This is an ancient Mexican folk song that was born from a mix of a poem and indigenous music and tradition. It´s commonly played on The Day of the Dead. Three generations of Mexican female singers. Angela comes from a long line of singers, Natalia come more from pop and Aida is typical mexican music. Each are highly respected. You can find versions of the song in several indigenous languages.

My favorite version of this song is by Lila Downs, a Oaxaca singer, specifically the live version from Bellas Artes in Mexico City. She sings it differently every time, but this is my favorite version by far.
There are also versions in the Mayan and Aztec languages.

Aida Cuevas! She is amazing!! She had a very strong relationship with Juan Gabriel. He Baptized one of her son’s which made them “Compadres” She was the only singer to sing at his memorial service held in Bellas Artes. when he passed away. He wrote many songs for her. Reacting to her would be amazing to watch.

-Great reaction, my friend 🙂 I LOVE Natalia, but my favorite in THIS performance has to be Aida. When SHE came in, I listened in a different way. Any artist that can demand and command my attention will have my immediate respect and love. But all 3 are amazing in their own way here. And I have to say OF COURSE, right ?? Extremely highly accomplished singers all of them. And for good reason 🙂 Love from Norway ♥♥♥♥♥

Llorona means "Weeping lady". She comes from a very ancient legend. It is about a woman that lost her children. This is one of the most loved traditional mexican songs. It is played in Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead), an ancestors celebration in November 2th.

Xunca is a word of zapoteco origin. Zapoteco is an indian people in Mexico. They live in Tehuantepec Isthmus, in Oaxaca mexican State. Xunca is the way to call the smallest girl born to a family. It is a very loving and dearing way to call a girl. The word is full of love.

This is a very traditional old folk mexican song. In this video you can see three generations of mexican women singers, and each one is hugely popular. Llorona is a weeping lady. It`s the main character of an old legend. She is a symbol of death: a mother that had lost her children. And this is a very loved song not only in Mexico, but in Latin America.

