As someone who truly is a beginner this video presentation is WAY more helpful than anything I'm presently taking in my Digital Analysis course which is one of five core courses in a Digital Marketing Certificate program offered through one of Canada's main universities. I'm saving it and watching it again!
I just launched my wife's art sales website. I've been looking through analytics and just bumbling around. This video was so helpful, especially the campaign section. That's so much!
For the first time, I understand Google Analytics! I've already subscribed to your channel and I'm already looking forward to your other tutorials. Thanks so much for shedding light on this very important resource.
Thank you very much, your video made it so simple! I've been using Google Analytics for more than 15 years and couldn't dare play with it. Now I can. Thank you once more!
I have just finished my second year of my degree, I'm doing Software Dev but have been offered an interview for a Digital Marketing Intern (which is something of a grey area for me but it relates to my intended career)..................this video has put me in the picture brilliantly for preparing for my interview (and role......if I get accepted for the position!). I have liked and subscribed to your page................thankyou for the insight. Keep up the brilliant work.
@@rankingacademy Hi mate, just to let you know they called yesterday.......I got the position! so pleased. I will be keeping your videos within close reach for some reference to help me along. Thanks again.
They need to add this to film school since most new filmmakers have to move into a social media content role. Companies want you know how to make video edit and know this plus fb ads
Yep. When I finally had a chance to go to college I changed my major from film to English so I would at least learn to become a strong storyteller, and now I'm taking an online digital marketing course. Exhausting.
Simple & clear explanation to understand Google Analytics easily. Must watch for the beginners who are learning from scratch. Thank you, Ranking Academy 🙌
Great video! It’s the best walkthrough of analytics I have viewed so far! Definitely watching your Wordpress video as well. Thank you for the great work!
Really great explanation on how Google Analytics work! Thank you. You broke this down really well and it was easy to follow. A really straight forward walkthrough that anyone could understand! Thanks again.
This was an awesome use of time. Way easier to understand than what Google has on their site OR Shopify, for that matter! YES, I have subscribed and will be watching ALL of your videos! I need to catch up! Thank you so much!!

Great info seriously, i feel it too much for me to understand everything from once, i need to repeat it a few times to catch and save everything in my mind, but seriously it is a great source of knowledge about Google Analytics. Thank you so much for this great efforts.
Yup, I agree with all the positive reviews of this video! This has been the most helpful video about Google Analytics I've ever seen. Big thumbs up! THANK YOU!
I only saw the name Google analytic on job applications and it was not included in my CV. I noted everything and I read some articles and also after this video, I can add it to my resume, thank you very much.
Love it. I've been looking for something like this in a while and couldn't find anything that was simple enough, now I have. Keep doing what you are doing :-)
Probably the best damn video I've seen that actually explains analytics in straightforward terms I understand. As an SME I need to be much more aware of the idiosyncracies of my website and thanks to you I now do understand it better. I've also downloaded the dashboard thank you and have subscribed. Keep doing what you are doing without all the fancy talk and hieroglyphics.

I am happy you're covering this now. Here is my question: one of my clients doesn't know or remember his Analytics credentials so I dont have access to it. What should I do? Is there a way to gain access to his Analytics or should I create a new one?
Thanks for taking the time to do this video because I really didn't understand what I should be looking at and how to turn things around. Very useful and informative.
Hi! First of all, I want to thank you for this tutorial, super useful! I have a question regarding bounce rate, Google explains bounce rate as a single-page session on your site, that would include homepage and closing the browser? or would include homepage and another page and then closing the browser? example: homepage > search something on the search bar tap enter > search page results > close browser or home / or homepage > tap on article > close browser?? Just trying to understand user behavior and from where the bounce rate is actually taken into consideration
Excellent presentation and explanation of a complex product. This is a big help in my quest to offer SEO and digital marketing services. I didn't realise just how much data is available from Google Analytics until I watched your video. Thanks
Glad it was helpful Martyn. Note that this version of Google analytics will be deprecated next july. I would suggest you familiarise yourself with the latest version called GA4. You can find a tutorial for it here: th-cam.com/video/gjNSEksLxoc/w-d-xo.html
I think I have never learned more from a tutorial! I am new both at your channel and in the Google Analytics world. It is all really beautifully explained. Thank you for sharing your time and expertise!
@@rankingacademy Thank you. :) I have one question. I am in search of the answer just now, so hope you can refer me to the relevant video, if you have it. I made my first call only campaign in Google Ads and now I would like to have the calls from the campaign set as goals in Google Analytics. While searching for the answer I only come across explanations about calls from the company website, but so far I have nothing on tracking calls directly from the paid ad. Thank you in advance!

@@rankingacademy I'm wanting to track multiple sites that are mostly shared domains. I need to learn where, and how to properly install the coding on each of them. I'm always up for new challenges, and while this isn't exactly my cup of tea, it's got to be done.
Not sure what you mean exactly by shared domains. If you are trying to track multiple sites you should install tracking codes separately using the Google verification process which is very simple. If you are using subdomains from a main domain the tacking code can be the same. Installing the code will depend very much on what the sites are built on. If you use wordpress then it's super simple. Not sure if this is helpful as I don't have enough info to fully answer your question
@@rankingacademy Mostly for social medias and microstock agencies. Whereas I am a user of each, not the owner. I've searched through some forums, and the common answer seems to be I'm trying to do the impossible. Most social medias do have analysis within the apps or sites, which is great - So I'm not as impatient. I've succeeded with SEO in some areas, and it's really awesome seeing those results despite having learned some lessons the hard way in the process. Taking a step back from all the new information, I've been able to do some planning. All the knowledge that can be readily attained by videos such as yours, and others is much appreciated, it's time to start giving back in the comments :) Happy New Year's!
I've watched the whole video and thanks for laying it out on laymans terms. Something doesn't make sense to me. You've highlighted "dog-walking" as the page with the highest bounce rate around 15:08, but at 29:44-29:58 it shows that this same page has the highest avg time spent and is the "most interesting". How can it have the highest bounce rate when it's also the page where most users spend time on?????? I'm confused.
Hi Marvin. Thanks very much for your input. In answer to your question, these figures aren't incompatible. Although there is a high bounce rate, visitors who stick with it tend to spend a long time on it. This makes sense as it is a very long article page. Hope this answers your question.
Excellent video....thank you so much. Surely gives confidence to individuals to approach Google analytics with atleast basic clarity and not be afraid of it.
