Very excellent idea and demonstration sir. Keep it up
@@chetanpulate4548 Thank u so much for your comments and watching the video.
Thanks sir
Very helpful
Most welcome. Regards
What was the eluting solvent ?
Dear viewer plz watch the complete video we have mentioned the name of eluting solvent along with mode of elution. Regards
Can we use other solvent in place of n hexane
@@bsc-Chemistry_Classes Yes u can use any other solvent having polarity index similar to n hexane. For example u can try in petroleum ether or similar solvents
@@dr.amolbkhade3003ethanol ? No right ?
@@bsc-Chemistry_Classes ethanol can't be used. If u want to dry other solvents including ethanol, u can first develop a solvent system using TLC and they try.
Why is it important to remove the moisture from sample
It's very important to remove the moisture (which is adsorbed as impurity on the sample) so that it will not affect the separation/elution. Additionally when ur adorning sample on silica presence of moisture will not give u dry free flowing powder for sample loading in the column. Thanks for watching.
Thank you for your feedback. I apologize for the oversight in not mentioning the measurement of silica and other chemicals used in the experiment. You are simply adding to them why?please use the standard the columnn chromatography techniques
Didn't get what you wish to ask or convey. Plz state clearly to respond. Thanks
Measurement of silica is usually taken in 200 parts compared with that of sample, but by practice u can get the expertise and need not to measure exact quantity. Thanks for watching the video. Regards