"La Llorona" is one of the saddest songs you can find. The rhythm of this piece is much, but much slower than what you just heard. It is not a sadness and despair and sorrow like that of Britten war requiem, this is more like when you exhale a silent crying, alone, throughout all night long. Read what the lyrics say and imagine yourself and your guitar singing this. Kisses from Mexico, I'm subscribed to your channel ... I adore your work!
You came out of the temple one day, Llorona,
I saw you when you passed,
You came out of the temple one day, Llorona,
I saw you when you passed,
A beautiful dress you wore, Llorona,
I thought you were the Virgin
A beautiful dress you wore, Llorona,
I thought you were the Virgin
Everyone calls me 'the black', Llorona
    Black but loving
Everyone calls me 'the black', Llorona
    Black but loving
I am like the green chili pepper, Llorona
    spicy, but tasty
I am like the green chili pepper, Llorona
    spicy, but tasty
(What it is) sorrow and what is not sorrow, Llorona
    Everything is sorrow for me
(What it is) sorrow and what is not sorrow, Llorona
    Everything is sorrow for me
Yesterday I cried to see you, Llorona
And Today I cry because I saw you
Yesterday I cried to see you, Llorona
And Today I cry because I saw you
Alas, Llorona, Llorona, Llorona of sky-blue
Alas, Llorona, Llorona, Llorona of sky-blue
Although it costs me my life, Llorona
I will not stop loving you
Although it costs me my life, Llorona
I will not stop loving you
I climbed to the highest pine tree, Llorona,
To see if I could spot you
I climbed to the highest pine tree, Llorona,
To see if I could spot you
As the pine was so gentle, Llorona,
At seeing me cry, it cried
As the pine was so gentle, Llorona,
At seeing me cry, it cried
From the sea came a letter, Llorona,
That the mermaid sent to me,
From the sea came a letter, Llorona,
That the mermaid sent to me,
And in the letter she said to me, Llorona
Whoever has love also has pain.
And in the letter she said to me, Llorona
Whoever has love also has pain.
    Alas!, Llorona, Llorona,
Llorona take me to the river,
    Alas!, Llorona, Llorona,
Llorona take me to the river,
Cover me with your shawl, Llorona
Because I am dying of cold.
Cover me with your shawl, Llorona
Because I am dying of cold.
They say that I don't mourn, Llorona
Because they don't see me cry.
They say that I don't mourn, Llorona
Because they don't see me cry.
There are dead that do not make noise, Llorona,
And their pain is much greater!
There are dead that do not make noise, Llorona,
And their pain is much greater!
    Alas!, Llorona, Llorona,
    Llorona of yesterday and today.
    Alas!, Llorona, Llorona,
    Llorona of yesterday and today.
Yesterday I was a marvel, Llorona
And today I'm not even a shadow.
Yesterday I was a marvel, Llorona
And today I'm not even a shadow.
I don't know what's in the flowers, Llorona,
    The flowers from the cemetery,
I don't know what's in the flowers, Llorona,
    The flowers from the cemetery,
When they are moved by the wind, Llorona,
    they seem to be crying
When they are moved by the wind, Llorona,
    they seem to be crying
    Alas!, Llorona, Llorona,
    You are my sweetheart,
    Alas!, Llorona, Llorona,
    You are my sweetheart,
They'll stop me from loving you, Llorona
    But never I'll forget you.
They'll stop me from loving you, Llorona
    But never I'll forget you.
To a holy iron Christ [Crucifix], Llorona,
I told to him my sins.
To a holy iron Christ [Crucifix], Llorona,
I told to him my sins.
Which would not be my sorrows, Llorona,
    that the holy Christ wept?
Which would not be my sorrows, Llorona,
    that the holy Christ wept?
    Alas!, Llorona, Llorona,
    Llorona of a lily field,
    Alas!, Llorona, Llorona,
    Llorona of a lily field,
He who doesn't know love, Llorona,
    doesn't know what martyrdom is.
He who doesn't know love, Llorona,
    doesn't know what martyrdom is.
I carry two kisses in my soul, Llorona,
    that will never leave me,
I carry two kisses in my soul, Llorona,
    that will never leave me,
The last one from my mother, Llorona,
and the first one I gave to you.
The last one from my mother, Llorona,
and the first one I gave to you.
    Alas!, Llorona, Llorona,
    Llorona, take me to see,
    Alas!, Llorona, Llorona,
    Llorona, take me to see,
The place where all love is forgotten, Llorona,
    and suffering begins.
The place where all love is forgotten, Llorona,
    and suffering begins.
Lift up your eyes and look, Llorona,
    There in the dark sky,
Lift up your eyes and look, Llorona,
    There in the dark sky,
    a star that glares, Llorona,
    and sadly sighs,
    it's Venus that withdraws, Llorona
    jealous of your beauty.
They say that the first love, Alas Llorona!
    is great and true,
They say that the first love, Alas Llorona!
    is great and true,
but the last love is better, Alas Llorona!
    and greater than the first.
but the last love is better, Alas Llorona!
    and greater than the first.
Don't think that because I sing, Alas Llorona!,
    my heart is joyful.
Don't think that because I sing, Alas Llorona!,
    my heart is joyful.
One also sings from pain, Alas Llorona!,
    When one can not cry!
One also sings from pain, Alas Llorona!,
    When one can not cry!
I love you because I like it, Llorona,
and because I feel like it.
I love you because I like it, Llorona,
and because I feel like it.
I love you because it emerges, Llorona,
from the inside of my soul.
I love you because it emerges, Llorona,
from the inside of my soul.
If because I love you, you want, Llorona,
you want me to love you more.
If because I love you, you want, Llorona,
you want me to love you more.
If I have already given my life to you, Llorona,
What more do you want?, You want more?
If I have already given my life to you, Llorona,
What more do you want?, You want more?
If because I love you, you want, Llorona,
That you want me to die.
If because I love you, you want, Llorona,
That you want me to die.
Let your will be done, Llorona,
let me die so someone else lives.
Let your will be done, Llorona,
let me die so someone else lives

"you were leaving the church one day, you weeping one, when I saw you passing by. A beautiful shawl you wore, Llorona, so that I mistake you for the Virgin. If because I love you you love me, llorona, do you want me to love you more... If I have given you my life, Llorona, and you want me to give you more, what more do you want? Oh, woe for me Llorona, you are my joy, my mistress. They might make me stop loving you Llorona, but to forget you, never. I don't know what's about the flowers on the cemetery, that when the wind swings them, Llorona, they look like they are crying. Oh, woe to me, Llorona, in sky blue, Even if it costs my life, Llorona, I won't stop loving you.

Aguilar has a soul/gospel style that is out of place, but she has a media machine behind her, so here she is. It’s a nepotism thing. She honestly can’t hold a candle to the other two. So yeah, the most outstanding part of her performance is her in-ear monitors.

Hello from Kazakhstan! You seem to have missed something about Dimash! his official song "Screaming". This song has 3 performance versions, the first is an official video, the second is a performance in China, and the third is an “idol hits” performance. We are really looking forward to your reaction, and as always it will surprise you very much, so get ready in advance)))

"Llorona, tú eres mi chunca" means: "Weeping lady, you are my "niña amada/pequeña niña amada". You are my loved girl or my little loved girl. Chunca is a word from the ancient native language: Zapoteco. This language is still live in Tehuantepec isthmus. Llorona is a zapotecan old song.
