Look lara fabian "yentl medley" live center Molson Montréal 1997 ❤❤❤
The voice ❤
Her voice is so incredible, and the feeling and effort she put into the performance is amazing to watch ! Thank you Lauren enjoyed your reaction so much ,I look forward to the Dimash version !
May I mention that for the recording of this TV Special, she had to sing most of the songs, if not all, TWICE.
You are so right, each song takes you on a different journey, but then again each song bears a different titles and therefore one must expect a different story each with its own moods and styles, etc.
A lovely reaction Lauren of this absolutely wonderful artist. Thanks. ❤
Gracias!

No words about this magnificent ARTIST. Not for nothing she is the Muse of Dimash. Please react to "BROKE VOW" , wonderful song. Tks & bye
Hugs. Greece ❤
I am glad you mentioned her perfect diction . The amazing thing is that her diction is clear no matter the language she uses.
Beautiful
I would recommend any song from her "With Love From Lara " concert😢.(Love By Grace, You're Not From Here, Pedere d'amour, Quedate, Broken Vow, I Will Love Again, I Am Who I Am to name a few. I would also recommend the live performance of Barbra Streisand's Yentl Medley at the Molson Center in Montreal.
great reaction queen lara and king dimash
NICE REACTION ON A WONDERFUL SINGER, BY THE WAY U LOOK GORGEOUS LOVE FROM DENMARK
And that, kids, is how you do it.
❤❤❤
Lara fabian a écrit les paroles d'adagio en anglais et italien
if you wanna hear her belting in a more rocky way, just watch " requiem pour un fou " with johnny halliday ( a french rocker ).... wowww time ;)
❤❤❤
You can watch Floor Jansen’s versión too, and compare the three, but live Dimash’s last.
I love the way you shrugged your shoulders when she sang Skiiiin
So amazing
Thanks from France !
Thank you for the video 🌺
next, lara fabian je t'aime please 🥂
She wasn't married. She has been married once, and that's to her present husband.
❤❤

Love Lara Fabian ❤
Love from Denmark ❤
I love your outfit!
before Lara made a version with lyrics i think it was only instrumental.
ChatGPT
The piece you're referring to is "Adagio in G minor," often attributed to Tomaso Albinoni. However, the actual history of this composition is quite interesting and a bit complex.
Background of "Adagio in G minor":
Original Attribution: The piece was originally attributed to Tomaso Albinoni, an Italian Baroque composer who lived from 1671 to 1751.
Lara Fabian's Adaptation:
Lyrics Addition: In 1999, Lara Fabian adapted the "Adagio in G minor," adding her own lyrics to the piece. This adaptation became quite popular and is one of the more famous versions of the piece with lyrics.
Instrumental History:
Instrumental Covers: Prior to Fabian's adaptation, the "Adagio in G minor" was indeed mostly known and performed as an instrumental piece. It has been a popular piece for string orchestras and has been used extensively in film scores, television, and other media.
Unfinished Work:
Albinoni's Fragment: The story goes that the work was based on an unfinished fragment by Albinoni.
Make sure to watch "the singer" version when you react to Dimash doing this! One of Ds earliest English performances for his Idol Lara
The original music is Tomaso Albinoni (1671-1751)'s "Adagio". ( th-cam.com/video/_eLU5W1vc8Y/w-d-xo.html )
👍❤️❤️❤️
# #GabrielHenrique ❤❤For your reaction, I suggest the talented Gabriel Henrique with the cover LOVE BY GRACE by Lara Fabian
After Dimash's version of Adagio you might want to try Floor Jansen's version as well, it stands alongside these two giants imo.

You should introduce your talk/stop show, as , welcome to talk and stop show, where the artist is doesn't matter. Lollol. Until next time stay well and poppin for fresh
Eh what?
In other words. You talk to much, and you stop the video to much. It takes away from the video, and reaction. One forgets what they're watching

Mindblowing performance!!!
I'm planning on it! I was told though, that it was Lara's first, so I wanted to see her version before moving on to his cover
Listen to Gabriel Henriquez 😊DiMaggio.
I tell you what: in other places on this planet most people would not know...
She's Canadian, a native speaker. ... why is prased for English, like 5years old ??! ..ohh..
I discovered Lara last year and i was floored. The video or audio recordings of ADAGIO only have half the experience. LIVE is the real deal, for sure
She certainly have the best voice in the world, from Opera to dance pop, a trained Soprano master. Ad to that her incredible stage presence, body language and facial expressions.
This is one of the better Reactions i have seen and analysis. You have alot of material to enjoy, and a great journey ahead of you.
My favorite of ADAGIO and go to is however the one i will link below. Elegance, Angelique , Power , (dress/chair), facial expression, body language.
