Thank you for showing the area, now the food truck video becomes clearer. Not only did they know the area but this had to be planned. A knife , because gunshots would alert surrounding neighbors, 6 people but 4 murdered, nothing missing, nothing stolen, the dog was unharmed, no forced entry, they knew how to get inside. And they must have known where the bedrooms were to quickly and quietly get in and out. They had to be on foot so where did they go when they escaped? Do they live in walking distance or did they park nearby but wasn't seen? How far was the party the couple were at? Did these 4 reject someone that wanted into their group? Lots of questions.
Also was this someone who knew Maddie's boyfriend and called his number on both girls phones to point suspicion that way? If it were the boyfriend he surely had access to her phone and could have at least erased the calls to him on her phone. Maybe not her friends but on hers I think.

I went to U of I a long time ago and have been injesting a ton of content. A red head guy that works there people are saying is a suspect. Goes he walks home near the area where the girls lived. I loved the Bagel shop when I was a student there. People that work there definitely get to see “EVERYTHING “ and everybody on the weekly basis.
The police said they wanted any video from between 3 am and 6 am on that day. I'm wondering why they didn't want video from the evening and early morning hours before that.
Maybe they felt they were lacking video over those hours. Hard to guess really,could be a more specific reason. They have demonstrated they won't tell you what or why until they are ready to do so.
This is so heartbreaking, I hope they catch the person that did this. Hopefully Camera footage from all over will help. Condolences to these poor families

As a mama myself, there’s no possible way i would allow my child to stay there. Even if i was a shop owner, or a store employee, Im sure I’d want to leave, if it was at all feasible to do so. LE had said that there were no apparent signs of forced entry or a break in. But what if the perp was invited I inside? Maybe they had a bit if an after party get together, and the perp asked to crash on the sofa? That way, no break in, he is known to the residents of the house, everyone goes to bed ro sleep, and he's already inside the house...just thinking outside the box...
They might not even have locked the front door in the first place. When you are 21, you are invincible - nothing can hurt you. Especially the slider doors in back though - would they really have thought to lock those even if they weren't 21 and invincible? But I agree he could already have been inside. There was additional bedroom not in use.
I told Chris the suspect obviously knew his way around and possibly knew the girls for awhile watching them. The girls were obviously targeted for a reason. The other two girls that were not killed had their rooms locked downstairs is what saved them from being murdered.
Google Earth shows what appears to be a trail or path leading away from the crime scene, via the parking lot at the back of the house, heading directly south to Anderson Frontier Park and points further south. If I were the perp, this is the route I'd take because it seems that a straight line through neighborhoods on foot (also, that's how Jack the Ripper did it, and I assume the perp admires him) would be stealthier and faster than trying to navigate the winding streets via car. Plus, fleeing the scene in a car would contaminate the car and also risk a fortuitous traffic stop. Spitballing, I realize.
I was thinking about the flea markets in that area as well as antique shops being where the knife could have been purchased. I also seen another comment that said the knife could have possibly been bought at a fair .
Yes, but you can also purchase those knives in stores and online. There are likely thousands sold each year. So they'd need to narrow down the brand and model first. Then they'd need to try to get info from stores and online sites that sell that particular one.

Everything were hearing is hyper focused on this bar & food truck! What about the frat party the other 2 attended? What were the 2 survivor's doing that night? Obviously something if they slept through the whole thing until noon the next day!
In the video is a 2nd vehicle. I do believe he was at or sitting on the Club. He followed & then surveilled the house and waited to strike. From just seeing the rear of (v) house today I believe as of tonight S watched from the rear. A lot of area for concealment and the weather is a huge factor. Great video Chris and Team. Instant sub. I had a thought Chris... let me know what you think. 2 of the girls called the one boy multiple times.... just in the time frame of the deaths... thin its possible it was faster to redial last called, instead of 911? maybe a clue as to who was there? I keep feeling like them calling him was sign for some reason. LE also seems to hedge a BUNCH when asked about those calls and clearing that person. any thoughts?
I agree with you. Something in my gut from the very beginning of this case has said the fact that they were making all those calls or texts to Jack there's something there. Very interesting what you had to say. Have a good night.
Sometimes you can still be best friends with an ex. and if both of the girls knew him and called him (I thought it was only the ex who called the ex?) that could mean they had something very, very interesting to tell him that couldn't wait til the next day. Maybe they ran into someone all three knew and had interesting gossip to share.
ya the calls were really suspicious to me. like i cant imagine making 7 consecutive calls to somone at 2am is normal behavior for anyone. id like to know if theyve checked her phone log to see if thats normal behavior for her, if its the 1st time then its hard to believe its not related to the case

I don't think it was the ex-boyfriend. I think it was Maddie's boyfriend Jake that sold his truck.

Rigth! They needed video from 12am (midnight) to 12 pm on that Sunday!
And the evening before, as thr perp may have done his last survey / dry run of the target. Might see some guy with binocs behind the apartment.
I believe something started in the bar, hence a male friend thinking he had to stay by them until they went home.
I wonder too, if that was the first time in the recent past they were escorted home from that bar for safety.

Everything were hearing is hyper focused on this bar & food truck! What about the frat party the other 2 attended? What were the 2 survivor's doing that night? Obviously something if they slept through the whole thing until noon the next day!

In the video is a 2nd vehicle. I do believe he was at or sitting on the Club. He followed & then surveilled the house and waited to strike. From just seeing the rear of (v) house today I believe as of tonight S watched from the rear. A lot of area for concealment and the weather is a huge factor. Great video Chris and Team. Instant sub. I had a thought Chris... let me know what you think. 2 of the girls called the one boy multiple times.... just in the time frame of the deaths... thin its possible it was faster to redial last called, instead of 911? maybe a clue as to who was there? I keep feeling like them calling him was sign for some reason. LE also seems to hedge a BUNCH when asked about those calls and clearing that person. any thoughts?
I agree with you. Something in my gut from the very beginning of this case has said the fact that they were making all those calls or texts to Jack there's something there. Very interesting what you had to say. Have a good night.
Sometimes you can still be best friends with an ex. and if both of the girls knew him and called him (I thought it was only the ex who called the ex?) that could mean they had something very, very interesting to tell him that couldn't wait til the next day. Maybe they ran into someone all three knew and had interesting gossip to share.

ya the calls were really suspicious to me. like i cant imagine making 7 consecutive calls to somone at 2am is normal behavior for anyone. id like to know if theyve checked her phone log to see if thats normal behavior for her, if its the 1st time then its hard to believe its not related to the case
