Tea with Olivia
Canada
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 20 มี.ค. 2011
Hi! I'm Tea Master Olivia, based out of Vancouver, Canada. I own and operate a premium tea shop with tea and teaware rooted in quality and tradition. For as long as I can remember, tea has been my family's daily routine. As we moved to Canada in 1970's, we struggled to find a reliable source for authentic high-quality Chinese tea. Motivated by this in 1981, my parents created a space where fellow immigrants and new tea lovers could enjoy some of the finest teas in the world. It's now been almost 40 years since but our mission stays the same, join us as we explore the world of premium tea.

This video changed my life. My hosting experience will never be the same. Peace and Longevity.
Hellu, can i use my tea pet with the traditional indian chai tea. It has milk and sugar in it so i am not sure, but we drink it 3 times a day
Where can I get some?
Jesse’s teahouse, mei leaf tea, and yunnan sourcing
I have acid reflux and have to take capsules every morning , is there a way for me to stop taking them please?
Cooked puerh is known for improving stomach gut health, including acid reflux! Thank you for watching!
In a very simplified manner, you taught a lot of things. Great tutorial, great teacher!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for watching!
So lovely. I am enamored by the fact that for example Gong Fu style treats each tea as a jewel. We are meant to smell the aroma before we even taste it with the rinsing of the leaves. The first pour being a beautiful cup full of aromatics and color and exquisite taste. Tea jewels...much like your lovely videos. Thank you "Olivia." Forgive my informality as I do not know your family name.
Thank you for your kind words. And thank you for watching!
Very helpful!
Glad it was helpful! Thank you for watching!
Hi I have a question for you. This tea can be infused many times. What is the best way to preserve the tea in-between infusion times. For example if I make the tea morning, can I preserve it and use the same tea leaves for the evening?
The benefit won’t be the same if you preserve brewed tea for later use. However, if you can’t finish all the infusions, you can add some water and let it steep in the fridge as a cold brew. It will be a great summer drink! Cheers!
@@treasuregreentea what a fantastic idea 😍
🎉🎉🎉🎉 Hello Madame I would like to know which one tea for good health ? Best regards Chivse
Depends on what benefits you’re looking for! For example, if you want to keep your gut healthy and promote digestion, Puerh would be an idea choice!
@@treasuregreentea Hello Madame About tea and how about oulong tea ? Could you compare with puert tea and wugii tea and … please 🙏 Thanks 🙏 be best heath
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thank you!✨🎉

Hello Madame I would like you to tell about oulong tea and what kind of oulong and what is the best quality …. ? Thanks 🙏 Best regards Chiv se

@@treasuregreentea Thanks 🙏 if you has time more details please and which region is good and the best tea 🍵 ? Thank. Miss
I watched this for many reasons but mainly to know how it’s pronounced
Hope it was helpful! Thank you for watching!

The first bamboo tray was interesting, with the "Big Dipper" carved into it. Thank you for the information.
Thank you for watching!
I just ordered my Mingqian 2024! Thanks for sharing your knowledge! I will try to make Longjing prawns!
Thank you for watching! Enjoy the delicious food and tea!
Is Wuyi Cliff Tea the only one you are supposed to double slurp with? If not what are some others that require this technique?
We recommend enjoying Wuyi Cliff Tea by double slurp due to high mineral contents. The mineral aroma will amplify your tea experience. Hope it helps!
Where do you purchase these teas?
We have different growers or factories that we partners with in Xishuangbanna, Yunnan province. Thank you for watching!
I enjoyed this video very much! I think I go for a light coloured bamboo tray, rectangular shape.
That’s a great choice! Thank you for watching!
Very informative. Great vid. Thank you so much. Realy like thia video
Glad you liked it! Thank you for your watching!
I really love your crab sitting on the rock. I had never heard of these before now.
That crab tea pet is popular one! Thank you for watching!
Made my first cup of good tea today by following your video! I bought a gaiwan teapot and pu'er tea brick 4 days ago and made tea every day since. But before watching your video, my boyfriend kept saying my tea tasted like wood chips lol! Today he thought the tea tasted really good. Thank you!
Lovely to hear that! Glad the video helped. Happy sipping!
I love your videos!
Thank you for watching!
Yes the video was helpful, thank you
Glad to hear it! Thank you!
should i rinse my tea leaves?
It is recommended to help tea leaves slightly open up and get rid some of the impurities. Thank you for watching!
What about dark violet glass such as Miron glass apothecary jars? Its my favorite to use. Bless you for your videos and knowledge.
As long as the light doesn’t go through the container, it will protect the tea longer. We recommend avoiding smell and light to prolong the tea shelf life. Happy sipping!
What about mixed teas? What temperature and brewing time would you suggest? Such as chai's or for example black teas with lavender or maybe even dried fruits like currants and such. Wonderful informative videos. Bless you.
If it’s black tea base you could try 90-95c for 1 min or follow the brewing instructions indicated in the package. Finding your perfect brewing method can be fun too! Thank you for watching!
Thank you so much! So informative, and assisting me greatly in my gongfu tea collection, I am buying pieces one at at time as I can afford them and what appeals to me aesthetically.
That sounds exciting! Thank you for watching!
Where is all this water draining too?
There’s a compartment under the tea tray that catches water. Thank you for watching!
Thank you I appreciate your information.
Thank you for watching!
Thank you! I appreciate you sharing your knoledge
Thank you for watching!
Amazing video, I loved it! LOL I didn't realize what I didn't know until watching this video and it was very helpful. Thanks for posting.
Thank you for watching!
I've only brewed tea the gongfu way for about a year. I just didn't know the huge difference there was between western and Chinese brewing. I started with just using my aeropress which I had for coffee, stepped up to one of those all in one easy gongu tea brewer things, and now I've got my gaiwan coming in the mail. You're etiquette videos, and watching some tea house sessions have helped tremendously. I've also got a dry tea table coming in the mail and really enjoyed your video about how to set up your tea table. Thank you for the gift of your wisdom. :)
Thank you for watching! Let’s enjoy tea together!
Thanks for the information. I’d like to vacuum seal some good black tea in the future. 😊
Thank you for watching!
Where is the Stone Plate from?
The stone tea tray is also from China, and can come in various sizes and shapes!
I appreciate the information, they have been randomly popping up everywhere and only recently. I think this is dumb as shit personally but good to know and to each their own.
Thank you for watching :)

Good video. I have some of these teas but haven't broken any up as nmot sure about opening them up. I have the very hard compressed teas though
Thank you for watching! Utilizing the tea cake knife would be easier to open them up!
Always happy to see you make new videos and always happy to learn more from you! Thank you!! ❤️
Thank you very much for watching!
So, if I were to have a very mismatched and colorful tea set; what would that say about me?
You get one of a kind set so it's very special!
I've been waiting for new Segment Tea with Olivia! So happy to see this Video about Tea Cake and how to insert the tool to break apart. I've started my own Tea Journey and watched all your Videos. They have been so helpful. I hope you will produce more Tea Videos like this.. So happy to watch you again it's been too long!!! 😂
Thank you very much for waiting! More contents coming up!
Lovely video! I have heard that white tea ages better in airtight storage (unlike puerh and dian hong). So then maybe a glazed container or porcelain would be better (as with aging oolong). But storing white tea for aging is still quite new to me. What are your opinions here!
Correct! To age white tea it should be stored in a sealed container to maintain its honey-like aroma. Keep it away from light, maintain a stable temperature, and avoid strong odors and moisture to preserve its flavor. Hope this helps 🙏
