I gave up because even with a good foundation in sheet music reading I couldn’t play worship music for church with just chords on a sheet. You’ve blown my mind in just a few minutes and I’m literally in tears. I’ll be practicing a ton now!

Hi sis! I'm happy to report that I've progressed past the beginner stage of piano playing. I've been focusing on chords with my right hand for the time being; with a little more practice, I'll get better. After seeing this, I realized I needed to put more effort into developing my two hands' finger coordination before attempting chords with both fingers. I'm sure I can achieve a lot with a few more weeks of practice. God bless!

Putting in this comment just to say that I have never seen someone who “gets” the piano and can explain it better than you. I do this too, but I go through them all in second inversion, since then I can practise seeing these chords in an inversion. Later I'll do them all in first inversion. I never thought of staying in the same key for a whole week though, so this will be my new trick. I keep my eyes closed.

When I hear someone else playing a diatonic chord progression, it's beautiful. When I play it, it sounds like disjointed chords 🤔
