The lawsuits are directed the wrong way. Boyce Hydro was negligent by not upgrading the dams with proper sized emergency spillways.

They are just trying to "break" property owners... As soon as they acquire all the land at a smoking deal? lakes will appear..

    • @kdmigloo

Just a government backed land grab attempt.

One must hope all will recover from this catastrophic event however, who allowed the water level to be raised in May of 2020, just before the "once in 500 year rainfall??

When do they normally raise it ? If lowered and then try to raise it would not be filled by end of summer.

This newscast indicates it’s three years later, but in all fairness, this is our fourth summer (20, 21, 22, and 23) without our water. And another year is expected totaling five. So glad I decided to retire to a “lake” but in all actuality, live on a “liver” (river+lake). Dear Harry, who’s responsible?

Be happy that you are able to retire. Social security will be gone when the next generation comes to that time. Young people got the shaft. And on top of that people downstream including some of my family lost every in that flood, and your complaing about no water
      Get over it

The dams are being repaired. We ARE NOT filling back yet. Another year+ before we get there.

I hope Sanford recovers. Also hope there’s a big festival when the lake reopens.
