She wrote the lyrics in english and in Italian which is one of her nartive languages.the other one being french. She's breath taking. She's fluent in spanish too.

I absolutely love Lara Fabian and have for over 20+ years, an incredible singer, who performs with such raw emotion.
The earliest version of the Instrumental Adagio dates back to 1685. The song has evolved & rewritten primarily in different keys. Lara was approached about writing lyrics to Adagio, and she responded “Have you lost your mind? That is an Italian classic”. She struggled a bit, but a friend of her encouraged her too stop over thinking, a brief mental exercise. Lara said the words began to flow. I have never heard of any other person writing lyrics other than Lara.
While she did not write the music she did write the lyrics in both English and Italian. Which version you prefer depends on which one you heard first. The official music video is also fascinating, with a series of statue actor's in an opera house, If I remember correctly.
I find the music video fascinating because it has art coming to life, which is basically what this song is about. Bringing art to life. It's a pleading to the god of inspiration, as Adagio, to never abandon her, that she'll always be waiting at the piano that plays. It's about the connection to the muse, to where music comes from. So I love the way the music video expresses that visually.
When she sang it in Italian, was the moment when a lot of people here in italy... Me included, started to love her, based on her magnificent voice and resonance. We didn't know a lot about her since.. Her Italian version is amazing, even if I do much prefer the English version.. That song is difficult to sing, requires a huge amount of breath control and dynamic and she is a masterclass on it, beside the passion and her interpretation that she put in anything she does so effortly.

Since you are doing some Diana Ankudinova reactions, why not try her version of Lara Fabian's "Tomorrow is a Lie" that she sang at 14 years old, or do both of them. Lara's version is obviously amazing, and although Diana sings it reasonably faithfully to the original and doesn't change it up too much, her version is somehow still unique and brings a different vibe - as with all her covers.

You are a gem Lauren sweetheart, I think I love you. Most reactors are not respectful to the artist, interrupting the performance again and again or laughing and talking upon the artist's voice or closing their eyes or looking anywhere else but the video for several reasons though they are supposed to comment what they heard and saw. As for the vocal coaches they do their own mistake by talking mostly about vocal technics in detail and ignoring the emotions of the song as if we asked to become singers. You do the right thing, you first let the artist finish the performance and then you start your reaction. As you see I am not talking about Lara because she is out of the question as a human being as well as an artist. You deserve many more followers. I subscribed at once though I am not used to do so. I would recommend any song from her "With Love From Lara " concert😢.(Love By Grace, You're Not From Here, Pedere d'amour, Quedate, Broken Vow, I Will Love Again, I Am Who I Am to name a few. I would also recommend the live performance of Barbra Streisand's Yentl Medley at the Molson Center in Montreal.

There is more then one song that both Dimash and Lara sang. some are almost identical, some a bit different. this song is better in Lara version but you know what to expect when reacting to Dimash version :)
As noted, Lara co-wrote this piece and Dimash performed it as well..........in music terms, "adagio" refers to "slowly" ( as in a slower tempo ) ......

Her divorce from a bad 6 year marriage was finalized the day before and her fans wanted to show their support for her. They arranged with the producer and pianist to allow them to sing the song to her but changing the "I love you" to "We love you". Talk about emotional! The ultimate reward for a performer!

There are several different myths about what was going on in her life before this concert, they are myths. Everything from what you said to a friend dying, who didn't die until 5 yrs later. Her fans just love her. They knew her experience trying to break into America had gone badly, and they just wanted to express how much they love her. The Nue album and concert were her comeback after returning from America. This concert, From Lara With Love, was filmed to be distributed in America as part of that effort.
Its her song, she wrote it and this performance is from 1999. Also nobody does it better, Lara has just a great warm voice and nobody is better in expressing emotions. Dimash on the other hand mostly is just showing off what he can all do with his voice, but on the other hand for me that feels mostly cold and emotionless, and also his voice often sounds even a bit shrill for me, what i don't like that much.

If I compare this version, Dimash version is more of a circus act. No art, just alot of gymnastics. Also bad english pronounciation. He gets away with to many things that's not pleasent to hear.

Adagio in G minor for strings and organ, also known as Adagio in Sol minore per archi e organo su due spunti tematici e su un basso numerato di Tomaso Albinoni (Mi 26), is a neo-Baroque composition often misattributed to the 18th-century Venetian composer Tomaso Albinoni. In fact the work was composed by a 20th-century musicologist and Albinoni biographer named Remo Giazotto. The piece was purportedly based on the discovery of a bass line by Albinoni in a manuscript fragment.
Her performance is better than the cover by Dimash … why ? Hers is much more ‘real’ ‘honest’ … not looking for extravagance and ‘effects’ .
Dimash is a great singer (my opinion.
I discovered Lara last year and i was floored. The video or audio recordings of ADAGIO only have half the experience. LIVE is the real deal, for sure
She certainly have the best voice in the world, from Opera to dance pop, a trained Soprano master. Ad to that her incredible stage presence,body language and facial expressions.
