Entry for the Calice Cup Tournament.
Batsugun was a shmup released in arcades in 1993 and was the last game made by Toaplan before they went out of business. Later on a Special version of the game surfaced, which had many changes including loops, a single hit shield, tons of suicide bullets and a smaller hitbox (which I did a video on before). Batsugun is often called one of the first bullet hells, since it had many of the characteristics (many bullets, a small hitbox and tons of firepower).
One of the unique things about this game is the experience system. By destroying things you get "exp" and when you have enough, your ship levels up and gets a lot stronger. You level up twice before you reach max level. Because of this you want to maximize kills and milk destructible bullets so you level up faster.
Scoring in this game mostly involves secrets, and one of the secrets gives you like 80% of your total score, that being milking Jupiter. One of the secrets are the orange pigs. These show up here and there and they give you score if you hover over them. You uncover them by holding a certain direction during a certain moment.
Actually cleared this time.
Also this is apparently the highest scoring public replay with this character on the internet.

jupiter is so much harder than the rest of the game, its insane. only part stopping me from 1cc. yet you make it look easy!

Are you using some autofire setting? Seems like your damage output is far higher than mine when I play. I use Beltiana and just mash the fire button.

No, this is the original version. Jaimers also has a counterstop of Special version on his channel.
