looks out of place yeah. I wonder what Konami was eating when they came up with Iva. DOESN'T scream Twinbee at all. Sounds like he stepped on a blasted LEGO piece.
Great run ! I used to have a love/hate relationship for years with this game because of the bells upgrade system that I focused too much on. Once I figured out that it’s the main trap the game throws at the player only great things remain on this game. Colorful, beautiful, intense and fun. But you really have to leave those bells yellow unless the screen’s empty.
Poor Gwinbee =P Nice job on the loop. That death was quite unfortunate - not every enemy releases suicide bullets (it appears to be every other enemy). Combine that with the delay in ground enemies' suicide bullets and the ground enemies remain a threat far longer than one might expect.
It'd of course be more manageable but I bet it would still be quite difficult - still RNG hell and super unforgiving. No matter the size of the hitbox I'd want to stay as far away from those suicide bullets as I can.
seems the PC Engine version is more forgiving because of the single 1up hidden in the ground per stage while the arcade version has you stuck with only three in stock until the 2nd loop.
Loop 2 is quite nasty indeed, probably a little too hard for just a second loop. You'd expect to see that many suicide bullets in loop 3, if there is a loop 3 that is, never seen anyone complete loop 2 for that matter. I think the game even yanks away continues in the second loop.

that was .... unexpectedly horrifying

The game that rocketed Twinbee to stardom.

I don't remember playing this version of TwinBee. Anyways, good video as always Jaimers!
Dam I don't remember this being so awesome.
How would Loop 2 rate versus other games if the hitboxes were reasonable? It really seems like it would be a nightmare even without that silliness.

Light and Pastel to the rescue!
The save Melora from "OH GOD WHY IS THIS IN A CUTE-EM' UP?!"

Actually no, you can continue in 2nd loop. Also, the game is 2 loop end game (which is pretty nice).
