Mike V was the best skate demo I ever want to in my hometown. He skated the entire park and the parking lot. He broke his arm in the demo and even kept skating. LEGEND.
JOHN LUCERO would be a GrrrrrREAT guest. I'm SURE he has some old stories and it would be great to go from skating, to company build, and then SKATE ART! (for a while)
I had the pleasure of seeing Mike V on the Bones Brigade tour in 88 in upstate NY. He did this 10 foot wallride off a launch ramp. Then wallied off the side only to level his board out for the most flush landing! It was the most athletic move I've ever seen live. That move has stuck with me for 34 years. Dude was just so far ahead of everyone else there skating. Super nice as well. He just talked and hung out with every skater there. Glad you're doing well kind sir.🤙🤙
@@eddierocksteady lm not going to mention a name but they had a guy recently that I thought was going to be good but it put me straight to sleep. He has an amazing new video with the worst music....
Mike V is easily one of the best story tellers in all of skateboarding. These conversations are so important bc once all the founding fathers are gone, these recordings and videos are all we will have left to teach the history of skateboarding.
Love Mike’s stories… such a solid, but humble point of view. I’ll support him in anything he does! Getting a pair of his shoes for sure. Next episode should be 6 hours!
Always a guaranteed good time when Mike V is in the hot seat, such a legendary career in skating and took zero shit from security guards. Love this guy.
Mike is the man. Love that he mentions Hosoi. I always thought his style translated to street really well, and he had a real creative and natural approach/ability to skating it. I love watching the 80;s streetstyle contests...Savannah etc...
11 year old me was thrilled to see Mike V. on the Tony Hawk tour at Woodward. I still have the poster hanging on the wall in my garage with Mike's and many others Autographs
just discovered this guy cause of BATB (new skater) it was a treat watching that crazy battle and i like this guys company. this is why skaters need to work together cause one vid can change my life
I know a lot of people will be as disappointed as me that this is "only" 2hrs long. Mike - we are more than happy to hear from you. Such great tales, so committed to the sport.
Man I feel better, Mike V doesn't even know who half the current skaters are. That is DEFINITELY the biggest change. No way we didn't know everyone at a contest 10 yrs ago. The Olympics - who the fuck are 90% of these people?
Thanks to the 9 club for having Mike on. The first time i thot heres mr angry. After hearing i went out and bought 2 of his boards from Powell. I am 50 and starting skating again. And respect the stories the drive the life the man.
Mike, your Suburban Diners part was like my training manual as a grom man. Don't think I saw it here in New Zealand till '96, it made me stop spending all my time practicing tricks and just go out and ride, and appreciate the street. I'm stoked life is good for you bro.
Man I saw this come up last week and I have been so stoked to listen to this; life just got in the way and skating of course. The wait has been 100% worth it. Could listen to Mike V for dayyyys.
Mike's Cariuma shoe is the greatest skate shoe I've ever had. I hit the skatepark for 3 hours on the first day, and my skating was instantly better. Like, noticably. Consistency and stylistically, everything felt better. SUPER comfortable and supportive, everything you need with nothing extra to get in the way. Also, I probably did 150 flip tricks and attempts, and there was barely even a scuff. No holes. No rips. No severed shoelaces. I got home and ordered 2 more pairs immediately (they're 50% off right now, which is the same as buy 1 get 1 free).
@1:25 "hell bent"....fun fact, on the episode of skatepark tour when they roll into Encinitas, as Mike starts charging into the park, the song they are playing is "Hell Bent" Brian Setzer
Holy crap. that foot injury. I feel your pain. I did that exact same thing to my left foot. Then one year later did it to my right foot. toes down, heel up and sat on it both times. My left foot is still weird sometimes. Makes some gnarly pops and aches. It's all good tho'. 51 and still skating!.
Seriously, that Barnyard graphic with The Nine Club and MikeV...HELLZ YEEEEW! There are soooooooooooooo many skaters that could barnyard characters. HOLY CRAPPERS!!! What a great idea!! I reeeeeeeeeally hope that comes to be.
Love Mike V and all his stories I get very excited when he comes back to the nine club. Fantastic job guys keep it up. Totally down for the nine club barnyard deck by streetplant. LETS GO!!!!! 🐘
Pleeeeeease get Svitak on the show! His and Mike's parts in "Label Kills" are my favorite skate video parts ever. So much so that I currently ride a Mike V/Svitak Friendship deck from Streetplant 💚
His Black Out part is one my favorites!!! The only skate vhs I had for a while and watched it on repeat. That long ass board slide at the end is sick as fuck
You should do a Nine Club tour...I'm sure there's tons of people (like me) that would pay to hear you talk live. Mike V would definitely have to be a part of it.
orthopedic doctors usually do undetstand the rehab part, at least where i live, but surgery and clinical doctors youll see ab fractures and mris really have no idea ab the rehab part of it and thats facts, been told ill never skate again many times lol still skating today 24 yrs young boi
Great episode. I'm surprised Mike didn't mention the worlds largest public skatepark that was recently built in Des Moines. He hosted a few contests there
this is the only podcast i like to sit and watch, rather than just listen. Especially when Mike V is here. great episode 🙏🏻
gotta see their expressions and stuff great video podcast
Can Mike just be a monthly guest? He's such a great guy and I could listen to his stories every day.
Hey. Mike is a businessman man now. Ask if he can be a guest 3 times per fiscal quarter. 😂
I love the stories! For him to give such praise and respect to Jamie Thomas and talk about the old days is why I love The Nine Club. 🧡
Jeron is such a friendly face, he really carries himself well and i really enjoy hearing what he has to say
The most humble dude that is one of the best to ever do it!
Questions from the discord is a genius move, really great way to connect the viewers and the guests and dig into some new topics. Great stuff!
The love Mike has for skateboarding is above and beyond.
Facts. Amen
Mike Vallely is an absolute legend. Love this guy & everything he has done for skateboarding

