Dr. Ann Burgess was a guest on a panel talking about the Idaho murders along with acclaimed forensic psychologist Dr. Gary Brucato, ret. Profileriler Greg Cooper and Dean Jackson with the Cold Case Foundation.
Dr. Ann Burgess: The highly-acclaimed Netflix series "Mindhunter" based on the fictional character of Dr. Wendy Carr, directly off on Ann. She is currently a Boston College Professor of Nurses, a pioneer in assessing and treating trauma victims. She and FBI special agent John Douglas developed a new type of criminal profiling of notorious serial killers years ago. John Douglas wrote about their work inrenownedenown book, "Mindhunter: Inside the FBI's Elite Serial Crime Unit." His book was the basis for the fictionalized Netflix series "Mindhunter," which can still be viewed today.

Tools that work in a variety of ways are often thought of as superior to single-use tools. Women gave us the "tool" that it was a red flag if a man paid for a women's dinner on a date and then felt entitled to something physical from her. Such a man is indeed a potential drapist; yes, him feeling entitled to even a kiss after paying for her meal shows he just might be a struggler/snuggler.
But can this lesson we learned be applied to other cases, for instance can it help us with these Idaho stabbings? I think it can. And it's all about entitlement.
Who felt entitled to look in the windows of 1122 King Road? Who felt like it was cool to destroy the property of an adult who had purchased adult beverages? Who showed up for a noise complaint, achieved silence within three minutes of their arrival, but then stuck around and threatened and threatened and threatened? Who talked about these college kids using language that showed how jealous they were of their lifestyle?
We have a lot of evidence of jealousy and entitlement. And it's all on the bodycam footage, both on September 1st, 2022 and the night of the murders.

Just a note. On November 13th the moon was wanning gibbons with approximately 77% illumination so its possible it played a part in the light levels. I don't know what kind of cloud cover there was that night. Also, many people have a lot of electronics in their bedrooms which could have provided some light. The perpetrator could have stood silently in the dark upon entering the house to adjust to light levels. Just thoughts. BTW I watched this entire discussion and it was fantastic. So much good information from professionals speculating on a minute amount of information. I love that y'all are going back and pulling out significant points to bring to our attention.. Thank you

Good knives are expensive. I'm not a chef but I've got some knives that were expensive when I bought them or when they were given to me many years ago. It would be a big bite in the finances to have to replace one. Check out Wusthof, for example, see the price of regular consumer knives and figure the ones chefs use probably cost way, way more.

I understand surveillance, but I heard Kaylee came by to show off her new vehicle, and her room was packed up, so she stayed in Maddies room. He may have known the layout of the house from parties, or seen the house online. But, didn't he have to have the most latest info on Kaylee that she was there for the weekend and was in Maddies room? Plus, could he have been waiting in one of the vacant rooms? Thanks for all of the work and great folks involved on your channel for this case. Everyone is doing an outstanding job. Merry Christmas and Happy New Years.

Kemper was a good example used by DR Ann Burgess. I think many are over-focusing on the entry and exit of the home. It was virtually an open house. I am from an area near Moscow. Small communities have a more relaxed attitude about leaving their doors unlocked. I think the roommates were more concerned about locking their bedrooms. If I were he, I would have entered and exited where it is the darkest and least observable spot. He had to have been suited up over clothes and shoes. It was a well-planned blitz attack. I don't think Xana or Ethan were his targets but one of them saw him when he arrived on the second floor. Based on that, the attack on the couple was more frenzied. Keep in mind these people were sleeping and had been drinking. Even if a person is sober and sleepy while being attacked, they won't be alert enough yet to fully comprehend what is going on. With this house's open-door policy it would be easy for anyone to survey the territory, plan it out and wait for the best opportunity to attack. I kinda a guess the missing, Ethan, and Xana, five hours was spent in Ethan's room at his place and they decided to go back to her room for more privacy. The guy is local and probably a loner who is a little off but no one is concerned about him. He is a laborer, probably hunts, and has butchering skills via farm or ranch work. He is probably scared shitless at this point and is laying low but trying not to be obvious about it. I think he may have skinned that dog in September as a precursor. He really planned this. He could have ordered a lot of what he needed online to avoid being detected in the region when buying his kill kit.

I think the perpetrator is getting his jollies by watching all of the conversations. Totally reliving the crimes. It's possible this was a one time thing for him. It's also possible that the absolute power trip he's getting from all this publicity and public interest pushes him into a serial pattern. Or, he was a Serial already. Everything on our part is pure speculation but some things make sense.

He could have brought a backpack and left it outside so he could strip off the coverings and put them in the backpack along with the knife(maybe not if kept as a prize and an extension of his malehood) and then grown away in the storm drains on the street orin any one of the many dumpsters all over town, away from the crime scene.

Just curious about this, but I had heard online that there were no coverings on the windows? The young man who lived in the student building next door mentioned in an interview that when he would walk his dog at night by the house, he could see people partying in the house. This might not have anything to do with the case but if the girls were watched at any time might come into play.
