    A most magnificent but realistic and intimidating Force. If I wasn't doing an ACW diorama for the forseeable future I would do one of the tragic and horrific, but beautiful ( from a distance ), Yorkshire Bluecoats' most incredible last stand at Naseby. Beautiful flags too.

      Cheers mate. Glad you like them. And that would be really cool to see. Have been tempted to start a royalist force lately but as my mate has recently started kn dont wanna step on his toes. 😁👍

      @@MillersMiniatures Just don't tell him maybe. Then when ready for action and TH-cam surprise him. I shall delete this comment in 10 minutes so he doesn't see. Lol One should always have both armies if possible so then you could do temporary historical battle dioramas for TH-cam ( like me ). It is the noblest of visual art forms. Monuments to human and animal magnificence and suffering. All other visual art is trivial in comparison. Devotional and unremunerated and unrecognised. Museums hate truth and reality. We must dispel any p c Bullshit by creating such profound events in all of their horror and beauty. I consider that I have defined what visual art should be. I have also created it. See my channel.

    Lovely looking army there, the drumming in the showcase makes it very atmospheric. Have a soft spot for ECW but the idea of all those pikes puts me off. One day, one day...

      She was the drummer in the regiment I used to be in. Very great full for her doing it.

    Lovely army and thanks for sharing. I am organising the figures to do a Covenanter army for pike & shotte and a similar sized royalist force. Like the rules and how they play. Keep up the awesome work.

    Very nice , I have got may hands full with producing royalist, parliamentary and Covenanter armyies .it's great seeing other reenactment members still working at producing armies . I was in the ECWS for years fighting with Colonel John Foxes regiment here in Birmingham.

      Sounds great to me mate. You got a channel? Would love to see what you've got done. Very tempted to do some royalist at the moment. Either that or do ECW in a smaller scale like 6 or 10mm. Thats great to here you were in the ECWS. I was in Weldons. Then moved to Fenwick when weldons got to small.

    One of the Eastern Association regiments at Marston Moor was described as the bluecoats with the bloody colours. BTW, I thought Montagu's had white flags with red diamonds on them?

    • @MillersMiniatures
      @MillersMiniatures  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Your not wrong mate, Crawfords regiment are described as this at marson Moor and its not sure weather its them or horbats. Also I know that the ECWS have the white with red dimonds but there's different source that say they had blue with white and then all the sites such as flags of war, GMB , and warlord games all sell purple with white. The thing is that there's so many different conflicting sources and texts that say different things that noone really knows. And the period isn't as black and white as say the napoleonic period where we we know the colours of the uniforms and the colours they carried. So there a bit of artistic licence to the period but I will always try and be as close to historically accurate as I can. Other than that I hope you like the army. 😁👍

      @MillersMiniatures  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Haha I didn't realise you had a ECW army. And tbh I don't think I would ever get to use them all in a game. But it's q force I will always add to and won't ever ge trip of where as we all have armys or projects where we do so much and then go yer I think that's enough but this won't be the case for me with this army. But now thanks to you and Ste I have about 10 tabs open of all different manufacturers of Italian war stuff 🤣👍

      @@MillersMiniatures good luck with the Landsknechts mate... to be honest they were a lot easier to paint than I thought they'd be. Yes, I painted up a Warlord starter Battalia during first lockdown, plus some cannons. I thought it was an army, but I suppose the clue was on the box...
