  • Adding some crash protection to the FZ-07 (or MT-07 or XSR700 or even that Tracer 700 thing, they're all the same basically). The kit from T-Rex Racing comes with EVERYTHING! Frame Sliders/Speed Rails, Axle Slider, Case Savers and spool sliders. Other than putting a huge stunt cage this is gotta be the best crash protection you can get.

    Can’t say enough good things about t-Rex slider kits!!! Got em on my drz and I slid that bitch across 20 feet of pavement and there was zero damage other than the sliders that showed only a little bit of scrapes. So awesome

    • @2wheelmotohead339
      @2wheelmotohead339 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      co8539 even without the trex gear the DRZ is just a beast. I had case savers and a skid plate from thumper talk on mine when I crashed it. Did an endo at 55mph on asphalt and shattered my collarbone into 5 pieces. Picked up my DRZ 400 and it had some scratches and a broken turn signal bulb. It started up and drove away just fine. Fuckin amazing bike

    MY fz droped 3 times and the floor havent reach the swingarm, I believe if you have a drop with this stand support your swingarm will scratch, so the sliders that you put on the wheel will be much more funtional.

  • @HeftyMann
    @HeftyMann 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have these frame sliders and axle sliders. The frame sliders where the biggest pain in the ass to install ever. The dam engine dropped on the onside and it wasn't just a little bit off but more than half of a bolt off so with jack underneath was still way off. I had to use my breaker bar to pull the frame into place in order to make holes line up. ...You made this look too easy Jake.

    • @TheGardenSnake
      @TheGardenSnake  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      You didnt take both sides out at the same time did you?...

    • @HeftyMann
      @HeftyMann 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jake TheGardenSnake No I did one at a time. It was on the first one. It wasn't just from engine drop the frame also warped up it was like 40F out when I did it so the shrinking of the metal is probably to blame.

  • @AlePPPPPPPPP
    @AlePPPPPPPPP 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The one's that you have put on the engine should be tightened to 12 Nm of torque. It is pretty light, I can already tell you have overtightened them. Specific torque right there is one of the most important compared to any other place, as it has a gasket on both sides which prevents oil leakage. It might be just fine for a couple of months/years, but that might be the case you will get oil leakage in which case you will have to change both side gaskets.
    Just a comment to make other people aware,
    Ride safe!
