Mold will still grow in a vacuum like in a vacuum sealed mason jar or vacuum sealed bag..One thing to bring up in this video might also be : if you are getting a tea that is off your shelf from a long time to look and smell for mold. Thanks for your awesome videos!!
Not very likely and you can take steps to minimize chances bringing them close to zero. For example, make sure to squeeze as much air as possible from a bag before sealing. Mold still needs oxygen to grow.
@@marcustulliuscicero2676 Mold doesn’t need much oxygen to grow..Mold will grow in a vacuum…Mold grows in space even..Squeezing the air out of the bag is not close to vacuuming and it still won’t stop mold..

The Teas shelf life and quality has been explained properly. Its good to have many teas that are good for health and for the environment. PLDT SME Nation..thank you.
What amount of tea is a good sample size to try new teas without wasting much? I’m looking to try new teas without wasting so much due to expiration. I drink about 1 cup of tea per day and looking to drink more
The sample sizes that we offer at Treasure Green Tea Company are about 20g of tea. Using about 5g of tea per serving, it's a great way to try it 4-5 times.
We don't carry either of those teas but as long as the herbal teas are stored in a cool, dry, and ideally air-tight bag or container, they should stay fresh for about a year.
Hi Delicia! If your tea has been stored in an air-tight package in a cool, dry place then your tea should be fine to consume. It may, however, have lost some of its aroma or flavour from the time.
I had my chamomile tea bad sealed one for around 3 years in my cupboard. I bought it in may 2020 and it has expiry date of 18 months. So its 2023 june, can I have it this time?
Depending on which store the tea is from, the expiry date can vary. If it says June 2023 on your package, you can still enjoy it! We usually recommend storing flower tea in the fridge to prolong its freshness, especially if pesticides aren't used. Give it a try, and if it tastes off, maybe it's time to get a new batch! Happy drinking!
Hi Alex, great question! It will come down to aroma and flavour. If it is still fresh, the dry tea leaves will carry a strong aroma and when steeped, it’s flavour will be strong and persistent. If either the scent or flavour is dull or stale, it is likely time to go!
Hi Pawarisa, 4-5 years is on the longer end. However, if you've kept it in a dry, cool place, they may be ok. Take a look and smell of the leaves. You'll want to make sure it smells fragrant and is vibrant in colour.
Hi Anna, it will depend on your storage. If you've kept it in a dry, cool place, take a look and smell of the leaves. You'll want to make sure it smells fragrant and is vibrant in colour.
Hi Prateeksha! Most green teas keep well for a few years if stored in a cool and dry place. If you find the leaves are dull and discoloured, then it likely has lost its aroma and benefits.

Do you know about herbal teas like hibiscus tea? Orange? How long do they stay fresh?
We don't carry either of those teas but as long as the herbal teas are stored in a cool, dry, and ideally air-tight bag or container, they should stay fresh for about a year.
I’m gonna start buying those Infinity Jars at this point. I can’t keep up at this point😅
What about Red Raspberry leaf tea?, I have one packed since 2020, is that still consumable? Please and thank you 🙏