9.5 total hours of Mike V on Nine Club. Hell yeah.
I was half expecting another 5hr marathon with Mike Vallely.
I was hoping but, alas, not this time.
Mike V is the best. Such a good outlook on life and great energy.

Mike V episodes are always on another level. Please do that collab board!
Great Mike V re-visit!
This man is 51 years old and looks great. I'm inspired. I'm 28 and the idea of growing old scares the shit out of me.
I'm 35 and I still skate everyday. I even still do big drops. Just don't ever let off the gas and old age will never catch up to you
@@UrbanOutlawsSk8Co I'm 28 and if I don't stretch, sleep right and actually take time to warm up with my skating, then I basicly can't skate.
That's so weird, Chris! I flipped over a car as well when I saw the Mike V stop n chat thumbnail! So excited to watch this.
So stoked! I love Mike Valley on the nine club. I listen to his stories on your podcast alot when I'm going to bed
This is amazing just what I needed while being snowed and iced in during a winter storm. He’s still my favorite episode.
Nice to see OG skater (s) on this channel.
Mike, my dude, anytime you’re willing to talk, we will ALL be out here listening.
Ain’t no Nine Club like a Mile V. Nine Club ❤️

Love seeing Mike stop by. One of the greats.
I literally JUST finished watching Mikes 5 hours video for the first time, and looked down to see this being posted 1 hour before. Amazing day.

I have so many street plant boards. I love these boards so much!! Great quality and great customer service.
On the team skating into a wall 😂

One of my favourite skaters for life since I discovered skateboarding in the late 80's.

I love Mike V. I hated him for no reason as a teen, love him for many reasons now as an adult.
I was the same way In jr high around 98-99.. It wasnt till years and years later i could see how cool of a dude he actually is and hilarious too
Nice I was in jr high around 06 -07. Hes been around for as long as street skating has existed so no wonder he had 5 hours of gold to tell last time
Mike V should actually working at Thé Nine Club. He's always my fav guest.
This might be one of the only "hangout" type of podcasts that works. The chill+cool factor is multiplied by 10 with guys like Mike V, obviously.
