Hey everyone, good to be back! 5 years is way too long. Here's the link to the Chord Formulas Handbook:
    musiciansinspired.lpages.co/chord-formulas-handbook/
I have a lot of content ideas in the pipeline. Concepts I still don't see on TH-cam and concepts I think could be taught better. Expect more content coming your way!

Cause the classes made you do simple exercises that made you realise you didn't have a clue and were not intelligent enough to figure it out.
This video leaves out that part so you feel delusional.

      @isaacwest what?
Im a long time drummer and ive been teaching myself guitar and keyboard. Those are simple enough and just by reading sheet music im able to play songs.
Now that i want to make my own songs ive beenpaying more attention to the music breakdown videos i watch quite a lot only to realise half the stuff they say make no sense to me.
This video perfectly teaches me how chords, intervals, scales and more work and from there i can learn more about chord progressions, feeling, and more with those same vids with the connection of how that feeling relates to chords and other things

As a jazz musician, this is amazing! I would suggest making a part 2 to this video using some basic standards implementing your teachings, and also making a part 2 of how you can learn to comp using simple block chords and maybe teaching basic alternate voicing that a typical jazz pianist would use! Similar to your intro of "Someone to Watch Over Me"

This my second comment about this video because i NEED you ti understand just how DIFFERENTLY you have been able to put this all together with the CLEAREST MOST LOGICAL associations that has probably ever been written.
Think about this: music books and textbook companies have FOR YEARS tried to accomplish what you have done here. Please dont discount this for exception because it is similar to how you were taught it. Maybe so but probably over months not in ONE HOUR!
TRULY A SPECIAL METHOD. May you become wealthy for your contribution to society.

After spending several days streaming videos to learn about the basic piano system to help me progress, this is the best one. The instructor broke down the system progressively and incrementally built the learning based on the previous knowledge. You will find ease in listening and understanding without the need to stop the video and wonder about an unfamiliar term that suddenly pop up from the instructor which makes you go somewhere and search an answer. Apparently, that was what I did in other videos, not this one. Thank you very much!

I just want to say, "Thank You!!!!"...your knowledge of music theory and concepts, and your ability to easily present and explain them in a comprehensive manner, is, in my opinion, "unsurpassed".
I mean, there are others out there that probably have equal to or similar knowledge of the subject matter and I'm sure a lot of us are familiar with them by name, and they're good people, however, I sincerely don't think any of them teach as well as you do. I've learned so much so quickly simply watching your video.
I have referred so many people to this video, and they too by their own admission say they've learned so much so quickly.
I not only have a solid grasp of Music theory and chord structure but I can literally apply it and I can play better and I can play pretty much any song on the piano.... And I've only been playing self-taught for about a year!
Thank you again I look forward to more of your content..

I know how to play the piano reading notes and I play guitar with chords since the era of the Beatles but notes for classical pieces for guitar solo. Never had formal studies of music theories just what our mom taught us when were little, basic note reading.
I wanted to learn how to play chords on the piano many lead pieces but never understood nor managed to play chords on the piano for a simpler way of playing a variation of any piece. I've seen so many videos and this is best , clear explanation and well illustrated that I have encountered right from the beginning of your video .❤ ❤❤❤🎉. Finally, I understood all those numbers. I've been wanting to play my compositions from my guitar to the piano. Thank you very much! You are indeed a great gifted teacher.

I think it’s important to add that when omitting notes you can very well omit the root note of the chord so long as the bass player is covering that note, for example if a song has a Cmaj7 in it, the guitar player could just play an Em7 chord and the bass player could play a C note and the listener would actually hear a Cmaj7 being played. It’s actually very useful to do this in a song I feel it frees up space in the lows mids and prevents muddiness (clashing of frequencies) it could be used this way in a song: during verses the guitar could just be playing an Em7, but during the chorus for could then switch to playing a Cmaj7, along with the C on the bass for added energy.
