This is a love song based on the legend called La Llorona. La Llorona is a legend about a tragic love that ended with death, tragedy and a haunting. So as many things in Latin America history becomes legend, legend becomes myth and there you have a love song based on a haunting.
La llorona is probably one of the most famous folk mexican song. Many great artists have performed this song but this 3 amazing, quite different voices are spectacular.
there's a little misunderstanding with this song. LA LLORONA (weeping lady) is a popular legend about the ghost of a woman that drowned her children ...but the song is not about that Llorona, but a story about a couple from Oaxaca (center Mexico) separated by the Revolution war: Before the man went to war, the woman was crying because she may will not see her man again. He took his woman in his arms and wiped her tears, calling her "llorona". He promise her to return in life or death. the man did not returned, but a friend of his told her wife that he died due to enemy fire, and prior to his death the spouse asked that friend to tell her how he was sorry not to return, and to pass her a letter with his thoughts. That letter is supposed to be the lyrics of the song Is a regional legend, and it might be prior to that date (maybe even prehispanic), but the main theme is the same: a letter from a man to his spouse in time of war

Honor a quien honor merece, Aida Cuevas.
The story of this song was described in some other comments. “La Llorona” song comes from the Istmo de Tehuantepec (some place of Oaxaca). In the past Andres Henestrosa, a mexican writer, made a compilation of all the verses of this song (more than 1 hundred), because the song was added many times. The original song is in zapoteca language, and is beautiful, with the sound of the words in this original native language. Great reaction my friend, greetings
I believe when Angela Aguilar sang this she was 15. Her father is also a famous singer Pepe Aguilar. This was an amazing performance for an old song. It actually comes out in the movie Coco too.
One of my all time favorite songs. Its so beautiful yet haunting and somber. Chavela Vargas is still my favorite version. "Paloma Negra" is another favorite of mine. Songs where you can hear the pain and feelings and that many can connect with at times.
I absolutely love this song and this performance. Angela and Natalia have beautiful voices. But the second Aída opens her mouth, I get goosebumps and the tears flow.
La llorona is a very famous folk Mexican song and many artists interpret it in their own special way anyone can perform it however and with whatever twists and turns they want which makes it so beautiful❤ I recommend listening to other versions by differnt artists Angela Aguilars version is very beautiful and many people on the voice have put their own very unique spins on this song which is very beautiful
The traditional Mexican song are sing by a lot of singers, men and woman, this song La llorona is a traditional Mexican song, Aida Cuevas sing a lot with Mariachi, Natalia could sing traditional song and more pop, and Angela came from a very famous family,
This is an old song, beautiful. They are best of the best Mexican artist, so powerful and beautiful voices. You will enjoy, I am sure. Great reaction! ❤
The song, La Llorona was written by a poet named Andres Henestrosa well it's attributed to him anyway ❗ .... and it was written in 1920 or 1930 ❗... He lived in Mexico City ❗
You’re right one of the most traditional songs in all and old Mexico!! The versus comes from an anonymous letter of a revolution where a soldier writes to his love and dies in battle
La Llorona is an old mexican song of popular domain, originated in the area of the Itsm of Tehuantepec, Oaxaca, performed by so many singers through the times, however I strongly recommend to you to listen the version of Lila Downs.
La Llorona is a very important song in Mexico, it is an urban legend and the whole country has a special affection for the song, it is even the only non-original song that Disney included in the movie COCO
My dad used to dedicate this song to le cause I was such a crybaby! Llorona means crier or crybaby. I used to hate it, now that he is gone, I love this song so much!! Wish he was around to sing it to le even if it is out of tune!❤
The one you said who looks really young is Angela aguilar. She's the daughter of a famous Mexican artist pepe aguilar. She's definitely got a lot of potential since her voic3 is already amazing in a young age.

They sing their own version combined, the original song, I think is the one by Aida Cuevas, but yes the original LLorona is a woman who drowned her children, and then she cries along a river because of what she did.
The glitter is typically just like a body glitter or body spray that women use to achieve a glowing or glittering complexion very common if you want to sparkle in the light 😂 ✨✨
The folk tale about "la llorona" (the crying woman is the translate) is about a woman that cries for her lost childrens longside the rivers, when you hear her cries near she is far away, if you hear far is because is near you... Some people says that she was the Malinche or Malitzin, a woman that have bean tributed to the spanish conqueror Hernán Cortés from Mayas, he uses her knowledge, to understand costums, make aliances with enemy villages of the Aztec empire, then, when te empire fall, the couple have childrens, and people looks her as a traitor (but she was more like a slave, an object). In the song, is a deadly erotic meeting with her, in the "campo santo" (graveyard) and the air is mooving the flowers, you ask her to hug you because you be cold, a company in the pain, is more in the song but you can do an idea. Because is folk song, there is not a singer that owns it, I have told you, that in folk and traditional songs are other groups and sounds, unfortunately, this performance is good but not the traditional sounds, however, the voice of Aida is the kind of voice for this songs.
Please consider reacting to a Finnish singer called Chisu. Specifically the song Sabotage. She has an amazing voice and I'm pretty sure she writes and produces her songs herself.
Pronunciation Aguilar (Ah gee lar), Llorona (Yo ro na). La Llorona (The Weeping Woman) This is an old song from around 1941, there is no known composer. There are tons of versions of this song sung by many artists. The story of the weeping lady is a tragic story about a woman that drowned her children in a jealous rage after finding out her husband cheated on her. It is said that she roams bodies of water mourning her children.
the song is actually about how a man fell in love with a mourning lady going out of the church after mass at first sight, and all his feelings about it.... No relation to the Llorona myth...

Hi brotha you should watch llorona Angela Aguilar video you will love it just like this
Angela was 16 years old at the time.
And it's pronounced "Yorana"
Pronunciation Aguilar (Ah gee lar), Llorona (Yo ro na). La Llorona (The Weeping Woman) This is an old song from around 1941, there is no known composer. There are tons of versions of this song sung by many artists. The story of the weeping lady is a tragic story about a woman that drowned her children in a jealous rage after finding out her husband cheated on her. It is said that she roams bodies of water mourning her children.
You are wrong is anoche story in the song is about lost love
